Chapter 6: Alice Lee

Chapter 6: Alice Lee

'I finally get to see another human!' Black Flame was excited. He was tired of having no one else to talk to except his so-called Assistant. Who knows? This human might know some of the answers about the Apocalypse.

"Faraday! Maximum Speed!" Black Flame commanded.

[Command accepted.] Faraday replied.

In just 30 seconds, Black Flame reached the place and saw 2 Grade 1 Variants running after a human.

Black Flame instantly flew close to the zombies and with Claw Hand activated he stabbed their foreheads, causing the zombies to let out a shriek before going to the afterlife.

"That was too easy." Black Flame spoke.

The human who was running as if their life depended on it came to a halt when they stopped hearing the screams of the zombies. Slowly, they turned their head back and saw Darth Va- I mean a man wearing a futuristic black-red armor covering their body from head to toe just like Iron Ma- ehem I should just stop with the references.

Black Flame looked at the human in front of him.

A stunning young woman stood before him, her long, silky pink hair cascading down her back in gentle waves, shimmering faintly under the soft light. Her pale skin was almost luminous, with a delicate, porcelain-like quality that contrasted beautifully with her vibrant locks. She had striking emerald eyes—large, expressive, and gleaming like precious jewels—that seemed to captivate with a glance, pulling those who looked into them into a fascinating spell of wonder.

Her figure was nothing short of breathtaking, her hourglass silhouette accentuated by the fullness of her H-cup breasts, which swelled gracefully against the fabric of her outfit.

Her lips were soft, a light pink that matched the subtle blush on her cheeks, and they parted ever so slightly, revealing just a glimpse of pearly white teeth. Everything about her seemed almost too perfect, like a dream brought to life, with delicate femininity and a mesmerizing aura that was impossible to ignore

She was wearing dirty clothes which were torn in various places but covered her assets.

"Hiii~!" The girl squealed as she saw the figure moving towards her with those bloodied claws. She thought he would kill her now that he was done with the zombies and started backing away.

Black Flame saw that she was afraid of him and wondered why. He then examined himself and saw that he was covered in zombie blood, looking very intimidating and his bloodied claws stuck in his victims' forehead made him look like a serial killer. Hence, he understood why she looked terrified. Honestly, even he thought he looked a bit scary right now.

'Wait a second, these zombies were originally human and I killed them without feeling even a shred of remorse so, I guess that does make me a serial killer. Well, I don't care and if I went back in time I'd still kill them.' Black Flame thought.

'Faraday, Deactivate Claw Hands.' Black Flame commanded.

[Understood.] Faraday replied.

*Shing!*

The claws retracted and Black Flame raised his hands in the air as he walked towards the woman.

"...!"

The woman became wary for a second after seeing his claws retract and seeing him come towards her before calming down when she saw his hands in the air.

"I mean no harm." Black Flame said

"..." The woman almost rolled her eyes after hearing this. After all, Black Flame was still covered in the greenish-black blood of the zombies and looked quite scary. However, she still gave him a chance to speak because he was the one who saved her life.

"What's your name?" Black Flame asked.

The woman stayed silent for a moment, thinking if she should answer. After pondering for a bit she opened her mouth.

"Alice Lee." Alice replied.

"Alice, huh? That's a good name." Black Flame said.

"Um-um..."

"Do you want to say something?" Black Flame asked as he saw her hesitate.

"Um- can I ask you something if it isn't too offensive?" Alice asked.

"Are you a human and what is your name?" Alice immediately got into a defensive position, thinking he would attack her for asking such a rude question.

"Geez~ why are you so afraid of me?" Black Flame spoke.

'Say that after you look at yourself in the mirror!' Alice thought but didn't dare to say it out loud.

"And as for your questions. Yes, I am a human and you can call me Flame." Black Flame said.

"Th-then thank you for saving my life Mr. Flame," Alice said as she bowed her head 90 degrees.

"It's fine." Black Flame replied.

"But, I think we should hide. There are thousands of zombies roaming on this island. If we get spotted by them it's game over for us. Luckily for us, they are all distracted by something so, now is the best time to deceive their senses. Who knows? We might even find a boat and can row ourselves to an island with no zombies." Alice gave a long ass explanation of what they should do.

"That won't be necessary." Black Flame said.

"Huh? Why?" Alice asked.

"I killed all of them." Black Flame said.

"What? Mr. Flame, please don't joke about something like this." Alice rebuked.

"Do you hear the screams or shouts of the zombies?" Black Flame asked.

"Huh? What do you- !"

Alice then realized. Ever since Black Flame appeared in front of her, she completely stopped hearing the sounds of the zombies, not even the usual grunts could be heard. Moreover, seeing how Black Flame was completely drenched in zombie blood and the strong stench of rotting corpses coming from the distance added further credibility to his unbelievable statement.

"B-but how? That should be impossible! Unless you have bombs it shouldn't be possible! But, I didn't hear the sound of any explosion!" Alice screamed, refusing to accept reality. After all, how can a single human have so much power? If there was an army of 1000 people armed with machine guns she might've believed it but a single human killed almost 10000 Zombies! That too within just 2 hours!

"Woman, you have no idea what's possible." Black Flame said. He didn't blame the woman too much because he understood where she was coming from. After all, Zombies were creatures that pushed the world to the brink of extinction. Then suddenly, a strange man pops up and says that he killed thousands of them in just a few hours single-handedly. Even he would've had a hard time believing something like this.

[Conditions to Unlock the 9th Ability have been met.] Faraday's voice resounded inside his head.
