Rise of the Magictech Hero
C0 - Gordon Miller

C0 - Gordon Miller

"Class's over, make to do your homework on Monday, especially you Gordon."

"I understood, Teacher."

The students shoved the chair under their table and walked out of the classroom with their bags. It was a boring day at school, and to be honest, it was a bit pointless for him to still go to school, at least when it comes to making money. But, some form of basic knowledge was still needed, so he went anyway, and it was kinda fun.

Gordon walked out into the hallway. It was filled with students walking around with friends, talking and laughing loudly like they own the place. The hall was drown in chatter, but it wasn't so bad.

Eventually, he made it outside. It was a sunny day, so it he could take the long way home on his bicycle, partly for exercise and partly because he kinda enjoy it.

As he was just about to look for his bike, his phone rang.

"What's up John?"

"The product you recommended was a win! We've sold over 80 on just the first day!"

"Nice, how much did we make?"

"About $1,200 in revenue."

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

"Oh yeah, there's something I want you to look into. It was a computer mouse that could be a killer as well."

Gordon told John about the computer mouse he found on his supplier's list that could sell quite well. It wasn't anything flashy like those glowing gaming mouse or something, but it was good enough that it'd probably sell.

As he was standing there, It hit him that he was living his dream. He grew up poor, worked hard, and now owned a small online marketing business, mostly dealing with marketing products to people for market price. And he did it while he was still in school!

What's important was that he learned and will probably do better than most after he graduate from high school. Earning about $2,200 in net profit wasn't much, but for someone 17 years old, it was a lot.

And he started at around 12 years old, and so far he had about $7,000 in his bank and that was the money he made on his own, or at least with his partner John.

Gordon went home on his bicycle and hoped that things will remain smoothly from now on. He didn't want to experience the things he did during his childhood ever again.

When he reached home, he turned on his computer and launched a game he often played. It was his off day after all, so he could enjoy for at least for today.

While Gordon was waiting for the game to launch, he felt a sudden chill down his spine. Looking around, Gordon saw nothing. He thought it could've been a cockroach or something... No, it was something much worse than that.

It was then suddenly, a portal appeared out of nowhere and sucked him in.

The pitch black void consumed his entire vision.
