Afterword

So... here we are. Runeshield Mage has been fully written and published, with a final word count of 931k words. Not that you'll see that number if you look at the stats on RR, since I was way too slow at the end, but who cares about details like that? It's over. We're done. The story is complete. Kinda.

> Do you regret anything with this work?

I fully regret book 1 & 2. To be frank, they were meant to be one book, yet the start got stretched too much, and... yeah. A full rewrite would've done them well, but I'd rather move on to other things.

> What was the best part of the series?

The start of book 3. Without a doubt. Out of everything I've written for this series, it's the part I'm the most proud of. Jakob as a character was a pleasure to work with as well. No regrets there.

> Are you fucking serious with that ending?

Yes. Have had it in my head since the beginning of book 2. Was always planning to have this be the end. Sorry if the set-ups were mainly in books 4 and 5. Kinda figured I had more words to work with but turns out I didn't.

Love what you're reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on.

> Any other works in the Runeshield Universe to be expected?

Not on the main world, since I'd rather not look at that system ever again. The next story will have much lighter LitRPG elements, ones that will be a little more important to the story as well.

I want to thank all of you who read this series to the end. I've never been known for writing good endings, both on this author's account and others, so I thank you for your trust.

And the delays.

Never have I botched an upload schedule more. So sorry for that, by the way. Won't happen with the next series, since I'm pre-writing most of it before it ever sets foot on RR. Expect it in... June maybe? Could be earlier.

Anyway.

Here's the concept art for it, at least. The working name is Rules of Biomancy

(Yes, I'm moving back to old men MCs. Nomad Healer was just the prototype. We're going full-in this time!)

That's just about everything I have to say. These last Runeshield books will be going live on Amazon in the following months, so be sure to check those out if you want to. Audiobooks are starting to appear as well, which is cool. No need to buy them, since you've already read it all here, but I wouldn't mind a rating sent my way.

...

Bye.
