1.2 Is this really my fate ?

In my hand at that time was the thing that I lost a long time ago but I couldn’t believe that my sister have kept it all time time. Even though the book that time now was old, I could not find any dust on it, she really keeps it carefully. Looking at it, all the memories not only about our grandfather , the one who had given this book to us, but also ourselves, everything is in this book.

Although , that is a cheap book with a story which can see any other books but we don’t know why when we  read this one , we can clearly imagine the view of that world like it really appears in front of our eyes , that is the only thing other books can’t do. This book contains our feelings, memories and it’s the link which has sticked us together since we were young.

“Oh my god ! This is the thing that I need”

I shouted like a boy who just find the way not to be rebuked from his parents because of the big zero he just got in his final test.This thing is really important, we have been together for a long time but I cannot believe that I totally forgot about it.Hurriedly, I took everything I need and definitely the book too and “run like a wind” to the hospital.

*Knock* *Knock*

I knocked the door but at that time no one answered, so I opened the door. When I got in, there was a little girl with dark and long to shoulder hair sitting on the bed likes a doll, yes, that was my sister, her eyes were empty like she wasn’t alive anymore as the same the day she went to the hospital.

“Tada ! Look what I found! The book we loved to read when we were young”

My voice didn’t reach to her but I didn’t look forward to it, the thing that I bet everything I got is the book. At the time I showed it, her body  reacted to the the old book that was appearing in front of my sister’s eyes then I opened and started reading it with my little sister like the old days.

The story about a world that the links and trust doesn’t exist in it, even the Devil King always does everything he want, attacking, destroying, stealing and killing but there is still nothing calls “Together” to stop the Devil King, the clear meaning is “It’s a dog-eat-dog world”. Until I finished reading the book, the outside was dark, my sister’s eyes was still empty but I could feel that her heart have already beated again. I put down the book on the table which is under the school uniform hooking up on the wall next to the bed and left.

In the next morning, I went to the hospital again to meet my sister, I hoped she was better. Along the road to room 299, I saw the nurse that was taking care of my sister, Rena-san,by the way, I would like to say hello to her because she helped us all the time.

“Good morning, Rena-san”

I greeted her with a smile on my face, with me, Rena-san is an ideal girl and she’s also hot, she always listens to our worries and troubles, helps each other even she is busy, if the accident didn’t happen, I would definitely marry her.

“Good morning, sir … is this your first time here? Meeting someone? Do you need help ?”

“Haha! Are you kidding me? Of course, I am going to meet my sister in room 299 over there”

“Room 299… room 299, that room doesn’t have anyone”

The sentence she just said like a joke but I feel like she doesn’t lie, Rena who I know is really bad at making joke.

“Are you kidd..ing me, Rena-san?”

What is this feeling? It push me as fast as it can to the room 299, the room my sister have stayed there for 3 weeks. I opened the door forcefully with the hope to see the image of  my sister and to stop this joke but the girl ,who need to be there now, was disappeared with her uniform, the only thing didn’t disappear was the book I put on the table yesterday.

“I told you so! There has no one here for three weeks”

“3 week ?”

“I’m sure that this room has been empty for three week”

After that, I asked Rena to look for the information of my sister in the medical records, I also asked anyone I know if they had met her but the answer is … Nothing. No one, no photo, no memories, everything related to my sister disappeared in this world like she didn’t exist from the beginning.

Desperation, totally hopeless, I lost my family, the link with my sister and my Rena, the only I got is a book. And now, I am sitting here lonely, looking at the city where I was born and raised. I stand up and start moving, every steps is a memory about my sister, those memories keep appearing in my mind and “then”

“Unfortunately, I can not born in that wonderful world in this life ! But I really happy because I can meet you , Onii-chan ! If there is a wish , I wish we could meet each other and explore that world together.”

“Uhm!”

My last memory, a promise with my sister when we were young is the last step of mine.
