Defeating the demon lord

The sun sets on the war-torn landscape as Azrael who is the legendary hero of Oswald, approaches the s black fortress where the demon lord is terrorising the kingdom.

Azrael remains unfazed. This is the fifth time he has faced the demon lord, and it has become almost routine for him. Each time the demon lord rises, Azrael is there to bring her down.

As he reaches the gates, he pauses, glancing down at his sword, the divine blade that helped him along his journey. With a sigh, he sheaths it, deciding to limit himself. "This has become too easy and boring," he mutters to himself.

"Let's see if I can make this more interesting." He replies as he threw the divine sword to the ground as if he didn't need it

With nothing but his fists, he pushes open the massive doors, which creak under the strain. I

nside, the demon lord sits upon her dark throne, surrounded by an aura of malevolent power. She narrows her crimson eyes as soon as she spots him and gazes at him with a wicked grin spreaded across her face.

"Azrael, we meet again," she whispered sweetly, her voice dripping with mockery. "Are you here to defeat me once more? I must say, you're quite persistent."

Azrael rolls his eyes, not even bothering to hide his annoyance. "This is the fifth time, you know. Can't you just quit already? It's getting tiresome having to defeat you down every few years."

The demon lord rises from her throne, her dark robes gathering around her as she steps forward. "Quit? Oh no, Azrael. I wouldn't dream of it. Annoying you has become my favorite pastime. Besides, who else will keep you on your toes?"

Azrael sighs, cracking his knuckles. "Why I have to get stuck with you? Let's put you into rest"

"I just want to raise a farm in a peaceful village " Azrael says as he sighs at being called for the hero job, while he simply wanted to be a farmer.

The demon lord laughs, her laughs echoes in the chamber "Farmer? The strongest man in Oswald wanted to be a farmer? That will be amusing."

Azrael's expression darkened, with a wishful smile on his lips. "I'd rather be plowing fields than dealing with you any day. But no one takes my job."

The demon lord's amusement faded slightly as she gazed him with a curious tilt of her head. "Are you really serious, then? You really do wish for a simple life."

Azrael shrugged. "What can I say? Once or twice but 5th time is really desparate. But since you won't give up, I guess I'll have to teach you a lesson... again."

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

"Where is your divine sword? You're going to fight me with your bare hands?" the demon lord scoffed, her amusement returning. "It will be amusing to beat you finally."

Azrael didn't reply. Instead, he simply advanced, his fists clenched and ready. The demon lord's grin widened as she began to conjure her dark magic.

Flames ignited around her, and bolts of lightning crackled at her fingertips. She unleashed a barrage of spells, each more deadly than the last. Instead of using one spell at time she tried to improve her plan by using powerful spells at once at him.

Azrael moved with effortless grace, dodging and deflecting each attack as if it were child's play.

"What's the matter, Azrael?" she taunted, but she sweatdropped to see her plan foiled. "Too afraid to fight me seriously?"

Azrael didn't reply but he reached her quick, his fist connecting with her midsection in a flash as he punched directly in her chest. The impact sent shockwaves through the fortress, and the demon lord was hurled across the room, slamming into the stone wall with a bone-crunching force.

"I might as well be a one punch man right now " Azrael replied

The demon lord groaned, struggling to stand as she felt the bruises form where his fists had connected. Yet, even in her pain, she couldn't help but smirk. "Is that all you've got?" she spat, wiping a trail of blood from her lips.

"Not even close," Azrael replied, his voice calm and controlled. It was no longer fighting a battle for him—he was merely going to instincts.

What followed was a brutal, one-sided beatdown. Azrael's fists were almost blur, each strike was precise and powerful. The demon lord, despite using her magic, was helpless against his  strength. He even broke her physical resistance barrier with guard break marital art.

He only used one martial art guard break when it was necessary and he is not trying to land powerful punches. It's like the hero is practicing for a reharasal

Her spells shattered, her barrier crumbled under his fists, and her confidence finally turned to desperation.

"Sleep forever" Azrael asked, his tone almost bored as he delivered another earth-shaking punch, sending the demon lord crashing to the ground.

The demon lord stood on the ground, panting heavily, her body battered and bruised as her face is bashed. Yet, even in defeat, she refused to back down. "You... you bastard... I'm not done yet!"

Crazy how the demon lord is showing more determination than the hero, while the hero is not even hiding his lack of effort.

Azrael sighed, reaching down to grab her by the collar of her robes. With a single, effortless motion, he lifted her off the ground and slammed her back down, the force of the impact made the ground crack.

"Make a retirement plan," he remarked, dusting off his hands as he stepped back. "I'm starting to feel bad for you."

The demon lord glared at him filled with anger and admiration. Despite the beating she had just received, she was still determined. "You... you think this is over? I'll... I'll be back... You'll see..." She said and soon her body got destroyed by his fist as her body cracked with his powerful blow and she is disintegrated

Azrael shook his head, a tired smile on his face. "I know. But next time I will use only my left hand"

"And you are brave, you are a woman and yet you took the blow without much whining. I respect you as a person but not as demon lord " The hero replied as he didn't take her as serious threat from now onwards.

As he turned to leave, the demon lord's voice suddenly echoed through the chamber, filled with a strange fondness of hero. "Until next time, Azrael. I'll be waiting."

Azrael waved over his shoulder, not bothering to look back. "Nah I would win"
