Tis truly a saying, is it not
That a hero comes only at the last moment to the battle.
Yes, the hero only comes at the last moment.
Why?
Perhaps as some sort of test of those to be said.
One may even say that the very order that is being saved makes one a better person.
Perhaps it makes strength in a person.
For... it takes a truly strong person to keep believing in a saviour's return, most especially when all seems lost.
Truly, I say unto you, dear reader.
As for Vesturia, t'was indeed true that there were no knights of the First or Second order in Vesturia at the time.
Truly, that was certain.
However, what was not so, was that all the capable knights had made their leave from Vesturia.
Nay.
Nay I say unto you.
For the knights of the First and Second Order may have made their leave, however, the knights of the other orders, were by no means incapable.
It may, perhaps, perturb the lowly soul.
However, only a foolish order would leave their nation with no capable man to defend it.
Yes, that is fully true.
And, that such being said...
Jebadiah: There, my brothers.
... it had just so happened that the man by the name of Jebadiah Morningstone had found a pair of shinobi.
Ray and Derrick, playing about in the beastly flames.
Jebadiah: There lies our quarry.
His finger pointed his brethren to the two shinobi.
The pair, somewhat distracted by their own folly, razing buildings to the ground.
Ray: Hahaha!
Derrick: Now, see who is having too much fun:
Ray: Ha, Correct my brother. Correct.
As for the knights watching their jolly ramblings...
Voice: Shinobi?
Name: Jordan Heath
Age: 33
Description: A somewhat slim, yet muscular blond haired man
Occupation: Hunting ranger, knight, rank C
Weapon of choice: Bow and arrow
Threat level: C
Fact: Is a man, truly in love with his family and his beard. Hmmm... fascinating, isn't he?
The man by the name of Jordan was the one who said these words.
His very eyes narrowed with anger.

Jordan: Shinobi? But... how be it?
Jebadiah: That is not of importance now.
Jordan: Sir....
Jebadiah: Archers..
The man Jebadiah spoke, calling the men below him to action.
Jebadiah: Archers...
And they all answered him without fail.
Jordan: Sir!
And as did the other two archers...
Voice: Sir!
Name: Morrison Maelstrom
Age: 27
Description: Lean muscular man
Occupation: Ranger, hunter, knight, rank C
Weapon of choice: Bow and arrow
Threat level: C
Fact: He tries to use a sword every once in a while to impress a young maiden. Can't blame the poor chap, can you? Some maidens believe that using a bow is cowardly. Pish posh.
Voice: Sir!
Name: Gibson Maelstrom
Age: 27
Description: Lean muscular man
Occupation: Ranger, hunter, knight, rank C
Weapon of choice: Bow and arrow
Threat level: C
Fact: Is in fact the twin brother of Morrison Maelstrom. However, he is the wiser of the two. Perhaps, he does not chase foolish maidens.
All th other knights by his charge simply waited quietly, watching not their quarry, but the man who inspired them to look for the cause.
Such is the power of leadership.
Such is the power of respect.
And such was their respect for Jebadiah.
Jebadiah: Fire the marker arrows into the air. Let our brothers know of what foe is come against us.
Morrison, Jordan and Gibson: Sir!
Marker arrows?
What are those?
Hmmm...
... well... perhaps a bit of elucidation is requred.
While it is indeed true that in your, modern age, things such as communication are not so hard to grasp, it is a fact that the intricacies and thought towards simple things is not as advacned
Simply put, even this age has put a lot of thought into its very ideals.
One such being marker arrows.
Arrows shot into the sky with a flare.
The flare, having several a different meaning all and in spite of the simplicity of it all.
One such example would be the colour green, that the man by the name of Morrison Maelstrom was simply yet to fire.
Green simply elucidates danger.
That marker arrow would then be shot into the sky with a flare attached to it and then, boom. Fireworks.
And quite a beauteous firework they shall be.
Yes, indeed.
The creator of these fireworks is truly an artistic fwllow.
As for the arrow that Gibson was to fire.
Yes, of course, the communication would not have to be as simple as "danger:"
Nay.
For you, dear reader, must know that shinobi and knights simply do not get along.
And for that, Gibson would fire a red arrow.
The arrow denoting... shinobi.
Jebadiah: The rest of you, make haste and patrol the surrounding area. Leave no stone unturned, and no back unguarded.
All: Sir!
Jebadiah: Jordan, son of Heath
Jordan: Sir!
Jebadiah: Come with me!
Jordan: Sir!
Truly and truly, a pleasure it is, to fight along side a higher ranking officer.
Not only is it a status symbol, nay.
It also be a sign of how far you have come.
Truly and truly.
The other knights left in a hurry, their hearts only slightly tainted by the sight of another man being chosen.
Meanwhile, Gibson and Morrison prepared their flares, serious looks upon their eyes.
As for Jebadiah and Jordan...
Jebadiah: Let us get closer.
Jordan: Sir.
... the pair simply made their way to their quarry.
Jebadiah: We shall atack them head on!
Jordan: Sir.
Jebadiah: And with full intent to kill.
Jordan: Sir!
Mmm yes. A two on two match it would be.
However, dear reader, I do believe there is something to be said about a man who chooses to face off with an enemy while forsaking the protection of a larger group.
Truly, and truly.
A proud man he is.
And a bold one as well.
Jebadiah: However, spare one's life.
Jordan: Sir!
An obvious strategy, seeing as it makes no sense to leave both alive, if only one is needed to explain the situation around them.
A truly wise decision.
Hmmm?
Killing both is harder?
Why, dear reader, that is true.
And truly and truly it is true.
However, I say unto you, that fact only holds true when the one you are trying to kill is stronger than you.
When the opposite is true, well...
... in that regard...
Jebadiah: That one...
The one to whom he was pointing was none other than the man by the name of Derrick Hessenger.
Jordan: Understood.
Meanwhile...
Ray: I do believe this is getting quite easy.
Derrick: Yes, my brother. This battle was mere child's play.
Ray: Agreed. The knights of Vesturia are even more disorganised than I earlier anticipated.
Ah, fun.
The two young men jumped upon building after building, burning them each in hot flames coming from their hands.
Derrick: Why not a joint flame incantation? Something special to commemorate the occassion.
Ray: Why, a mighty idea indeed?
The man by the name of Ray Hessenger soon after blasted yet another house with flames.
Ray: Why not.... ah... Incantation....
Now, at this point, the men of the knight's order, going by the names Jebediah and Jordan, found themselves on top of builings, preparing to strike.
And, oh dear, the brothers in arms Hessenger... were simply too preoccupied with their "fun" to realise it.
