While fleeing from the monster Krizface, Enric trips and pulls Jonan down with him.
"Jonan, it's okay, leave me here. I'll only slow you down. I'll hold off the monster," Enric says weakly.
Jonan snaps back, "No way. Get up Jonan responds with a serious and irritated look, We're getting out of here together. Now get on your feet before I kill you myself!".
Enric chuckles weakly, stands up, and says, "The screams have stopped, Jonan. Does that mean the monster left?"
For the first time, Jonan's face was readable, it was fear spreading across his entire face. as he whispers urgently, "Don't move."
Enric freezes. Suddenly, Krizface leaps out from the trees, landing only meters away, sniffing the air. The faceless creature moves directly towards Enric,
its featureless visage inches from Enric's own. Sweat beads on Enric's forehead, his mouth dry with dread as he wonders how a creature can have no face.
Then he sees him—Tim stands quietly among the distant trees, watching. Suddenly, a deafening roar erupts beside them, causing their ears to bleed and knocking them to the ground.
Strangely, Krizface disappears back into the shadows.
Jonan helps Enric to his feet, breathing heavily. "Climb onto my back; it'll be faster to carry you." Tim remained in the same spot among the trees, watching them.
Enric said hesitantly, his expression confused, "Do you also see Tim over there, or is it just me?" Jonan replied, "Yes, I see him too. Let's move toward him, maybe Cham Cham is with him..."As they move towards Tim, he inexplicably seems farther away the closer they get.
Suddenly, Cham Cham bursts from the bushes, panting, his right arm torn and bleeding, his face filled with fear, and his eyes brimming with tears.
Cham Cham runs toward Jonan, sobbing, He begins speaking while heavily panting, "We have to get out of here—something isn't right in this forest..." Jonan responds, "First, take a deep breath and tell me what happened while we keep moving."
"An hour ago, Tim and I were at camp. We heard a roar nearby. Tim insisted on investigating, worried about you two. He never came back. When I went looking, Tim appeared and ravaged my hand with his bare teeth" he says terrified,
then vanished. I just started running as fast as i could and then i saw u guys..." Cham Cham trembles, tears streaming down his face.
Jonan places a reassuring hand on his shoulder, "We'll make it through this. Don't lose hope."
Enric asks nervously, "What now, Jonan? You're the expert here." Jonan pauses, deep in thought.
The book mentioned nothing helpful about Krizface except some powder but i cant tell them that... Hiding his uncertainty, he firmly replies, "We cover ourselves with mud. Its sense of smell is the only way he should be able to find us. Maybe that'll save us." His voice was strong and full of confidence,
but internally he felt terrified. This creature is so horrifying, he thought to himself. And what happened to Tim—how could it even be possible? Was that really Tim? And why was he just watching us from among the trees...?

So many questions flooded his mind, but there was no one to answer.
They continue onward, the passing of time blurred—minutes, hours, days— they couldn't know, no matter how much they walked or ran the terrian stayed the same a dark and dense forest...
until Jonan finally finds a suitable resting spot. He arranges watch rotations: himself first, Enric second, and Cham Cham last, two hours each. The others quickly fall asleep.
Alone, Jonan struggles with unanswered questions, He thought to himself, I have to find something—anything. Maybe it's magic...?
But monsters shouldn't be capable of using magic, so this shouldn't even be possible. What could it be? This question replayed repeatedly in his mind,
and just before he went to wake Enric, he saw him.. His heart pounds heavily when he spots Krizface again, silently appearing before Tim.
In one horrifying moment, Krizface reveals a massive, fanged mouth on its belly beneath his fur and devours Tim entirely.
Jonan vomits, overwhelmed. "Impossible… what is this thing?" Panic grips him. He steadies himself with deep breaths, As he feels an odd tingling sensation in his chest.
Without wasting a second, He woke Enric and Cham Cham, saying urgently, "Get up—he's here."
They woke quickly, still appearing exhausted, especially Cham Cham, who had lost the most blood. They stood up and continued moving, but this time something strange happened to Jonan again—the tingling sensation returned in his chest,
And suddenly he just knew the right path. He began leading them toward the forest exit. Gradually, they saw rays of sunlight breaking through the branches.
Finally, they emerged from the forest and collapsed on the ground, exhausted. Cham Cham fainted, and Enric began laughing weakly. Only Jonan remained quiet. He saw Krizface watching him, silently signaling him never to return...
After treating their wounds and resting for a few hours, someone had to make a decision—and that someone was Jonan. Enric and Cham Cham both looked at Jonan,
waiting to hear the next instructions from the person who had saved them. Jonan began speaking:
"Listen, I still think we should keep moving toward the city. If we don't sell our goods and buy food for the camp, we won't survive this winter.
But if you prefer to go back after everything that's happened, that's fine. I'll complete the task myself." His voice was calm, his face once again unreadable,
but inside his head, all he could think about was that strange feeling that had saved him in the forest, leading him out safely.
Enric and Cham Cham glanced at each other and simultaneously responded, "If you're going, I'm going!" and let out a small laugh
They started serching for the wagon until Enric yelled "Found it, get over here"
They began loading their supplies back onto the wagon. Luckily,
the horses hadn't wandered far, and they quickly managed to catch them and hitch them back up to the wagon.
With that done, they resumed their journey toward the city of Bellhorn.
On the way, the three did not speak. The only sound was Cham Cham's quiet sobbing from within the wagon as he mourned his brother.
