I walked inside my house and just ran towards the room where my mum is giving birth to and when I got close enough I saw father waiting there with a worried face… this is the first time I saw him worried

“Father!” I said as I ran towards him and he opens his arms to hug me

I hugged him and he hugged me back and said “Your mother is giving birth to your younger brother or sister ”

I break the hug and looked at him with an innocent smile “Don't worry dad she will be alright”

My father couldn't say anything and just smiled at my innocent smile and said “I hope… both your younger brother or sister and your mother be okay”

I nodded and before I could say anything female doctor opened the door and walked outside and said “Congratulations she gave birth to a beautiful healthy girl”

Father and I looked at each other and dashed towards mum and my newborn sister

I looked at my tired mother holding my little sister but my instinct just made me hug my mother and newborn sister with tears in my eyes

“I am so happy you both survived!” I said as tears fall from my eyes

My mother and father looked at each other before giggling and patting me

“This is the first time he cried after his birth… for the first time we can see him act like an adorable baby” My father said with a teasing voice tone

I sniffed and broke the hug and wiped my tears away “'Kay 'Kay… for this first and last time you will see me crying though…” I said with a smile

My father patted me and said, “Crying doesn't mean you are weak, just remember that okay?”

I didn't say anything and just nodded then finally our attention gets back to my little cute sister as she started crying

I looked at her and poke her cheeks and surprisingly she stopped crying and smiled innocently at this sight, my mum said “She likes you” with a gentle smile

I couldn't express my feeling about that innocent smile but just smile back

My father smiled at this sight and hugged all of us together “Kiddo just remember being a brother also brings great responsibility so… you gotta protect your little sister”

I smiled brightly and said “I will protect her and everyone who I love no matter what”
