David’s P.O.V.
I placed my hands at both of her sides to trap her. I couldn’t help but to be happy just by looking at her reaction—her cheeks were both stained red while she was trying to look either at her left or right side. I stared at her concentratedly and that was when I realized that she was truly beautiful—most especially if her eyeglasses would be removed.
“W-What are you doing?” she stuttered. She pushed my chest away but my body didn’t move even just a bit.
“Try me, Helena. I don’t care if you will believe me or not, but I’ve always been thinking of your soft lips for three months now. I… just can’t get enough of it,” I huskily whispered to her. I even winked at her while wearing my flirty smile.
What is wrong with me? And what am I even doing?
I was not used to doing these things. Yes, I had a girlfriend before but I didn’t have the opportunity to do this to Vanessa.
Who are you really, Helena? And what’s with you that you were able to bring out this side of me?
She then pushed me with all her might and I must admit, it was strong enough to get me out of balance and stepped away from her. “Did you eat something that suddenly drained your brain, Cristoff? And why do you keep on telling me a lot of nonsense here? I’m not even interested in you!” Helena angrily snapped at me.
I was surprised that her face went bloody-red now. I guessed it was no longer because of blushing, but because she was really mad at me.
She was also throwing some deadly stares as if murdering me in the process. I delayed taking action because I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know what to say to her. There was this unknown side of me that would not want Helena to get mad at me.
Did I push her towards her limits?
She sighed as she pointed at me with her forefinger, before adamantly poking my chest real hard. “I approached you because I wanted to talk about the strategy of making this Annual Camp a success. But what are you doing, huh? You kept on blabbering about that k-kiss I really don’t care about!”
She paused for a while before she continued, “Now, I don’t want to believe anymore that you are still running for the valedictorian title. Because you know what? For me, y-you are just like one of those ordinary, flirt, childish, and somewhat perverted boys in this school. I don’t want to talk about the accident that happened to us, I wanted to talk about ideas!”
And she really emphasized the word accident, huh? I didn’t know why, but the way how she said it… somehow hurt me.
She hurriedly went to her chair, held her bag, and walked towards the door, but she had not yet made a single step outside when I opened my mouth, “That explains everything, Helena.” I said that made her turn around.

“What are you trying to say?” She blankly stared at me for a few seconds.
“I scared the hell out of you, right? Mind you, Helena… you just called me Cristoff. You knew from the start that you can call me other than Rivera, so why do I have to frighten you first before doing that? Now, what? You’re walking out again, huh? I thought you wanted to talk about ideas, let’s start now!” I seriously said while raising my tone. Even though I made her mad at me, I could not accept the feeling that she compared me to other male teenagers here because first and foremost, I was not a pervert!
But who am I fooling here? I knew and I must admit… that she brought out this perverted side of me I never knew existed!
“I’ve changed my mind. Let’s do it all by ourselves for now. Just do your research and I will do mine on my own. Let’s talk about it tomorrow during our free time.”
She was about to leave me when I spoke, “Okay then, it’s fine with me… but let me clear things up, Helena. I want you to know that I’m not a perverted type of guy. I’m not a maniac! And if that’s what you think of me, then it was all because of you. I hated to admit but what happened to us was my first kiss, and if for you, it was an accident… well for me, it was an experience.” I said with conviction while my heart was beating freaking faster. It was so loud as if it wanted to come out.
She stayed at the door for a few more minutes, but she never glanced at me again. She never looked back. She inconsiderately left me after taking a deep breath.
I held my chest. My heart was still pounding so fast. It made me feel confused. I never thought of having the nerve to say those words. I left the classroom and my mind was still preoccupied. I got even more bewildered after Helena and I talked.
To divert my thoughts, I decided to go to the Computer Room and started my research about the Annual Camp strategies and methods that we could use for our proposal. Since senior students always lead, it would be my first time to handle this school year’s annual project.
This would be such great exposure for me being a valedictorian candidate. I should not disappoint Mrs. Cheng and the whole school admin. I should not fail them.
After I got all the important Annual Camp information and tactics as references, I didn’t yet turn off the computer. Because we could open our social media accounts here during break periods, I opened my Famebook.
My younger sibling, Denise, tagged me again on her cute selfie with a private message telling me to give the photo a heart reaction. I immediately complied because I couldn’t say ‘no’ to my twelve-year-old sister. She was so sweet, bubbly, and cheerful. How I wished that she would never grow up and just stay that way forever.
Then, I was tempted to look for Helena’s Famebook account. I typed Helena Mari Delgado on the search engine and after I clicked the enter key, I found two profiles. The first one joined four years ago while the other one only joined last year.
I opened the one who joined four years ago and her last public status update was posted about eighteen months ago…
Feeling happy. Traveling to Las Albas with Daddy and my twin.
Tagged: Athena Cari Delgado.
After that post, her timeline was filled with different ‘Get well soon!’ messages from her Famebook friends. That was when curiosity struck my head so I decided to open the tagged Athena Cari Delgado’s profile.
I couldn’t see other public status updates aside from the ‘Rest in peace!’ posts from her friends on Famebook. I checked again the joined-four-years-ago Helena’s profile and I compared her picture with that of Athena.
They looked exactly the same! They were unquestionably identical twins with the same rosy-white skin, charming face, sharp nose, thin lips, brown hair, and I guessed, also height… as well as the same green pair of eyes. Although Helena was wearing her eyeglasses from all the photos, they did not seem to have any difference at all.
It was a good thing that their profiles were not private. I found one picture of them where they were wearing the same hairband, shades, jump shorts, as well as slippers… and you would never be able to know who was who!
I then looked at the joined-one-year-ago Helena’s profile but she doesn’t have posts and her friends would not even reach twenty. I was not a stalker at all, but I just didn’t know why it felt like there was something I wanted to know… and why I had this feeling that something was wrong.
While copying and pasting all the three profile pictures using Photo Enhance software, I could say that the two Helenas were undoubtedly the same woman. That was when I noticed Athena’s difference and that made me frown. If I could see myself in the mirror, I was sure that my eyebrows were almost knitting together while thinking about something I wasn’t sure if I already encountered before.
I didn’t know why but it was Athena’s profile who really captured my attention. I browsed some of her closed-up photos and I suddenly got stunned when…
Wait! Why does it seem—
I looked deeply at Athena’s eyes and I just didn’t know why I suddenly felt goosebumps all over my body! There was something in her that I couldn’t set aside. I even blinked twice, because I couldn’t be wrong.
Those eyes… those green pair of eyes!
