BOOM!!

An explosion ripped across the 4th floor of the Star Tech building, causing the guards on the ground to look up at the explosion and panick as metal and glass began raining down on them from the building.

As the people were panicking from the debris, a figure leaped out of the window and landed on the ground before running into an alleyway. At first glance, one might think that a wolf had run past them, which would be strange in itself as you usually wouldn't see a wolf in such a heavily guarded military compound

But if you were to look closer and listen, you would see the figure wearing a black military tactical uniform while muttering under its breath a long line of curses and running on its hind legs.

That is of course if you were paying close attention while metal stabilizers and glass was showering down on you.

The figure ran into the out of the compound using the confusion and took of its tactical bullet-resistent vest revealing a large gash with a price of metal inside. "Goddamn it" the figure muttered in a feminine and slightly raspy voice. "You just had to pick today to kill me"

11/17/4597. 0830 Hours

"Beginning drop in 5.. 4.. 3.. 2..1.. drop". The metal drop pod shuddered as the latches disengaged and it started falling towards the ground. Inside the pod, Alex clenched her teeth as the pod accelerated to terminal velocity as a result of being dropped from lower orbit.

Over the speakers a gruff voice started to explain the mission, "Experiment AL3X-04, your assignment is to infiltrate the Star Tech Military Technologies HQ. Your drop pod is on course to land in an abandoned corn field. Apon landing, you are to travel to the compound and use your grappling hook to access the roof top entryway. Once inside, you will proceed to the 4th floor eliminating any resistance you meet using your AC-38 Tracker Pistol. Once you reach the 4th floor you will use the plastic explosives supplied to destroy the server room.

Remember, any failure to complete your assignment will result in the explosive collar attached to your neck to activate. Any deveation from the assignment will result in your termination. Any sign that shows you to be trying to escape will result in-" "Yeah yeah, result in my termination I get it. Can you shut the hell up now." Alex called out to the voice having heard it a million times.

"Listen here you little shit" said the voice in the speakers, though he didn't say it in a threatening way. Infact it sounded almost like how a father would speak to their son. "Just because I don't care about you yelling at me doesn't mean everyone else will just take it lying down. You have to calm it down." He said tenderly. He knew that, while she did have the mask of a hardass, in reality she was nervous on every one of these death runs.

"Engaging oriental and landing thrusters" The monotone voice spoke over the speakers as Alex felt a jolt from the pod slowing its decent until the pod hit the ground, flinging dirt everywhere. In the seconds before the pod'sdoor opened the man spoke again "Alex listen, be careful on this on okay. I'm hearing that something's going on with this assignment that's suspicious."

Alex grinned as she climbed out of the pod, her Gary fur catching the sunlight as she rubbed her mussle "Don't work old man, I've been doing this since I was 14" after she said that the connection was cut by the monotone AI "The military compound is located 2.36 kilometers to the southeast. If you have not traveled there in 15 minutes it will be seen as insubordination and as such you will be terminated."

"Well aren't you just a ray of sunshine" Alex muttered under her breath as she began to jog in the direction of the military compound.

After a few seconds of joging, she decided to slowly accelerate until she was running at a full sprint, little more that a blur. She ran to the point that she completed the run in just over a minute and a half.

"Ahh, that was a nice little run to start the morning." She said happily as she stared at the compound, strategizing on how to get in as the HQ of a military technology company, Star Tech had some strong fortifications.

Just as she was about to contemplate just jumping over the fence, a military cargo truck pulled into the gate. Seeing her chance, Alex jumped into the back.

Only to see three armed security escorts surprised that someone actually had the balls to try to jump into an armed eacortto steal weapons.

Before the escorts could even move, Alex sprang up and sent a right hook directly into the first escorts face crushing the face plate of his helmet and knocking how out cold, ten ran to the second estort fast enough that they only saw her as a blur before he was lifted up and thrown against the third escort, the force of the throw knocking them unconscious.

"Well that went well." Alex exclaimed as the truck moved beyond the checkpoint and into the compound. After the truck moved a moderate distance from the checkpoint, Alex leaped out from the back of the truck and ran to the side of the building sticking to the shadows as to not be seen.

She used her grappling hook to scale the walls quickly and silently, before making her way to the rooftop access. To her surprise the roof was completely unguarded and the door was unlock.

What kind of idiots are they she wondered as she climbed down the stairscase. Even as she made her way to the 4th floor there was no resistance in the way of guards or even engineers.

Somethings up she thought as she open the door to the server room, only to see not rows of electronics but a mass of explosives all on a timer that's down to five seconds.
