“Ryan, I want you to go and defuse the situation; use whatever method you want.”
Ryan stared at Richard as if he was staring at a madman; however, he noticed that harmless smile on his face.
“Richard... What you’re doing is the same as pushing me off a cliff.” Ryan mumbled with a tone unsure if he was being serious while knowing full well he was.
“Haha, I’m going to push you off a cliff for your training later, so do not compare this and that.”
“...” Ryan shook his head and decided to go help the youth on the floor.
Even though Ryan was only 12 he had lived on the street without any shelter. He had learnt that hardship and cruelty of reality very early on and learned to adapt, think faster and was forced to mature much faster than a normal child his age.
He moved his attention towards the centre, he was thinking, planning depending on the situation.
While he was doing this Ryan didn’t realise the approving gaze that Richard was giving him from the side.
“Adrian, what do you think we should do?” The tall blonde youth asked the other youth.
Adrian rolled his eyes but a cold smile appeared: “Edward, let’s toss him into the dungeons and slowly cripple him, after that we can return him to the Ferian clan.”
Hearing this, the shade of the youth's face went pale, he quickly quietened down. Following this, the youth let out a sigh, as he realised something.
“Excuse me, good sirs.”
A clear voice disrupted the entire situation causing everyone to turn towards the newcomer, Ryan stood there on that spot.
“Young masters, please show magnanimity to this young man who has offended you,” Ryan said with a sincere tone, lowering his gaze, but his voice was extremely firm.
In the wake of Ryan’s statement the crowd was surprised; to have the courage to even step out and address the Two Terrors could lead to death.

This was what prevented anyone to even try it because of the many rumours and stories of those being killed after offending the Two Terrors.
The Two Terrors in question, Adrian and Edward were startled at first, turned towards each other and then looked back at Ryan.
Edward had a small indifferent smile: “Boy, you want us to release him and show mercy? Why should we do that?”
Ryan was expecting such a reply at the least and already had a simple answer ready: “Young Masters, by showing mercy you’ll show the people that you can be both harsh, powerful and also merciful.”
“So Young Master please give him a chance to live, he’ll most definitely be indebted to you for granting him a path to live.” Hearing what Ryan was saying the youth on the floor noticed that the boy was trying his hardest to save him, even when no one else dared to say a single word against the two terrors.
A child was trying to save him, he was touched and so did not say anything but stare at the boys back.
Edward stared at Ryan and then turned waving his palm, “Forget it I’m bored now, just take him away.”
Hearing this Ryan’s face lightened up and went towards the youth on the floor to help him up.
At this moment a cold light appeared in his eyes as he gazed at this guard’s: “Kill them.”
As soon as he spoke all four of the guards obeyed, unsheathing their blades they rushed towards Ryan and the youth on the floor with killing intent.
They had no expressions on their faces when they acted, already being accustomed to such acts.
Adrian turned to Edward: “Quite evil of you, to give them a chance to live and then take it away.”
Edward hearing this ignored his condescending smile: “Do you think that I need the people’s approval? Naive, all that exists is power and with it, I can do whatever I want.” While saying this he was looking at the guards.
Out of the 4 guards, the one leading them was just about to reach Ryan. With his sword held at his side, he stabbed at Ryan before he could even react to the entire situation.
“Hmph.”
A chilling snort that wasn’t loud but was clear reverberated through the area; it was powerful enough the people’s ears ache.
Out of the blue, a heavy pressure appeared above the leading guard’s body and pressed down upon him, its weight akin to an enormous boulder.
“Argh,” the guard roared in pain, the strain of the weight was not just affecting his body but also putting a heavy pressure on his internals.
Both Edward and Adrian were shocked; from where they stood they could see the air trembling under the enormous pressure: “This energy... It’s Sage Force!” Adrian exclaimed in disbelief.
“Why would a Sage be here? He can’t possibly be related to the boy could he?” Although Edward was shocked, he did not randomly panic due to the spur of the moment and quickly deduced a possibility.
Just as he was thinking this, a man wearing a cloak walked out of the crowd, the most striking thing about him was the huge item wrapped in a cloth on his back.
Walking closer towards the guards Richard's gaze landed on the one kneeling on the floor. Hidden within his eyes was a killing intent that was barely kept under control, but was unnoticeable to the average man.
“You have overstepped your bounds.” Richard’s tone was calm and unperturbed, yet it still sent shivers down the guard’s body.
