Chapter  5 - Madness through power

What would you do if you have the power to undo the things you did? What would happen? Will you be drunk by it? Yes i am Noah...What happen after? Yes it was simple...When  i  proved that i can mess with time. To load and undo the things i have done..i have become  something aren't i?

 I was rushing at the monsters in front of me. The gnolls that would grant me money. Due to the events i have successfully studied  every possible actions they would do. Like a giant script that is easily readable. Therefore  currently im rushing with them and battling the first gnoll.

 And when i fought with the gnoll holding throwing spears, i have found out that the mirror that appeared in the void can only be one due to my mana. If i possess more mana then i can create more save points and can branch any possibility. But amidst it i also discovered [quick save] and [quick load]. With this i can redo anything if i get injured and then reload back to completely dodge the enemy.

Overpowered? Yes i am. I wonder why they give me such power? Nonetheless with the qsave and qload and pause in my hand. I am  invincible. But adding complementary to it is the alchemy skills and combat skills of Noah. I am Noah now....YEs i am Noah.

 When i attacked i then use one of Noah's specialties....[transmutation] and [Object Creation]. With the ground beneath me i  channeled energy and manipulated  the soil and transmogrified them using the law of equivalent exchange into a shape of a  long sword. Then using my mana to conjure electricity and making the handle electric proof. I dashed towards the  gnoll throwing spears and stab at his stomach. Then channeling the conjured electricity into its stomach and sapping his organs to black,then using my right leg as a support to quickly pull out my long sword.

 Then Using [qsave]  i dashed into another gnoll which seems to be the shield bearer of the group and manipulated the long sword into a form of a hammer and then using the momentum created by my dash i use my full weight  to strike the shield of the gnoll! When my hammer made contact with the  shield, i used the conjured electricity to stunned the enemy then touching the shield and manipulating the materials inside it into growing into a spike and immediately penetrating the gnoll's stomach and lungs.

 Then using a quick sidestep then [qsave] i dodged the steelhead spear wielding gnoll and rolled back into stance. Pausing for a moment it seems that the last gnolls is protecting the gnoll with the symbol on the back for some reason. I can hear them muttering in their hyena voice....but since i don't speak hyena i would obviously not know what are they talking about.

 And it seems that these gnolls also have discovered that  i am a combat alchemist. Combat Alchemist's are one of the most strong profession in this world. Noah studied for a long time with a master and taught the ways of the  combat alchemy doctrine. Combat alchemist's are people who have been taught the ways of it since child. What make this profession or class dangerous is their power to manipulate things into their wills and their creating abilities that depends on concept and imagination. They also are particularly strong at manipulating their own mana and the man's around them. At first i thought i could use the world mana's to create more save points but it seems that since it's a 'Gift' it would need to be conjured by your own mana.

 But lets focus more on the situation right now. I killed two of the gnolls and the remaining four  is now standing  in front of me. Then quickly stepping back a bit, i took the piece of tree bark in my pocket then using the hammer i fused the two and use the hammer as the shape for the bow and the tree bark as the string for it!

 Then channeling the world mana, i conjure two energy arrows  and attach a mana thread on it then fire it straight passed them! The  gnolls quickly took even more of a defensive stance , but by then the energy arrow already hit the the ground behind them and then as  if the grounds were alive, i used the mana thread to supply and transmogrify metal binding chains and manipulated them into the three guards and conjured electricity to sapped them dead!

 The three gnolls fall simultaneously and then i saw that the gnoll with a symbol on its back was unharmed. It seems that this gnoll is no ordinary one. Then as if the gnoll vanished, i felt a chill behind my back and being alarmed i chanted  [paused] and then look back the gnoll.

 The gnoll with a symbol on its back seems like have gotten the gift of the wind. Then as  if paused scumming, i slowly move my left hand and using the energy within me, i manipulated the clothes of my tunic and the bracelet inside and transform  it into a gauntlet. Then unpausing time the gnoll hit the gauntlet,but yet i felt the bones of my left hand fracture due to the impact and strength the gnoll gave.

 Using the my energy and surging it in my left hand. I manipulated the bones and repaired the fractured points quickly.   Ten by using the  conjured chains to pull me away from the gnoll and chanted [qsave] just in case.

I quickly then enchanted my body by strengthening my tunic and then adding a manipulation for speed increase. I then dashed and attack the gnoll with a symbol on its back quickly. But due to the blessing the Gnoll have. The Gnoll dodge my attack and landed a kick at my ribs.

 Feeling my ribs ache, i thank that i added hardening towards my tunic to soften blunt damaged. Then as if interrupting my thought the  gnoll then attack with more speed and i was desperately defending its barrage of attacks. But even with me defending  the gnoll manage to scrape my body  and then using his shoulder to bash me away i landed in the waterfalls water.

 Pausing for a bit, i then saw the gnoll about the dashed. The gnoll with the symbol was tough. I need to to something. I [qload] but when i did i found myself being launch back again into the water....it seems that i have inadvertently  [qsave] in fear. And if do load back into the save point i created. Then i need to redo and kill the gnolls again.

 Then as if i was enlighten, i felt an idea struck on me....then with o hesitation, i unpaused and the world started moving again! Then with the gnoll already up in the air about to strike me. I use the  ground and bend it out of the water then using the the same ground, i transformed them into chains and binded the gnoll and pulled it into the water! Then using the energy in my, i shoot a rune marking and activated a lightning trapped! Then as if the whole water glow, i heard the sound of a hyena being electrocuted to death!

''i did it!'' as i muttered and  fell near the ground ..... then before i lost consciousness due to excessive mana use. I saw red fang symbol of the gnoll flew into the sky and emit  a silent roar......as if it was a cry for help or vengeance....

 Slowly opening my eyes i was in the state of some euphoria.... the battle and that pleasure of danger right now has left a mark on my head. I ask myself.....i was able to those things due to my [Paulum]. But was also due to the  combat effectiveness of combat alchemy.

Without them i wouldn't be able to defeat these gnolls, especially that gnoll with a the blessing of the wind.. And as if something corrodes in me i felt myself reborn..

Who am?

What am ?

What was my name before i came into this world?

  Didn't i call myself Rover in a self deprecating manner during that time in the dim rooftop? What was my name?..........Why can't i remember?

 But....the only thing that comes in my mind if the name Noah...Brendell....

 No........this is my name now.

Later on  i convince my self that me and noah is now the same......But no that wont do..

I shall not fuse with him....I shall be him!

During those times why did i  always refer as 'my noah's or ''noah's''?

No it only means that i have been stupid

The moment Noah's soul  departed i already was him...

His pride?No its NOW my  pride....hehheheheh

I am him aren't i?

So i sit......then i stand.

I walk into the heads of the monsters i killed and slash the proof i need to signify their defeat.

Then i walk and gather their equipment's.. Then using my power i compressed them into one..

Then with a glee in my face...i walk into the water. as i washed my face.

Then as if muttering and giving away the monologue like thought....... i muttered.

''Who can stop me from carving this world?'' then with a laugh at the sky as i was drunk with a new kind of emotions i have never felt before!

Wit the power to undo things.........and the power to see through everything. I can do anything.
