One day or night came. Always hard to tell when. The three of us went over to the tavern to eat. I was finished with my shift and went over to The Lucky Oister. Viking was already there drinking away and fidgeting. I sat down and ordered a simple meal.
Meanwhile, Hornet was just about done with her shift. She was let off and began walking towards the tavern for some much needed relaxation. As she walked away, in the corner of her eye, she could have sworn seeing something move. She looked to her side and saw a dark alleyway. The burns left their scars both inside and out. Her eyes weren't as they used to be. She still thought that there was something moving in there. She had to squint. There seemed to be a man lying in wait.

He was cloaked, and hid his face with a knight's helmet. But there was something else. The man took off his visor for a second for Hornet to see.
And as soon as she realized who she saw, she gasped in surprise as if she saw a ghost. But without any time to think or react, the blunt end of an old knife collided with Hornet's head. She fell unconscious and was dragged off into the shadows. Her electric crossbow and the dull knife left intentionally behind.
