In a world where Magic have existed since its creation, a world named Fernia. In this world lies the vast and only continent of Esthia. As a variety of races lives on it. The most noticeable out of all of them are the Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Beastmen and Demons. Every single one of them formed groups and communities. The Humans settled at the Western part of Esthia, East of it, is the largest forest in the entire continent, the place where the Elves lives in while the Dwarves occupied its mountainous regions. In the South is where the Demons reside while the Beastmen rules the North, this places was later known as the Northern Continent, Eastern Continent, Western Continent and Southern Continent while in the middle of this Four Continents and also the largest land out of the four is the place where the minority lives in, some build villages and others ruled mountains, plains, forest and swamps, this place was later known as the Lands of Despair and its inhabitants were then called monsters. While the inhabitants of the Four Continents started to develop and learned more about Magic, they also started expanding throughout the lands as their population grew bigger as time passed on. Everyone of this race was ruled only by a single family when they united their people except for one, it was the Humans, as most of them are divided in groups with a leading family that leads them. The leaders of this groups had their own lands as their territory as they borded each other but because of this the leaders started eyeing for it until it sparked the very first war in the history of Esthia and this people only had a single goal…Land Expansion! The leaders was blinded by their greed for more lands to rule, as they send thousands upon thousands of people to their deaths.
This war lasted for 7 years and as the remaining leaders was forced to stop when they realized that their population became thinner that some of them had even signs of rebellion, because of it all leaders signed an agreement to finally end this war. This Leaders then crowned themselves as Kings of their lands and their family was then called Royalty. Finally, the Western Continent had 12 Kingdoms built on it. This event was later knowned as the First Human War.
After this event, peace was finally regained in the Western Continent and these peace lasted for only a thousand of years before hordes of monsters started coming out from the Lands Of Despair, they started pillaging villages, raiding towns and attacking cities of every Kingdom in the entire Esthia leaving behind destruction in their wake, even the Elves and Dwarves who lives in places considered as natural fortresses wasn’t spared from it. All the Kings and Queens finally moved their armies to fight off the horde of monsters and pushed them back to their lands. The monster horde were mostly consisted of weak monsters like Goblins, Orcs, Kobolds, Ogres, Packs of Wolves and Lizardmen while the strongest being only Wyverns and groups of aerial type monsters. Even though they are mostly consisted of weak monsters, they are but numerous in numbers especially the goblins and orcs.
In these war between the monsters, most battles always ends in a one-sided defeat, like the Beastmen as they would take advantage of their powerful physical abilities in their battles as they wreck havoc on the horde especially that they are mostly made up of weak monsters while there are also some of the Beastmen who could use magic like the Fox people, the Demons aren’t that much different from the Beastmen, as they would massacre the monsters through magic from a distance before they could reach them as they are more adept in the usage of magic and a frontal confrontation if they manage to reach them because of this the monsters were to flee to their lands, even then the Demons and Beastmen would still have some casualties between hundreds or thousands. They are also the first one’s to make the monsters retreat to their lands. Both Elves and Dwarves didn’t had much of a hard time in dealing their battles as they still have terrain advantages, the Elves would unleashed a rain of arrows and magics onto the horde of monsters and the only one they had a hard time dealing with are the aerial type monsters as they would swoop down on them as they let go of them mid flight killing them in the process. The Dwarves used the terrain around them to their advantaged by using crossbows to deal the monsters climbing up the mountains while they used ballista to deal with the aerial monsters. The only ones who had the hard dealing with the monsters are the humans even though all the Human Kingdoms united against the monster horde, at first they started gaining ground as they slowly pushed back the monsters back to their lands but not until the Wyverns and aerial monsters joined the battle. When those monsters finally appeared, the humans for the very first time started losing their ground, more and more people started dying one after the other not until powerful warriors and mages slowly started coming out one after another and there’s 12 of them as they represent their own respective kingdoms, with these people taking the lead in battle, changed started, as they crushed the monsters with their every confrontation, the only reason is because of these 12 people, as those warriors uses their powerful battle skills on wreacking havoc in the battlefield while the mages would cast AOE spells that would kill thousands upon thousands of monsters. As these 12 people was later known as the 12 Divine Heroes but the truth is that these 12 Heroes are actually the respective Kings of their Kingdoms.

And after 4 years of bitter fighting the monster horde was finally defeated and retreated back to their homelands and peace was finally regained in the entire continent of Esthia. It would have ended faster if weren’t for some of the monsters who could use magic. This event was then known as the War of the Races.
The peace lasted for another 10,000 years until one day the Demon Emperor wanted to conquer the entire Continent.
But it will be another story for another time.
