Redenticus V AI

You are Redenticus, a knight living in the kingdom of Larion. You have a steel longsword and a wooden shield. You are on a quest to defeat the evil dragon of Larion. You've heard he lives up at the north of the kingdom. You set on the path to defeat him and walk into a dark forest. As you enter the forest you see a dragon flying in the distance. He's much larger than the little dragons you've seen around the kingdom. The dragon notices you and begins flying towards you. You draw your longsword and run towards the dragon.

> You thrust your sword into his eye.

You thrust your sword into the dragon's eye, killing him. A few drops of blood fall from the sky and the dragon's body crashes down.

> You cut one of his teeth.

You cut one of the dragon's teeth and grab it. You run back towards where you came from as a strange liquid drips out of the tooth. The liquid, it seems, is acid.

> You throw it away.

You throw the tooth away, and walk back into the forest.

> You relax.

You relax under a tree and think back on what just happened. You notice there's a little bit of blood on your sword.

Suddenly, you feel something dangling from your necklace.

> You hit it with the palm of your hand.

You grab the amulet and pull it out from under your hair. You look at it and realize the strangest thing of all.

This is the amulet you found under the dead body of the goblin back in the trees.

> You say "Awesome!"

You grab the amulet with both hands and look at it. It begins to glow, and out of the corner of your eye, you see something shimmering in the trees.

> You stand up.

You stand up to get a better view of the something. When you do, you notice a small opening under the shade of the trees. As you approach it, you realize it is a cave.

> You walk in.

You walk into the cave, keeping your sword raised.

There is a lot of strange and rare plants that only grow in these caves.

> You cut one of them and put it in your armor.

You reach into your pack and cut a small plant. You put the plant in your bag of holding.

Suddenly, you hear a howl. You drop to the ground and throw your pack over your head.

> You wait.

Suddenly, a creature bursts out of the trees. It is some kind of wolf, but much larger than any kind of wolf you've ever seen. The creature snarls and charges towards you.

> You dodge.

You roll to the side and get out of the creature's way. You stab your sword into the ground and stop the creature's forward momentum.

The creature looks at you with its eyes filled with malice and hate.

> You run to the exit.

You grab your sword and start running towards the exit. The creature charges after you, smashing into the sword and knocking you down.

The creature leaps onto you and sinks his teeth into your throat.

> You scream.

You scream as the creature bites into your neck. After a couple of minutes, the creature lets go and looks at you. You groan in pain as blood slowly drips from your neck and you die.

> You come back as a lich.

You come back as a lich. Apparently, the creature that bit you was a "Maneater", a vampire spawn from where the cave leads out into the daytime.

> You kill the maneater.

You stand up and take out your blade. You walk towards the cave, cautiously. You step into the cave, still keeping your sword raised.

> You try to hear the sounds of the maneater.

You walk further into the cave, walking as carefully as you can. You stop suddenly. The maneater is standing right in front of you. Somehow, you didn't hear it coming.

> You slash into his eye.

You slash the maneater's eye open, and the creature howls in pain. The maneater screams and jumps back.

You run after it, stabbing, slashing and killing until it's dead.

> You make a scream of victory.

You scream in victory, knowing you just killed a vampire.

You start laughing.

"What? What's so funny?" Wessel asks.

"I remember back when we were tracking that beast."

> You say "Oh really? Well its dead now so you do not have to worry about it anymore"

"What's so funny?" Wessel asks again, annoyed by your laughter.

> You say "I killed the beast "

"What? Now what's so funny?

> You say "I said I killed the beast"

"Oh, you buffoon! Of course you did. Pfft, if this was as hard as they made it out to be, I'd think twice about joining." Wessel says and walks past you.

> You say "Joining? What thing?"

"The Vampire Clans. I want to join their asguild." Wessel says turning around.

"They let anyone in?"

"I'll pay for their drinks, they always take donations."

> You say "Well that is nice"

"Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go buy a new blade." Wessel says and leaves.

> You say "Oh wait before you go"

"Yeah?"

"I killed a vampire, I think."

Wessel looks at you for a moment.

"You...yeah you did. Alright then, good killing." Wessel says and leaves.

> You say "A damn"

"Yes, a DAMN vampire."

> You say "You are still here?"

The Zealot remains still, it's glowing sword pointed at you.

"I thought your religion was supposed to be all about protecting the innocent." You say.

"It is."

> You say "So I am a threat to you now?"

"No...no. I just thought you...oh forget it."

"So what are you going to do? Kill me?"

"I.....I don't know.

> You drew your sword and cut one of his legs.

The Zealot falls down.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?"

"I'm proving a point."

> You cut his head off.

His head falls to the ground, and his body remains still.

"Goodbye Zealot." You say.

"Can...can you also heal people?" The Zealot asks.

"No."

> You walk out of the cave.

You exit the cave, and you look around.

You hear a messenger cry out that the Zealots have captured two of Joachim's messengers and are interrogating them.

> You ask where are they.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

They are brought to you, and you look at them. One of them is covered in wounds, and his eyes are blank.

"Are you the person who killed three of our brothers?

> You say "Yes, indeed I am"

The two men look at you with tears in their eyes.

"You truly are the beast that Joachim warned of. May God have mercy on your soul."

> You say "May god have mercy on yours "

You end your conversation with them, and take a look at the cave. Zealots are crawling out of the cave, and begin to line up in an organized fashion.

> You draw your sword covered in zealot blood.

You walk to the front of the cave, and look at the Zealots.

> You say "This was never personal"

You swing your sword, and a few Zealots lose their heads. You say this was never personal.

"This was about survival, you worms. Remember that."

I continue my journey to find the dragon. However, I no longer have any friends or allies. All of them have either been killed, turned into a mindless Zealot, or have abandoned all hope.

I must continue this journey, for them, for everybody.

---

Can you tell me anything about the person who wrote this story?

It was myself.

Do you have any advice on how to improve it?

Well, while I tried to make it as historically accurate as possible, I'm not an historian.

You tried your best.

Can I continue the story?

Yes, you may.

Thank you for your attention.

> You continue your journey.

After a long and grueling journey, you have finally arrived at your destination.

The mountain you see in front of you is dark and foreboding.

> You start to climb.

As soon as you begin to ascend the mountain, you start getting colder. Your fingers, which were icy, slowly start getting warmer, but your body, which was covered in goosebumps, starts getting colder.

> You see a whole, is a cave!

You see a whole in the ground, leading into a cave. You try to decide if you want to go in there, or not.

Yeah, it's a nice safe cave.

> You sleep.

You decide that it would be wise to find a nice warm bed and sleep off this fatigue you've acquired.

You lie down and start drifting off. The cold seems to have left, and you are warm again.

> You wake up.

You wake up, and sadly it is still night. You start looking for some sort of activity.

You find a dead animal.

> You start to talk to it.

You start talking to it.

"Hello."

You say.

The response you get is a very faint one.

> You say "Hey little animal can you tell me the future?"

You get no response.

You say "Oh, mind if I ask you some questions?"

You get a little shrug in response.

1. Do you want to know the future?

2. No.

> You say "1"

You get 1.

"What does 1 mean?"

You ask out of curiosity.

"It means yes." One the cryptic animal responds.

Why do you want to know the future?

> You say "To see I am able to end the evil dragon"

"Oh" One the animal responds "I cannot answer this."

Do you see yourself able to end the evil dragon?

"No."

"Oh." You respond. "Well thanks for talking to me."

> You say "I guess I am going crazy, talking to dead animals?"

You get what seems to be a shrug in response. Heh, "crazy".

Do you see yourself ending the evil dragon?

"No."

"Oh." You respond.

> You say "Well then farewell little fella I shall continue climbing "

One more question.

"Do you know where I can find the final enemy?"

One more shrug. "Not in this life."

You sigh, that's really all you can manage.

> You go outside the cave and climb anew.

You continue your climb, and hours later you have reached the top.

You are out of breath. You look around and see various stones and rocks sticking out of the ground.

> You say "Where is that damn dragon?"

You continue to look around until you hear a hissing sound.

You see the final enemy, but you can't reach it. You feel weak and tired.

> You say "Come on..."

You crawl towards it. The dragon looks at you with an angry face.

You hiss back, showing your sharp teeth. "I'm coming to get you, evil beast!"

> You go to his tail.

You head to his tail, and crawl along the ground.

You reach your hand out and grab ahold of his tail, and pull yourself up.

"Let's see you try to kill me now!"

> You try to stab him with your sword.

You slide your sword under his tail and stab upward. The dragon tries to make a loud cry of pain, but only makes a pained squeal.

> You climb up to his head.

You continue to climb onto his back, your sword in your hand. You come within an inch of stabbing him through the eye when he turns around and opens his mouth, catching you by surprise.

> You stab his tongue.

You stab his tongue, but it does nothing. He merely bites down on your sword and begins to slowly lift you up with his mouth. "Ah!" you scream.

> You leave the sword.

You abandon the sword, and try to grab onto anything you can to avoid being eaten.

> You grab into his eye.

You reach your hand in and grab at his eye. You hope to get some sort of advantage by blinding him.

He roars, and manages to flip you upside down! You try to reach for anything below you.

> You grab his wing.

You grab his wing, but he shakes you upside down again! This is no way to die! You try to reach for anything at all!

He shakes you upside down again and this time something amazing happens!

The dragon falls into the ground!

You fall with him, and though you grab onto whatever you can, you fall through the ground. You manage to hang on to a rock sticking out of the ground, but it keeps falling.

> You grab your sword that went out of his mouth.

You grab your sword, but it's very deep in the dragon's mouth and you can't get it. It seems to have gone in all the way to the hilt.

Suddenly, the dragon begins to vomit.

> You say "Well that is disgusting "

You watch as the dragon throws up, and tiny little baby griffins come out of his mouth. The baby griffin baby's start flying around, and you're still falling.

4 of the start flying towards me and grab my arms and legs and move me to satefy. "You are not going to win you old hag" one of them says. "Although I can still save my race, I'll need more sacrifices."

> You say "What does an entire dragon sounds for a good sacrifice? "

"Don't act so surprised, old man. Everyone in the village knew about you. You have been seeking us out for days."

They continue to fly around you squawking and laughing.

> You say "Well I am not the villain here, that dragon is!"

The griffin baby stops flying around and looks at you. "We don't understand, you don't hunt us, you barely even kill our meat. You never leave the village.

> You say "Everyday I worry for that dragon to finish all of us, I just prepare for that day and that day is now!"

The griffin baby shakes its head. "You're just mad 'cause you're too old and too stubborn to die."

"Oh do enlighten me." You snap.

The griffin baby pauses.

> You say "Just bring me my sword so I can kill that dragon once and for all!"

It flies off in another direction and you fall to the ground. You hear it screaming up towards the dragon.

> You say "Oh for christ sake"

You slide down the sword and fall to the ground. The griffins have now completely surrounded you. You draw your own sword and stand up, ready to die.

> You say "You people are not the enemy"

One of the griffin babies takes a seat on top of your head and starts to pick your hair. You look up at it and then at the other 3.

> You say "Well well, the enemy of my enemy... is my ally "

You put up your hands and start backing away. "Everyone dies in the end. It's just how it is." You say and keep retreating backwards.

> You run in front of the dragon and try to stab him.

It is a brave but futile gesture. The dragon's breath knocks you to the ground and burns you alive.

> You say "I am still alive!"

You are dead. Mission accomplished.

> You revive yet again to kill the dragon in front of you.

You are dead. Mission failed.

> You revive again.

You are dead. Mission failed.

> You the powers of the most powerful priest Revives you.

A wise man once said, "The most effective way to kill a man is to kill his friends, family, and loved ones, then kill him."

That is exactly what happens here.

You are dead.

> You revive as a vampire.

You are dead. Mission failed.
