Volume 1: Creation of the Dream Realm

Chapter 1: Death of Shun

*Boom*

A window pane from a skyscraper shattered and the figure from the 6th floor fell from the skyscraper.

*Thud*

The figure crashed onto the ground and blood splattered everywhere near the ground.

Beams of light reflecting from skyscrapers where all heading towards the ground where a figure lay lifelessly on the stone cold road.

“Kyaa”

There were many spectators who gazed towards the young man lying dead on the concrete with shards of glasses and splashes of blood all around his body. He had an innocent smile on his face with his eyes closed, as if the god of death himself gave him a peaceful death.

Two figures suddenly appeared from the crowd. A handsome young man with dark hair and good build and, another beautiful young girl with long hair pink hair wearing school uniform which outlined her curves. Both seemed to be of the age of 16.

“Little Shun!”, a shriek came from both youths as they ran towards the dead young man on the ground. The pink haired female embraced the death youth as she let out a heart shaking cry which made the surrounding crowd miserable.

“Ryo what are you doing ?! Call the ambulance!”, the young female screamed at the young male named Wong Ryo, as he already had a cell phone in his hand trembling. Ryo already called the emergency service and went towards Shun’s side trying to use his own clothes to stop the blood loss.

Both the youths were trying to stop the blood loss. Even though the situation was hopeless they have a shard of hope. “Ming, I am going to perform CPR! Stand back”. Ryo tilted his head to used his mouth to give oxygen to Shun. He didn’t care about the mouth to mouth contact because he was going to save their decade long friend!

As Ryo was performing the CPR procedure, Ming was trying to stop the blood loss with the bandages and cloth she received from the crowd.

Moments later the sound of ambulances could be heard and the paramedics finally came. The paramedics rushed in and propped Shun onto the medical bed.

“Please stand back”, the medic told to Ryo and Ming and they backed away.

They performed treatment on site because Shun’s condition was critical and additional movement will decrease his chances.

A few moments later the medics stopped performing treatment and covered Shun’s body with a white cloth.

“Shun!”, exclaimed Ming as she was trying to rush forward but Ryo held on to her wrist.

“Ming… Shun is dead.” Ryo helplessly said as his eyes turned misty.

“Wuuu….”, Ming cried as she burrowed her head on Ryo’s chest. Ryo hugged her and tried comforting her.

He saw a familiar figure from the crowd, and unexplainable rage erupted from heart. He let go of of Ming and charged towards the figure.

“You Bastard!”, Ryo let out a howl as he raised his hand and went to strike the devilish looking youth wearing expensive clothing who looked a bit older than Ryo.

The youth snorted and dodged Ryo. Ryo went mad as he tried to strike the youth but it was futile as the youth kept dodging.

Moments later the security guards arrived the restrained Ryo.

“Zhong Li, I won’t forgive you!”, bellowed Ryo. His voice was filled with bitterness and disgust.

“What are you talking about senior Ryo?! Now is not the time for this foolishness what happened to my little brother! ”, Li acted as he was heartbroken but traces of his smirk can be seen on his face.

“You bastard! He is your own brother, how could you do this to him ?!”, Ming shouted as Li as she wiped her tears from her reddened face. “You hired a gang to kill your brother! Why?!”, shouted Ming loud enough so the crowd can hear.

“How dare you accuse big brother Li !”, a voice of a female youth emerged from the crowd. She was a little girl seemingly age of 14, wearing a flower dress and a hat to shade from the sun.

“Zhong Mei! You too ?! How could you do this to Shun!”, Ming trembled with erupting anger.

“What are you talking about?”, Mei acted confused as she didn’t have a clue what was going on.

“You …!!!”, Ming was furious to the point where she was about to smack the little girl in front her but stopped herself because the police came.

“Everyone step away from the crime scene”, the police officer announced with an authoritative tone.

Several hours passed the the police conducted investigations, but sadly they couldn’t find any clues and concluded that the victim committed suicide.

“Big brother Li, this was too easy! Now the family business is all yours!”, Mei spoke in a soft voice so it is inaudible to other people.

“Thank you little Mei, now that the trash is gone I can control the business father and mother left behind for that trash!”, Li replied coldly as he stared as Ryo and Ming at the distance weeping near the spot where Shun died.

“Big brother, they won’t cause problems right? Do we need to take care of them as well?”, Mei’s killing intent emerged which also shook Li.

Li patted Mei’s head as he replied, “Trash’s friend are also trash. What can they do without any evidence? Don’t worry little Mei we don’t need to dirty our hand with them” as he start at Ryo and Ming’s direction.

“Then let’s leave big brother. No need to waste our time with Shun anymore.”, Mei smiled coldly as she stared at the dead Shun.

“Right”, Li nodded his head as he left the crowd with Mei.

…

“Ryo … we have to avenge Shun. We have to!”, Ming said quietly to Ryo as her eyes turned misty.

“I was going to avenge Shun regardless of what you said”, Ryo replied coldly. “When I finish my studies and when I become powerful, I will suppress that bastard’s and bitch’s so called family business. I will make sure they live painfully and drive them to the streets till the point where they will beg from my mercy”.

Shun was Ryo’s and Ming’s classmates since kindergarten. They spent over a decade together as sworn friends and Shun was like a family to them.

Ryo and Ming started to develop feelings towards each other but didn’t let Shun know so they could stay close to each other and avoid awkwardness.

When they were 15 Ryo and Ming started dating each other Shun found out but, they still wanted to accompany Shun and not leave him alone. However, Shun felt as if he was intruding his best friend’s business so he started to avoid Ryo and Ming to give them some alone time.

However, Shun was all alone trying to manage his family’s business and dealing with his siblings fierceness.

Ryo and Ming felt guilt because they couldn’t get on time to shoulder Shun’s burden. They were clueless of the hardships Shun was facing alone. They couldn’t get in time to save their precious friend worth everything to them.

Ryo who normally is strong hearted wept uncontrollably as he started to remember the face the handsome Shun who was like his brother in this life.

“Gods! Why did you do this?! Where is the justice and equality in this world? You say this world you created is beautiful? This world is SHIT! FILTH!”, Ryo stared at the sky while cursing at it.

“Ming!”, Ryo bellowed “I swear as long as I don’t avenge Shun, I have no right to stay with you. From today onwards I shall break our relations as lovers.”

Ming sat quietly cry as she was washing her face with tears. This day was she lost two things, Shun and Ryo’s love. However, she didn’t reply since she also felt unexplainable guilt building in her heart.

Ming felt that she also had to avenge Shun for the injustice he faced.

The sky darkened and the rain fell. The whole world darkened as Shun lifelessly lay on the medical bed.
