Is it over?

I sat atop my horse beside the cavalry who were awaiting my order to charge. My cavalry were the elites in my army and were positioned on the right flank of my army almost mimicking the tactics of Epaminodas and Pelopidas at the battle of Leuctra. the sun is to our backs as I grab the reins of my horse gripped my lance.

"CHARGE!" I yelled as I snapped the reins of my horse and rode forward cavalry behind me also charging at full speed to meet the Zephyr noble infantry head on.

*clang* *slam* *splash*

The cavalry hit the Zephyr infantry with devastating power tearing them to shreds. across the battlefield the infantry clashed creating a deadlock so far Zephyr had inferior quality they held an almost overwhelming numerical advantage which is greater than originally thought holding an almost seven to one infantry advantage. the only thing in the Favor of the Kingdom of Thessia is that the Zephyr archers have not got within range to fire arrows into the Thessian formation which is slowly wavering.

ten minutes later the archers got into formation and wreaked havoc on Friend and foe alike, seemingly not caring for who they hit.

within two hours the Zephric noble infantry collapsed and routed running into archer fire as they did causing disarray among their allies disrupting formations causing some in the rear to break and run. with the elite infantry defeated the Thessian cavalry crashed into the enemy infantry who were quick to run trampled each other trying to run and with that victory has been achieved.

"Brother the enemy king has been captured" James said smiling from atop his horse Carrying a large man tied up over his shoulder

"Why was the king with this army?" I asked James who responded "You ask as if I know the reason why."

"Just thought that he was supposed to be in the south" I said trying to recall Henry's memories

"I guess that means the war is over, Just like that." he said relaxing slightly "after five whole years." he continued

"Yeah I guess so" I said "do you have the casualty report?" I asked

"Yes we lost ten dozen men at arms and around half of our infantry, mostly injured unable to fight." it was Pyrrhic victory I doubt the kingdom of Thessia could could take these kind of losses especially considering that these men are among the elite in the army.

"So celebration?" I said trying to lighten the mood

James shook his "We didn't bring enough alcohol for that, unfortunately."

"Let's head back home and recover." I said to which James nodded his head

The march it's self was fairly uneventful taking only a few days it was shocking to me how close we were to the capital a fact neither James or this body's previous host knew. I mostly used the march to look through Henry's memories and found out this guy was not a bad guy although he was a bit naive and a womanizer there wasn't anything special about him. James is Henry's younger twin brother who is a relatively nice guy although an alcoholic although he vehemently denies it, also a womanizer although he usually couldn't keep his lovers for long due to the war and him not staying in the same place for long. He also found out he had two younger siblings a younger brother Named Roderick who is four years old and a sister named Maria who is turning eighteen in a couple of weeks, however unlike with James he is unable to remember anything actually important about them. Roderick is because he was born a year after me and James left for war not returning home in five years, Maria However I don't know why all I know is that we are close.

arriving in front of the castle which resembles Dover castle James seemed to be in a good mood.

"Hello we're home! The princes of Thessia have returned!" James yelled upwards to the men on the gate house showing them our house banner which was a black eagle perched on the pommel of a sword on a red background.

And with that the gate was opened and we walked into the courtyard.
