Aurora City is a sprawling, high-tech metropolis with towering skyscrapers and modern architecture.

Looking around you could see various gardens and sky bridges that connect various places.

On the street you can see multiple people going on about their day, either coming home from school or going to or from work.

Walking down the street was a young man who had a scowl on his face.

The young man seemed lost in his thoughts while looking at the various people around him including the families.

He sometimes stopped to watch families and their children with a hint of solemnness.

“If only life could always be like that”

Speeding up his steps he made his way to the local store in order to buy something to eat.

“I’ll get something easy to eat”

He grabbed a bar of chocolate and a random juice paid for them and left the store.

After leaving he resumes his walk down the street eating his chocolates.

“This World is messed up, the weak and innocent are killed and the strong survive”

He looks around once more and the population of Aurora

“This happiness can easily be destroyed, just like mine was”

His hands begin to head up due to the fluctuation of his emotions.

“Calm down, in time you will get rid of the cause, you will destroy the Kōsō”

The young man cools down and reaffirms himself on what he must do, or what he will do making his goal known.

“These people, they have no understanding of what goes on in the dark, to them all of the random incidents have been from natural disasters”

In reality, all of the towns, cities, and families that have been killed or destroyed have been from Kōsō.

In this day and age, most humans are not able to harness Reiki and, therefore are not able to see the Kōsō.

Suddenly someone ran up behind the young man and playfully smacked them on the back.

Turning around he saw his best friend, whom he grew up with, which brought a small smile to his face.

“What are you doing out here all alone, and with that dejected face”

She places a hand on her hip looking for answers

“Hn, I was just walking around, to clear my head some”

“If you wanna clear your head why dont we have a spar then”

“Don’t Wanna”

“You don’t have a choice come one”

Grabbing his arm the young woman dragged him to an open field on the outskirts of the city.

“Why do we have to spar again?”

“To cheer you up, you’ve been depressed since we ran into that guy”

Upon hearing those words he looked down his hair covering his eyes remembering the incident with the powerful opponent.

To him, it felt like it happened just yesterday, but in actuality, it's been a little over a week.

“Fine, so be it, it would be good to take my mind off of that incident”

“Thats what I wanted to hear let's go”

Crackle

Instantly she was in front of him her fists covered in flames as she launched a devastating punch.

Swiftly dodging he jumped back to get some distance before releasing a giant ball of fire in her direction.

“Not good enough”

She grabbed the ball of flames with her bare hands before starting to absorb the flames into her body.

After absorbing the flames the air around them started to heat up as the plants and stress started to dry and wither.

Once done absorbing the flames she manipulates the flames around her feet propelling her forward at high speeds spinning mid-air ready to deliver an axe kick.

With a thought, he generated a shield of flames around him to protect him from the oncoming attack.

The shield barely withstood the attack as it began to give way

Seeing this he made a quick move he released a burst of flames from his body, the force of the release pushed her back but the flames did not harm them.

With great reflex, she contorts her body in the air before landing on her feet with grace.

“Not bad, but I can tell you have been slacking on your training”

His eye twitches, he knows that she is correct but he does not want to admit that he is somewhat scared after the overwhelming defeat at the hands of someone far more powerful than they are.

“Thats none of your business”

“Like hell, it’s not. We’re friends and friends help each other out”

Coating her hands in flames once again

“So either we do this the easy way or I just beat your ass, your choice”

His answer was met with a flaming fist to the face that almost broke his nose causing it to bleed some.

“Im not going to hold back, so you better not as well”

She goes on the offense again, sending a barrage of punches aiming for his chest, ribs, and face

He dodges them just barely before jumping back a few feet and pulling out his scythe. He swings it in an arc sending out a slash of fire.

She jumps to the side twirling in the air generating intense flames on her leg before taking off and cracking the ground beneath her.

She kicks him in the side almost breaking his ribs, but her leg is instantly grabbed and she is slammed into the ground before being tossed to the side.

“Ow, that really hurt you know”

She uses her fire to heal herself fully recovering.

‘Of course, she has that power as well, I forgot about it. Just what can't she do with her flames’

“Don’t get comfy just cause you landed and attack, im going to go even faster now”

She takes off propelling herself with her flames even faster than before becoming a blur to the naked eye.

“If you want to play like that so can I”

He creates a vortex of flames around him, the flames of the vortex lash out burning everything it touches.

She deftly evades the vortex as she gets closer and closer to him and just as she is about to strike she is encased in a box of flames.

“Gotcha looks like it's my win”

Before he could blink or celebrate his win the barrier explodes as lava erupts from it.

“Looks like it's who’s win?”

She looks at him taunting him as if wishing he would say something.

“Hn”

He looks away annoyed that she was able to escape.

All the while they were sparing both of them did not feel the presence of another being watching over them from a distance.

A mysterious person with a blindfold on.

It was as if they were assessing the two's strengths, sizing them up.

“My those two have really grown since the last time I saw them. How long has it been 4 years, 6 years”

It seemed as if the woman knew both of them but was that a good or bad thing?

“Maybe I should go and give them a visit, besides I was already supposed to meet up with them soon”

While the two are standing off waiting for the other to make a move she appears in front of them.

“Who are you”

“How did you get here”

Both ask getting into defensive stances ready for an attack.

Instead of responding the woman in a split second strikes both of them in the chest sending them flying before crashing onto the ground.

Sanding up the two of them dust themselves off before charging in covering their fists in flames and launching a barrage of punches from both sides.

*Swish*

The woman easily evades the strikes before tapping both of their shoulders, dislocating them, and causing both to cry in pain.

“Don’t tell me this is as strong as the two of you have gotten, im quite disappointed”

“What do you mean”

“Yea, who even are you”

“To think you both have forgotten who I am, that is quite saddening”

Suddenly something clicks inside their heads as they remember who the woman was but just as quickly as it clicked, both were sent flying once again crashing into a tree.

“I think I know who she is”

“Same, and this is not going to end pretty is it”

This woman, whose name was Aeloria, was the teacher of the two, the one who took them under their wing and taught them how to use their powers.

“It’s wonderful to see the two of you, Blaze, and Scarlett where is Lyria”

“Sister is at home”

“Well I think I'll go pay her a visit as well and see how her training is coming along”

Aeloria vanishes as quickly as she came, in search of Lyria

“Do you think she will find her”

“Of course, she will find sis, there is nowhere to hide from her in general”

Aeloria appears above Blaze and Lyria’s house before landing and knocking on the door.

After a few seconds, the door opens showing Lyria in a Red T and some pants. Her eyes widen in shock once she sees the person at the door.

“Sensei what are you doing here”

“It's good to see that someone remembers me, thats why you’re my fav”

Aeloria pulls Lyria into a tight hug

“Brother is not home and Scarlett is out as well”

“Thats fine, ive already run into them before I came here, and I must say the two of them have grown, just don’t tell them I said that”

“So why are you here Sensei, ever since the incident, a few years ago, we went off on our own”

“Ha, let's just say that the Seirei Society wants you all back, mainly because of Blaze, they ran a few samples of his DNA and found traces of Nexus DNA mixed in”

“Nexus DNA what do you mean Sensei”

“What I mean is that Blaze is not an ordinary person he is a hybrid, part Kōsō”

“How can that be, mother and father were both human, so that should not be possible”

“Whether is possible or not or how exactly it happened the Society wants him back, pretty much putting him under their control, they fear the power he could wield”

“He is not going to like this one bit once he hears. But what happens when we go back?”

“You three will be placed on a team, and start at the lowest ranks, even tho you are all quite powerful. And from then on you will be tasked with taking down Kōsō when they appear”

“So our movements will be controlled, Blaze will not like that one bit, it's one of the reasons he left. Who will be our leader”

“That would be none other than me lol, once I heard them trying to bring you back I knew I had to be your leader and under my protection and you can pretty much take any mission you want”

“Are you sure you would not get into trouble by doing them”

“Trouble, ive gotten into a whole lot of trouble, besides they need me without me, they would fall to the Kōsō and they know it”

“You really are a hand full arent you sensei and that comes with how powerful you are”

Suddenly while they are speaking both get a strange feeling, a feeling of danger, and that feeling is coming from somewhere close.

“This feeling it’s Blaze and Scarlet there in trouble”

Lyria takes off flying in the direction her brother and close friend are in

“It seems like a powerful Kōsō has shown its face. It must have sensed the one inside of Blaze, if its power was to continue to grow it would pose quite a challenge to even me”

In a remote area, Blaze and Scarlett faced off with the Kōsō. This Nexus Was humanoid with short and neatly kept, dark brown hair and deep blue eyes. It wore a fitted, dark grey t-shirt that highlights their athletic build without being too tight. Over this, they often sport a casual, black zip-up hoodie made of a soft, breathable material.

It also wore well-fitted, dark denim jeans with a sturdy, brown leather belt with a simple, metallic buckle. Their footwear consists of sleek, black leather sneakers that offer both comfort and traction along with this they wore a wristwatch.

“Who is this guy and why can’t I use my powers”

Scarlett tries to cover her fists with flames but every time she tried it failed.

“Just give up our powers won’t work for some reason, just means we will have to do hand-to-hand nothing too bad”

*Twitch*

“Nothing too bad, without our powers were weaker”

Scarlett’s eye twitches

“Eh I think we can still win, we'll just have to work around it”

Quite some distance away was Lyria flying at high speed to make it in time to help her brother and Scarlett and behind her was Aeloria who had a serine look on her face as if this was nothing to worry about.

“I have to make it in time”

Will she make it in time, and who is this powerful being that stands before Blaze and Scarlett
