2. Snooker Pool

Sitting in the front area with other VIP customers, I watched the match between Xie Bin and Jian Lin. Xie Bin got the first turn. He missed his first ball. In my opinion, the direction of his shot was right, he should have been able to put it in. However, the strange thing was that the pool ball stopped not going into the pit.

"This is something strange, like something is preventing me from moving. I can't move my hands properly when I hit the ball," Xie Bin protested to the umpire.

"You mean someone bewitched you? Hahaha. You're just nervous, it doesn't matter all matches have losses and bad luck," said Jian Lin.

"Jian Lin! What's wrong with you?" I reprimanded him and looked into his eyes so sharply.

"Ohhh it turns out you already know my name... Mei... Mei," he replied mockingly.

Now that it was Jian Lin's turn, I saw his smile that looked arrogant and mocking. I knew it was a joke, and I averted my eyes. He managed to get all the balls in with a maximum of 147 points in 4 minutes and 58 seconds, beating the previous player's world record. Cheers and applause echoed through my club room. This was the first time I saw Xie Bin space out, staring blankly as I greeted him from my seat.

The final round resumed, the cold man entered the snooker area. I was a little fed up by the antics of the two of them. Jian Lin got the first turn, he was acting so annoying. He closed his eyes when he hit the ball, like he was deliberately failing it and giving his friend a chance.

It was Zayn's turn to put the ball in, he actually looked relaxed unlike Jian Lin. Without a long time, he got the maximum points for 4 minutes. I, who was too lazy to reward them, walked to my office on the second floor. Waiting for the agreement they made before the game started.

"Mr. Ma Yong, prepare money and special receipts for the two people who won just now. They both haven't paid the entrance fee yet. You don't need to include the thirty percent," I told my parents' trusted aide.

It was almost three in the morning, my eyes were so tired, I closed my eyes sitting on the chair in my room. I woke up because my alarm went off. I left my room at 5am. At the front of the room, I met an aide who greeted me. I saw Zayn and Jian asleep on the sofa waiting for me.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked Mr. Ma Yong's aide.

"They asked me to let you sleep," he replied.

They both woke up to my conversation with my aide. "Mr. Ma, where's the receipt, I'll just sign it here. I'm already very sleepy."

Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

After I signed it, I gave it to them. "What did you do to my club last night? You played with the electricity, it went on and off a few times," I asked as I pulled out the receipt when they were about to take it from me.

"Us?" said Jian Lin. "Ahh it's just that you haven't paid for the electricity... Mei... Mei," he added in a mocking tone.

"Don't joke," I looked at him seriously. "Answer or I'll tear up this paper."

"Umm.. it was us playing with the transformer switch down the street. It was just a coincidence that we told someone we didn't know," Zayn replied. I paused for a moment then I gave them the receipt paper.

"How much is the admission ticket here?" asked Jian Lin in an astonished tone.

"Can't you read?" I replied with a yawn.

"12,000 USD? One table reservation?" he said.

"You were in the VIP area," I explained with a slight mocking smile.

"Which one is that outdoor location overlooking the city?" asked Jian Lin. "In less than a minute of me standing there, your aide kicked me out," he added astonished in a diminished tone.

I just smiled mockingly at him. "I accidentally entered that area, is this a rule at your club?" asked Jian Lin, he still didn't accept my decision.

"There's no such thing as a fine, it only applies to you guys," I replied with a faint smile.

"How much if you're not a VIP?" asked Zayn.

"125 USD. Do you want me to deduct thirty percent like we agreed before? I've been kind enough not to include it here. Before I change my mind it's better to sign soon. I'm so tired I want to sleep," I replied sarcastically to them.

Mr. Ma Yong handed them the cash, and they signed the receipt. "I'm going home first Mr. Ma, tonight I can't come to the club, I'll leave it all to you. Don't let them come again. Call the police if you can't stand up to their stupidity," I explained as I left the three of them.

"What did she say? Stupid?" I heard Jian Lin say as I left them.

My driver, Mr. Deng Fei, was ready to pick me up in the parking lot of my club's lobby. As the morning was still faintly dark and quiet, I stared at the glass window of the car blankly. The shadow of his blue eyes bothered me.

I sat in the back seat with sleepy eyes. Their names didn't come up in my search engine. I just wondered who they were that could defeat Xie Bin.

"Mr. Deng Fei, later this afternoon I'll be heading to the Tranquil Hotel to participate in the Histocrat Auction, I need a tighter escort guard," I explained to the driver.

"Okay meimei, what time?" he asked.

"Everything should be ready from now on, the escort guard at the house is more tightened this morning until the next week," I ordered.

"Okay meimei," replied Mr. Deng Fei, who then contacted his colleague to prepare an escort guard starting in the morning.
