Hello, everybody.
It's been over a year since my last update, and I've come to you with some news.
The reason for my extended absence rests on discovering a new passion. Evolution Cubed and Rise of the Demoness (along with a couple other stories on Royal Road) were marvelous learning experiences. I'll never bemoan the time I spent with them. They taught me to branch out, to explore a more high-fantasy setting with a heavy LitRPG approach. I learned to interact with you, the readers. They were my teachers for the ins-and-outs of serial writing, and will always have a special place in my heart.
However, the past year and change, I've been working on a new title: Train to Elysium. It's a big departure from my previous stories: an urban fantasy setting, interwoven narrative pulling pieces from different fictional elements, compiling themes, a more comprehensive history behind organizations and events spanning millennia, more focused world-building, a tale of trying to do the right thing in a world that makes it very difficult to know what the right thing is, a story of friendship, growth, adversity, and moral gray area. It's something I've poured my heart and soul into, a passion project I've been carefully cultivating with the hopes of one day showing the world. I can't wait until the day I do, which I believe is fast approaching!
This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.
At the same time, I know there are many who would like to see the stories of Evolution Cubed and Rise of the Demoness continue. While I can't guarantee my ability to continue these stories, I don't want to leave them on such abrupt endings, especially not if there are people still invested in these tales. I'll most likely incorporate elements (such as characters) as best I can into Train to Elysium, and I'll probably upload what my plans were for these stories some time or later. I'm hoping to continue sharing details and maybe even excerpts from Train to Elysium leading up to its release on this platform, but if the overwhelming response is for me to continue telling the stories of Evolution Cubed and Rise of the Demoness, I'll try my best.
To everyone who stood by me along the journey of Evolution Cubed and Rise of the Demoness, thank you so much. Your support has meant the world to me. I know this is may be disappointing news to some, and I apologize that I've made you wait so long only for an announcement of a different series. I hope that we can carry on, and the legacy of Evolution Cubed and Rise of the Demoness will never be forgotten.
Thank you.
