Su Qingcheng stood alone on the stage, clearly seeing the six fellows that made up Li Chen’s group. On one hand, she knew she could take on all of them at once by using her lightning nascent soul to its limit, but there was also the big, very likely possibility that other Li clan boys would join in the fun, which would force Su Qingcheng in a disadvantageous position very quickly. After all, she was alone. She would not allow Xiao Hua to help her in this moment of bravado as it would invalidate the bet at once, not to mention she was sure Xiao Dian wouldn’t allow her to come up either. Are you sure this is a good idea? This seems like something rather spur of the moment. Oh well, I won’t blame you for this. Maybe something good will come out of it. I can feel a faint energy welling up in your body. If you can awaken it, it will probably help you when it comes to breaking through to the next level. Yao Meiyue, being a spiritual force that resided as one with Su Qingcheng was now acutely aware of the sensations that were occurring inside her body. Indeed, Su Qingcheng began to feel faint slivers of otherworldly power surrounding her lightning nascent soul, as if she were beginning to awaken primordial urges that resonated within the Universe.
Her intense stress and bravery seemed to trigger this spark which made her incredibly impulsive, daring to ferociously stand up to the plot of Li Fengtian, who really was just a wolf in sheep’s clothing after all. Inwardly, Xiao Dian cursed for falling for Li Fengtian’s scheme. Who knew he was working for his clan in such an underhanded manner? However, he then was reminded about Xiao Hua warning him about Xiao Tie having a new backer. After this farce was over, he would interrogate that viper. Meanwhile, Su Qingcheng stood still, rooted to the spot releasing an imposing aura that made the weaker Li clan boys shake in their seats. Li Chen however stood almost valiantly against the young girl. “I’d like to see how a bitch like you can stand up to all of us! How dare you proclaim to be better than all of us?” Li Chen cried out in aggrieved anger.
“Humph, you chauvinistic dogs. Come at me all at once if you dare. I do believe I can take all of you down.” Su Qingcheng scowled at Li Chen, the ferocious sight of this young girl shocking Xiao Hua inwardly. She knew about those rumors about Su Qingcheng gaining immense power from the misfortune of being kidnapped, but she had no idea how much that event had really changed her. Coupled with her resentment from her death in her past life, Su Qingcheng’s warrior spirit had been ignited. She didn’t want something like this to get in the way of Xiao Hua’s love life, and feeling a deep-seated urge to help a fellow ranker, she was willing to go all out for this. Li Chen himself scoffed in disdain as he whistled and his fellow five brothers suddenly stood up and rushed at Su Qingcheng all at once.
Xiao Hua yelled out at Su Qingcheng, “Watch out!” but it seemed that her warnings weren’t entirely necessary. Su Qingcheng quickly adopted the Black Hole Stance and let the lightning nascent soul do its work; it was churning deep inside her abdomen where her dantian would be. Sparks began to fly from her arms and a flash of lightning burst out from both of her eyes, causing the Li boys who didn’t immediately jump into the conflict to be startled. Two of Li Chen’s brothers had immediately gotten close to Su Qingcheng in the blink of an eye, but the girl had quickly created Lightning Nightflower Tianqi, deftly taking two steps back and throwing both of her arms forward, causing the two boys to run into her fists, one for each fist. They immediately thought they could get the advantage by grabbing her arms to lock her down, but they never would have imagined that Su Qingcheng could discharge a ferocious lightning tianqi from her fists, immediately causing them to be launched into the ground as if they were kites with broken strings tossed by the winds. The other four guys, Li Chen included, suddenly stopped in their tracks when they saw Su Qingcheng effortlessly stop the advance of two guys who were in the mid Geomancer stratum.
Li Fengtian’s gaze became more solemn and profound, as if he were contemplating something. This look didn’t go unnoticed by the perceptive Xiao Dian, who frowned. Xiao Hua herself was too busy fretting over Su Qingcheng being seemingly overconfident and threatening the entire room to notice. Su Qingcheng herself glared at Li Chen and his gang. “Well? Did you guys get cold feet, or what? You all should be glad I don’t have any grievances with you kids, otherwise I wouldn’t be against killing you all!”
Li Fengtian growled. “Impudent brat!”
Li Chen stopped the grand elder in his tracks. “Humph, don’t involve yourself in this matter of the younger generation. This girl is just hotblooded trash who thinks just because she can strut like this, she can influence such matters as marriage! Boys, let’s get her!”
The entire room minus the Xiao father and daughter pair and Li Fengtian stood up, glaring at Su Qingcheng as if they could pierce her and make her into a hedgehog. Su Qingcheng’s expression became solemn, but she remained dauntless and was not afraid. “Good, very good!” Su Qingcheng laughed. “Since you’re all courting death, let me be the one to teach you all a good lesson about women! We aren’t your flipping bargaining chips or play things!” Su Qingcheng bellowed out as she stuck out a finger and did a “come at me!” gesture with it.
Thoroughly provoked, Li Chen and all the other boys suddenly charged at her in a rage. Su Qingcheng utilized her Black Hole Stance to the fullest, knowing that in this kind of battle, she had an advantage in that her particular spot in the hall allowed her to minimize the number of opponents she had to battle at the same time. Since there were so many of them and only one of her, it would be akin to a movie set where the main character had to battle through a horde of filler enemies at the same time. Su Qingcheng noticed that a majority of these Li clan boys didn’t have very good fighting skills, allowing her to utilize her Star Vortex Fist to steal their Tianqi to keep her energy reserves running. She knew she could not use her Lightning Nightflower Tianqi so frivolously especially since after this, she would have already thoroughly offended a significant portion of the Li family clan.
Li Chen was shocked, as he was the only one out of most of his brothers that could fight toe-to-toe with Su Qingcheng. He inwardly started to feel a great pressure on him because he knew he was the only one capable not only of salvaging his clan’s plan but also he could get a big reward from Xiao Tie if he could successfully subdue Su Qingcheng, however she seemed to be filled with boundless energy. It was only then he realized his brothers grew very tired, very fast. “What kind of sorcery are you using! Stop it at once!” Li Chen cried foul, but how could he know that Su Qingcheng was using the Star Vortex Fist to steal the vitality of those boys to keep herself strong while weakening the others to the extent that they couldn’t fight properly anymore?

“You idiot. There’s so many of you, how do you expect me to battle you fools endlessly without any tricks up my sleeve?” Su Qingcheng laughed as she effortlessly started to swat away those weaker Li clan boys. She took extreme care though not to deal any fatal blows, instead focusing on incapacitating them or knocking them out or simply just making them unable to fight anymore. The more Li Fengtian saw this, the more he was convinced Su Qingcheng didn’t really have any designs against him and he felt regret on this sight. Truth to be told, he was also in on Xiao Tie’s scheme, as he was present with Li Chen when Xiao Tie was making the deal with him. He believed that if he could sway Xiao Dian and Xiao Hua to his side to isolate Su Qingcheng, then Li Chen wouldn’t have any issues with dealing with her.
However, it was against his expectations that Su Qingcheng would be so chivalrous and protect Xiao Hua’s honor as if she was a white knight? Unfortunately for him, he didn’t know that Xiao Hua was already smitten by someone else, an outsider at that. Even more so, there was no such thing as regret medicine. He was already very grateful that Su Qingcheng was being merciful and was only doing this under the pretense of teaching them a lesson. He saw Xiao Dian’s enraged expression and felt very guilty. Deep inside, Li Fengtian had his reservations about the affair too but the rewards Xiao Tie promised the Li clan were just too great. After all, Xiao Tie did have the backing of the Demon Flame Sect, which was very rich by now and could provide great benefits to its allies. He shook his head in disappointment.
On the other hand, Su Qingcheng had now been swept with a battle lust, feeling the primordial strands of energy surrounding her rotating lightning nascent soul swell up. Yao Meiyue could recognize this while carefully observing the spiritual signature around Su Qingcheng as she continued to battle against the horde of Li clan boys. The girl was, however, unable to gain a big advantage against Li Chen who was actually very strong; about to break through to the Tianqi Prince stratum. He also had a lot of experience in street brawls and bar fights due to being a frivolous unrestrained guy who often went around in red light districts to have some “fun.” Su Qingcheng realized this and felt a bit ashamed about underestimating him. However, all this did was to further motivate her warrior’s spirit.
Su Qingcheng, keep going! I can’t believe I’m saying this, but you are awakening a divine essence! Yao Meiyue called out as Su Qingcheng was swept up in a rage, but she seemed not to listen. The primordial energy continued to swirl up as the numbers of the Li clan boys lessened and lessened at an alarming rate. At this point, it wasn’t an uncommon sight to see Su Qingcheng effortlessly parrying the amateur blows of the boys with her abnormal Black Hole Stance, only managing to barely handle Li Chen who took advantage of their superior numbers to try and get the upper hand. Yao Meiyue couldn’t believe what she was sensing. The battle rage and emotional state of Su Qingcheng was awakening something within her abnormal constitution that was undoubtedly spurred by the presence of a nascent soul in her body.
Normally, if she were to undergo a conventional training process, this kind of divine essence could only be sensed at the stage where she acquired a regular nascent soul. However, due to the fact that Su Qingcheng had acquired a divergent nascent soul so early, she could already trigger this particular essence. As it was a primordial one seemingly originating from the depths of the universe itself, even Yao Meiyue had trouble defining just what exactly it was. The energy swirling around the nascent soul seemed to become increasingly violent as Su Qingcheng continued to battle. The longer Yao Meiyue tried to analyze it, the more she understood. This was the divine essence of “Battle”! The basest instinct of a human to fight for what they believe is right! Su Qingcheng’s warrior will had been triggered the moment she was thrown into this den of disgusting men who only wanted to conquer women! The divine essence of battle had slowly poured itself to every fiber of Su Qingcheng’s being, rejuvenating her spirit and causing her to fight with more efficacy. Even she finally started to notice such a change as she bellowed out ferociously like those martial artists on Earth who yelled out in ‘kiai’ fashion!
“Ahhhh!!!” Su Qingcheng cried out bravely under the stupefied gazes of the Li clan boys who were still conscious, most of all Li Fengtian and Xiao Dian who were at a high enough cultivation level to sense the change!
Li Fengtian uttered some words to himself. “No, this is inconceivable…! The phenomenon of a ‘Flower Blossoming in Battle…!’ Even worse, we have been indirectly responsible for triggering a divine essence awakening! This is bad, I have doomed our Li clan!”
Xiao Dian was surprised also, he could also recognize this phenomenon. Xiao Hua didn’t understand what was going on, but seeing the reverent gaze in her dad’s eyes, she then knew what Su Qingcheng was doing wasn’t ordinary at all. Su Qingcheng herself had finally knocked down all of the incompetent boys aside from Li Chen himself. Her imposing stance had already changed to Night Lily Stance as she glared at Li Chen coldly, who finally felt cold sweat pouring down his back.
“You… freak!” Li Chen choked. He completely lost his courage to battle Su Qingcheng and retreated back.
Su Qingcheng finally had a chance to feel the divine battle essence empowering her very being. She smiled as she calmed down, her gaze becoming less cold towards Li Chen. “I have to say, I must actually thank you. This adverse situation has really benefitted me in the end.” It seemed Su Qingcheng had taken Yao Meiyue’s words to heart after all.
“You don’t need to worry about your brothers and friends. They are just quite injured and will recover. I don’t have any grievances with your clan after all. I just disdain the behavior of people like you who force themselves on capable women like Young Mistress Hua.”
Xiao Dian glared at Li Fengtian as he stood up and took Xiao Hua with him. He coughed. “Right, Little Qingcheng is indeed wise and powerful. We’d better leave. I apologize for making a mess of things.” The two of them left as Su Qingcheng quietly walked away with them.
Li Fengtian stared at Li Chen who looked terrified. He finally opened his mouth to speak when Xiao Dian and company had already left the hall.
“You blithering idiot!” Li Fengtian yelled at Li Chen.
Su Qingcheng could only hear a shrill cry from the inn when she left the premises with Xiao Dian and Xiao Hua. She was already satisfied after she had vented her energy. The divine battle essence surrounding her nascent soul once again gently swirled around it calmly, as if it had fallen asleep once again…
