A great white and burgundy red ship slowly wades it way through the seemingly calm blue ocean. The bright blue skies filled the passengers with ease as they await their destination. The Ship itself was one of great size, built with wood from the Great Elmyarr Forests, Those elves won't miss it anyways. The ship was commissioned by Lady Calia the Fourth of her name and one day fated to rule the throne of the great kingdom of Emblud if her first born brother Faras mysteriously dies. She forbids something like that from happening, oh perish the thought! That why she been personally preparing his meals and accompanying him on his dangerous trips. For his safety of course. They both was on this ship, Prince Faras gazed at the ocean with a wistful expression as Lady Calia playfully pushed him from time to time.
The Ship was known across the fractured and varied lands as the S.S We come up with a name later. (Official title as written on the paper by Lady Calia the forth of her name and sometimes procrastinator.)
On this ship, There were all types of beings. Few of them had animals qualities, one was a lizard\man hybrid with a talking bulldog who was taking a trip to find himself after fighting a very powerful woman trained in martial arts. A woman with long beautiful brown hair watches the calm ocean and took a sip of a potent cocktail named the Fantastic Blackout, it calmed her nerves and she smiles. The calm woman in question wore a white long sleeve shirt and combat pants of the same color but they never get stained much to the bafflement of her other companion. There was a belt that contained her weapon of choice in a sheath. Her friend tried to get her to switch out to some more casual wear.
"No." The brown haired woman said as she saw the light blue skirt and white bikini that her friend picked out for her. Her friend have long curly blonde and pink hair, her skin a deep and rich brown, she herself wore a hot pink-colored blouse and skirt with black thigh-highs.
"Oh come now Marianna! Surely you can afford to let loose for one day?"
The brown haired woman named Marianna scoffed at the sheer absurdity of this idea.
"Relax? When every place we go to we get dragged into some ridiculous adventure or quest that involves the use of violence and or hijinks to solve it?" Marianna asked of the Runaway Princess that stood before her.
"I mean it have gotten pretty gratuitous, I will not lie and downplayed the situation to you as you are my best friend."
"I am your only friend Elsaulza." Marianna told the Princess, she noticed her expression changed from one of happiness to bitterness.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
"As of right now! You can make more." Marianna hastily told the Princess, while the crestfallen expression had gone away, Marianna noticed her smile never returned to the size it was previously. She couldn't understand why she didn't like hurting the Princess's feelings.
In times like these she wished she was more like her mother, she misses her brutal honesty and ruthless efficiency. But as she stared at Elsaulza's smile she couldn't help but noticed that the smile didn't reach her eyes. It bothered her immensely.
"Have i gone softer?" Marianna mused to herself.
Marianna couldn't afford to think about that right now, she just wanted to enjoy the peace for as long as she was able too.
Elsaulza took a mental picture of Marianna smiling and cherished it, how often did she get to see her friend relax?
Marianna sipped more of her drink, apparently this was created by a Goddess of Wine and was said to be extremely dangerous to drink, hence the waiver she had to sign to even purchase the drink. And yet the drink comprised of Absinthe that could destroy your liver and fermented apples and the like had no effects on the woman.
"Thank the light for the genetic breeding experiment." Marianna thought in her head before chuckling to herself for how casual that sounded in her head. She sighed and look towards the now dark red clouds.
"...of course." Marianna said under her breath.
Elsauza took note of the now dark red clouds that now suffocated the once light blue skies. The winds sifted from the once calm breeze to a sudden stillness that was impossible to ignore.
"Hey I'm going inside. You wanna stay out here?" The Bulldog asked with a gruff voice.
"Yessss. I would enjoy it immensely if i could ssstay outssside. Please don't worry about me." The lizardman said to his bulldog companion who nodded and head indoors to relax.
The blonde Princess slowly mused to herself about how rainy days was her favorite. How calming it was, how she could her body relax with ease as the drowsiness set in and she would just lay on the plush velvet bed she used to have and just let her daydreams run wild. Those were the days, the days of peace, the days where she was so blissfully unaware. Just her and the heavy rain outside washing away the world.
"Heavy rain and thunder...thunder..." Elsaulza thought to herself before cutting off that train of thought from taking her to the past.
"Marianna we should go inside." Elsaulza told the empty spot where the heiress once occupied.
She looks over to see Marianna waiting patiently by the door.
"Are you coming or not?" Marianna asked, her eyebrow raised quizally.
The Princess smiled wide as she ran over to Marianna, she would have leapt and hug the Heiress it wasn't for the golden spear that pierced the floor between them.
"Oh that not pleasant." Elsaulza commented fearfully as she expertly dodged another golden spear that was aimed for her.
Two figures came emerging from the red clouds like angels upon the accursed hell scape. Elsaulza knew who those two was.
"Oh that even more unpleasant." The runaway Princess said to herself now sweating.
