Goblins are weak creatures that shouldn't be underestimated, Why you ask? Because they kill adventurers without mercy, You see, They may be weak but in numbers they're overwhelming and they also have shamans, mostly because of shamans. But if you're careful and have a party with you, You can easily kill them. They are after all just goblins.

Which is why I am ashamed to say that I died by goblins after all that time and effort I put into adventuring and practicing archery, I even got to rank six!

Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

Now enough with the self deprecation and let's talk about how i'm alive after i just died, Well it's pretty simple really i just reincarnated with my memories intact. How? I had a trait that grants immunity to both magical and spiritual forms of soul altering affects. I say had because i'm not sure if i still have it yet.

Now let's look at me, You see that animal that's feasting on ants? The one that looks like a what if scenario where a lizard and a rat had a baby? That's me. Crazy isn't it? Or should i say Cratzy? Haha rat pun.

Right now i'm eating ants to satiate my hunger and gain some EXP, I'm also talking to myself and making bad jokes to make sure i don't go insane, Which is the second time i've done this, The first being when I first came to this magic filled world, I was in a forest alone so that should explain it.

Getting enough EXP to gain a rank is going to be rough, I don't think these Carpenter ants give much EXP and I can't check since i don't have access to the system yet.

I wonder how much EXP I need to rank up, Usually it takes a human 300 EXP to get to rank 1 and access the system. But since i'm a small baby monster I can probably rank up with less EXP.

I'm still not sure what kind of monster I am, I have concluded that i have both traits of a lizard and a rat but that's the most I can tell, For example my tongue looks like a rat's tongue but it has two ends like a lizard. My tail looks like a lizard's yet my body has fur like a rat's. Maybe i'm a chimera?

More thoughts for later I guess.

I can hear something big behind me moving towards me slowly but surely like it's hunting an oblivious prey feasting on its food. A prey that sounds eerily similar to me.

I run. I run as fast as these legs let me, Which is fast really fast for a small animal like me.

I head to my home which is a small hole in this dark gloomy cave.

As soon as i set foot in my hidey hole i hear a loud *THUD* behind me. I look back only to see a raccoon twice the size as me staring intently at me stuck in the entrance of my humble abode.

Shit Shit Shit Shit Shit.

If he's stuck there how am I gonna get out? The only way for me to get out is by getting that raccoon out, And since I can't do that while it's alive or It'll try to eat me I'll have to kill it, And how am I gonna kill it when I have nothing but my claws in here and he's stuck right... there...

I'll claw it. I'll claw it to death with these sharp little claws.

I claw it once and it growls. I claw it a second time and it growls a second time. I claw it a third, fourth, and fifth time.

It tried to bite me in all of those times yet it couldn't bite me while it's stuck. It's right eye is bleeding profusely and it's right cheek and it's nose are both wounded. But i'm not done yet sadly so I bite it's ear and munch on it, It's growls have already turned into whimpers of defeat.

I feel like a monster (which i am), I'm hurting a defenseless raccoon over and over whilst it whimpers in pain, But I have to do this, it's the only way i'll get out of here and It's also gonna give me enough EXP to rank up, And if I don't rank up I could easily get eaten by another raccoon wanting to avenge it's bretheren.

I'm gonna take a break, My fur is covered in raccoon blood and i'm as exhausted as a cat after chasing a laser pointer for an entire hour.

I fall asleep whilst thinking of cute cuddly cats only for my mind to go back to the sounds of the raccoon whimpering.
