Elron slowly came to, and as he blinked several times, trying to comprehend his surroundings, he noticed that everything was still very much the same–The screaming, the crackling of buildings burning, and the constant clash of steel that resounded throughout the town.
He looked over at the the giant hole in the city square and noticed he had been dragged a bit further, and to much of his surprise, his legs were back to normal. The prince wigled his toes ever so slightly, watching the leather bulge in his boots. That’s when he noticed that a black haired woman had been laying next him in a puddle of blood. It was the late Mrs. Moonshadow.
Things were not looking good, as not only was Mrs. Moonshadow down, a slew of other guards were dead too, their bodies littered the streets.
There in the middle of the city still, was Lord Moon and the death knight going to toe to toe with one another. Both of them had noticeable signs of damage. The knight had a missing arm and missing pieces of armor. The slyph’s green clothes was drenched in blood. Unfortunately for Lord Moon, it was clear he was beginning to tire in comparison to how he first started fighting, and the death knight was not showing signs of fatigue at all.
It was only a matter of time before the city fell, and to make matters worse. Some of the fallen citizens started to rise up as zombies and wander the burning city.
In the corner of his eye, he saw something that made him think he had really died this time. It was Kael. He was completly fine, not a scratch on him, as he flung a bolt of mana at a zombie.
Elron tried to yell out to Kael, yet he didn’t seem to hear him out of all the commotion. As Kael pushed his way down the main street, he struck down the occasional zombie and pushed on. That’s when Elron noticed his true intentions.
The prince cried out, “Get away from there!”
Kael didn’t hear him, and he continued to strut to the zone where Lord Moon and the death knight tried to strike each other down over and over. Kael began to conjure a barrage of mana bolts and flung them at the death knight. They formed all around him, like small spears of blue light and homed in the mass of death. All of them struck true, yet it only made the knight pause for a brief moment in annoyance.

It deflected Lord Moons blow, and sent him flying into a house, sending debris and dust everywhere. It then charged Kael.
Elron grabed his sword, and bolted for Kael, and screamed, “Run, Kael!”
He wasn’t going to make it. The knight was going to turn his best friend into a paste before his eyes, and there was nothing he was going to be able to do about it. That’s when the knight stopped dead in its tracks and turned to Elron.
“Give it to me,” it rasped.
Elron steeled himself and pointed his sword at him. The sword then began to flicker in a red light, and before anyone knew a stream of red fog seeped out from the tip of the blade. It lingered and wisped it’s way over to the death knight. Everyone was so intranced by the sight, even the undead creature was puzzled. However, it’s intrigue was quickly washed away as the red fog manifested into a solid form and wrapped itself around the knight.
“Agh! Release me!” it yelled.
“No,” echoed Balmer.
And with like a string wrapping around a spool, the death knight was encased inside of the red transparent fog and slowly dragged towards the edge of the sword. It pushed against the force, and it caused Elron to grib onto the hilt with two hands. To him, it felt like he lassoed a large bull and was deperaly holding on.
The death knight continued to wail unfrogetable sounds of agony as it was pulled ever closer to the swords edge. It sunk it’s feet into the earth, leaving dredge marks in the road as it was finally pulled right infront of Elron. With a wooshing sound, the knight was lifted up into the air and compressed into a thin line before entering the tip of the sword. As it’s body thinned out and diespeared into the sword, it’s screamed were contored and bent, making it seem so ever distant. Eventually the knight disappeared entirely with a pop, and Elron collapsed onto his rear in shock. Between his legs bounced a rather familiar looking amulet which he seized.
