Chapter 3: Meeting with the Goddess

Jing Feng’s eyes slowly open up.

Weakly looking up, Jing Feng is shocked to see the view in front of him.

In front of Jing Feng’s eyes is a beautiful goddess floating above ground.

She is like a celestial nymph.

Her blue hair that reaches her knees falls perfectly without her trying.

Author’s note: sorry couldn’t help myself.

Her aura protrudes a majestic feeling that would make one feel the need to kneel in front of her.

Her face is perfect in all aspect.

It was a perfection that feels like looking at it would burns the eye sockets of any man.

Her bouncy body and perky bosom wrapped around ancient garment would shake the core of any man.

However the cool and prideful look that she gives along with her majestic feeling would feel one feel like they have met a perfect empress.

However, Jing Feng is still only 11 years old and has yet to develop attraction towards the opposite sex.

“Who are… Cough.. Hack!” cried Jing Feng. His throat can barely makes up the words he is trying to convey.

Jing Feng is trying hard not to faint from the blood loss and the pain from being tortured alive.

“Child, don’t speak…” said the goddess in a cold but light tone.

Soon the goddess begins to chant some words.

The Goddess of Rain commands the water spirits: Water Cure

From Jing Feng’s various meridians, the water spirits begins to gather water and collect towards these areas.

Then the water spirits begins to send qi to various networks of his body, activating his body’s natural recovery.

Warm light envelops Jing Feng’s body and cover every inch of his body. His bones begins to construct and reform. The damage in his tissues begins to connect.

Soon the visible wounds begin to glow under the mysterious light and become normal healthy-looking skin tissue.

Such a feeling has caused Jing Feng to lose consciousness as it felt that he is being covered in the comfort of his mother’s embrace.

Now, not even a visible scar can be seen upon Jing Feng’s body. His face shows a better complexion, however, it still pales from the pain he experienced just moments ago.

“Oh you poor, poor child. Let me break these chains that bound you” said the goddess.

Oh benevolent water spirits, cut thy obstacle: Water Scythe

Swish! Swish! Clang!

The chains that bound Jing Feng was cut to smithereens.

Jing Feng fell face down in front of the goddess along with the chains that bound him.

PENG!

The guards were alarmed by the noise.

“Who goes there!?” Shouted the red-eyed guard.

“Fuck! Someone’s escaping!” Shouted another guard with black horns protruding in his head.

The guards began running towards the noise. However shocked was seen in their eyes.

A bright glow began to condense in the direction of Jing Feng’s prison cell.

“HUMPH! Such an unruly bunch. Let’s go somewhere a little more quiet shall we?” sneered the goddess.

The goddess touched Jing Feng’s back and chant a few words.

Domain of the water have cease to contain the mighty power of the rain: Water Teleporation!

Soon a blinding light covers Jing Feng’s cell.

Together the goddess and Jing Feng left.

The guard with a fierce glow in his eyes checked the cell that contained Jing Feng.

He saw that there was no one there.

“Someone escaped! Ring the alarm!” cried the red-eye man.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

“Fuck! Where did he go?!” shouted the man with the black horns.

***Near the Palace of Aquabless***

A beautiful and majestic azure temple stands near a forest. The temple looks grand and is covered in lush greenery and small animals.

Rabbits, foxes, and deers can be seen running around the forest nearby.

Outside the perimeter of the temple, thick rain can be seen as if trying to cover the majestic place.

Snow should encompass the place since this is located near the very north so such a sight should be impossible.

Inside the temple lies a multitude of rooms.

In one of the room lies Jing Feng sleeping on a bed.

Near the bed, a goddess can be seen with blue hair with a calm, but cold demeanor. Her icy look seems frigid, however one can see underneath that there is a glimmer of warmth under that cold expression.

“Ugh... uhhhh…” Jing Feng is restlessly moving in his bed seeming as if he is having a bad dream. His breathing is hoarse and his face tightens.

“Mother… Father… why do you abandon me?” muttered Jing Feng.

The goddess lifts up her hand and places her palm onto Jing Feng’s forehead.

Soon Jing Feng’s complexion became better and his facial expressions calm down.

Moments later, Jing Feng’s eyes slowly open.

A blurry sight fills his eyes. Soon his eyes focus and he stares at the ceiling.

Amazement is seen in his eyes as he open them wide as he stares at the blue ceiling because it is ornamented by sapphire and blue crystals.

“Where... am... I?” said Jing Feng in a quiet voice.

“You are in my temple.” said the goddess in a cold and detached voice.

“!!!” Jing Feng jumped in shock.

“Did you… save me?” asked Jing Feng warily.

“Yes. I did.”

“...Why?”

“Because when I look at you, it reminds me of h-... nevermind. You possess a pure soul, that is rare. I was attracted to your spirit”

“But I am a cripple…? I don’t have any spirit…”

“Silly child. Who cares if your dantian is broken. That can be easily fixed. That doesn’t have anything to do with spirits. Spirit is an ethereal form only accessible through a specific method. Most people have different shapes in spirit. However, your spirit is a rare form of divine spirit.”

“Did you say… that my dantians can be fixed?” asked Jing Feng with a gleam in his eyes as if forgetting the fact that the goddess mentioned that his spirit was a divine spirit.

“Of course, fixing a broken dantian is child’s play for me. However that is not what it truly important, child you have a divine spirit of the Water Dragon”

“...divine spirit of the Water Dragon?”

“Yes the divine spirit of the Water Dragon. It is rare form of spirit that house the gentlest and purest of souls. I can heal your dantian, however, you must make an exchange with me”

“An exchange?”

“Yes, an exchange. You must face a trial. I have been searching for one of the dragon divine spirits of water. It is accepting an ancient pact that governs an ancient covenant!”

“Dragon divine spirits?”

“Other than you there are 8 other dragons spirits. These spirits are various dragon diving spirit elements: air, fire, earth, dark, light, metal, nature, and space. You must find eight other companions and venture to defeat the Grimms”

Jing Feng clenched his fists. He did not understood the gravity of the goddess’ words at the moment, however, he knew that the goddess would be able to change his fate of being a cripple.

“I don’t want to be a cripple anymore!” shouted Jing Feng.

“Sigh…” the goddess knew that Jing Feng did not take her words to heart. However she understood that an 11 years old boy that has been left alone by his peers and family does not know much about the world.

“You shall become my disciple for now until you can venture on your own” said the goddess in a calm manner.

“Yes!” cried Jing Feng.

“Now let’s take care of your dantian.”
