Prologue 2

[Gale]

I said everything that happened to Sheila when she is unconscious. Albeit without the embarrassing and stupid part.

There's no need to mention it anyway. I nod to myself.

As for her reaction. She is sitting there with mouth agape and with bewildered expression. She sat there for about a minute before she can finally respond.

[Sheila] “Are you serious?”

Is what she said with an expression saying she doesn't want to know my answer.

But I need to be firm to her.

[Gale] “Yes. I'm serious”

[Sheila] “But. That's just…”

[Gale] “Impossible?”

[Gale] “I saw it myself and I was just being chase a couple of minutes ago.”

She just sat there with a difficult expression and suddenly slap her face.

[Gale] “wha!”

[Sheila] “aww. That hurt!”

[Gale] “Of course it will hurt! What are you doing?”

This girl..

[Sheila] “well.. I thought it might be a dream of some sort and if I slap myself a bit I will wake up?”

[Gale] “haaa” I sigh “It wasn't a dream. You better accept it now than being shock later after seeing one.”

She better accept it now than panicking later on. Panicking in front of that monster is a bad idea.

[Sheila] “What do you expect me to say? The things that said is very hard to swallow you know!”

[Gale] “Of course I know it very hard to believe and accept it. But I'm not expecting you to just accept it. I just want you to consider it, so if you see one later on you will be less shock.”

[Sheila] “Ok I will consider it. But I'm not gonna believe you until I see one myself.”

[Gale] “I thought you might say that. Well then what should we do now—“

On the middle of my sentence. I saw something coming through the window.

[Gale] “watch out!”

I pulled Sheila to myself, when I saw something is about to hit her. The thing that about to hit her, hit the wall instead.

[Sheila] “wha-! What happened!”

She said on my chest.

[Gale] “I saw something about to hit you.”

I answer her while looking at whatever hit the wall. I can't see with all this dust.

[Sheila] “What is it?”

She asked removing herself from my chest.

[Gale] “A spear?”

When the dust cleared up I saw a spear sticking to the wall.

[Sheila] “What? A spear? Where did it come from?”

[Gale] “I think I know. It's from someone you wanted to see.”

I answer her while pointing to the floating figure outside the window on our left.

[Gale] “tch” I clicked my tongue “Imp”

Outside the window I saw a black or more like gray coloured skin child with very ugly face, a small horn to each side of it’s forehead and a bat like wing. An imp or what I think it is. I pick up my weapon and grab Sheila's right hand.

[Gale] “We are running!”

After grabbing her, we ran through the back door further to our right.

[Sheila] “Hey, is that-?”

[Gale] “Yes a monster. So? Believe me now?”

I ask her while running and looking back at the monster who is chasing us.

[Sheila] “Yeah. So what are we gonna do now?”

[Gale] “Run”

[Sheila] “Just run? Can't you fight it or something?”

[Gale] “I can but I'm no fighter, look that guy pick up its spear. That's bad news! Fighting is my last resort.”

We reached the back door so I sharply turn right, pulled Sheila and we stay beside the door. While the monster just blindly go forward. We get back inside the house again.

[Sheila] “haa haa. Did we lose it?”

Sheila asked panting to my right.

[Gale] “haa. Looks like it. That monster might have been attracted by your shouting earlier.”

[Sheila] “Sorry”

[Gale] “Ah. Sorry I'm really not blaming you”

I told her because she's making a apologetic expressing while looking at me and she just nod. Urhg how can I blame her if she's making such face.

[Sheila] “What are we gonna do now?”

She says while gripping my hand that still holding her.

[Gale] “I don’t-“

[???] “Watch out!”

In the middle of my sentence I got interrupted again. I suddenly heard a voice, a girl’s voice.

I look around after hearing the voice. I know it's not Sheila's voice.

[Sheila] “what's wrong?”

[Gale] “Aaaahhhh!”

Suddenly something pierce my left arm. It came from the other side of the wall. I looked what pierce me and to my surprise it's the spear earlier.

[Sheila] “Gale!”

[Gale] “Ahhh damn!”

[Gale] “Sheila run!”

I pulled my arm off the spear and told Sheila to run.

I can barely use my left hand.

The spear got pulled by whoever is on the other side.

I got an idea who it is. Damn monster if it wasn't for the mysterious voice that spear could have pierce my heart.

[Sheila] “Gale your arm!”

[Gale] “it's alright, it just a graze. Now get away from here!”

[Sheila] “Huuuh? Graze? Who are you kidding! Look at all the blood coming out of your arm! Let me see it.”

[Gale] “We have no time for that! Damn!”

Suddenly the monster comes out and attacked with its spear towards me.

I barely able to changed its course to my right.

[Sheila] “Gale!”

[Gale] “Run Sheila!! I'll distract it!”

I didn't look at her and see if she ran because I'm busy dodging it spear.

[Gale] “Oi! Damn monster! Slow down will you!”

This thing is too fast. Sooner or later I will get hit, I hope she run away.

I glimpse to my back if she's gone.

Good she's gone.

[Gale] “Ugly Bastard! Come at me!”

As if understanding what I said , it thrusted it's spear again. Noticing it, I jump back but it just flew forward and thrust it's spear again. This time I dodge to my left and tried to hit its wing but then-

[Sheila] “Watch out! Take this!”

I heard Sheila's voice then noticed the imp’s spear about to hit me in the head and suddenly Sheila threw something at the imp and hits it's head. Thank to that I avoided my death by crouching and I swing my weapon sideways to its stomach.

It let go of the spear but still flying. With no weapon it become less dangerous so I hurriedly hit it's wing to take the it's ability to fly. After hitting its wing It fell to the ground. Without hesitation, I hit its head three times smashing It but not before letting out a loud screech.

[Imp] “Kraaaaaaaaaaaa!”

I ignore the ear piercing screech and continued hitting it until its dead.

[Gale] “haa haa haa. Damn monster. Aargh! My arm!”

After the battle my arm throbs in pain again.

[Sheila] “Gale !”

Sheila clearly worried run to me

[Gale] “Yo Sheila. Thanks for backup-“

Guess what! I got interrupted again.

*Slap*

[Gale] “ouch! Why did you slap me”

[Sheila] “What do you think your doing! I thought we're supposed to run! Your not supposed to fight it! And with an injury too!”

[Gale] “Hmm? What's this? Worried about me?”

I said to her while grinning

[Sheila] “Of course I am!”

That answer caught me off guard and blushed.

Don't tell me! She finally fall for me!

[Sheila] “I haven't repay you yet for saving me.”

Ah. Repaying is it? Haaaaaa. I sigh on my mind.

[Gale] “Don't worry about repaying me. You just save me didn't you?”

[Sheila] “Yes but you save me twice. More importantly your arm!”

[Gale] “My arm? Don't worry. It doesn't hurt that much.”

[Sheila] “What do you mean it doesn't hurt! Your bleeding so much!”

I pulled my handkerchief in my pocket and give it to Sheila.

[Gale] “Here. Can you please help me bandage it with these?”

[Sheila] “Yes!”

She gladly answer.

[Sheila] “There! The bleeding stop.”

[Gale] “Thank you”

After she tie it up, I thank her.

[Sheila] “No worries”

She replied while smiling.

[Gale] “Now the-“

[???] “Raaaaaawwrr”

[Gale] “Not again!”

[Sheila] “What is it now?”

We said and stand

[Gale] “I think I know. That guy came back after hearing the screeching of the imp.”

[Gale] “No choice. Let's run!”

I don't think I want to fight that monster.

We run to the front door because we heard the growl to the back door.

[Sheila] “Is it the monster that chase you'd before?”

[Gale] “Yeah. The hellhound”

When we reach the front door

[Sheila] “What is this?”

What greeted us are smoke rising from different directions.

[Gale] “Probably that monsters are attacking there too.”

Then from afar

[Gale] “Isn't that the floating person we saw earlier?”

I pointed on our front.

[Sheila] “Is that a monster to? Wait isn't it coming our way?”

The figure suddenly disappear and appears above us.

[Gale] “What?”

[Sheila] “Let's go back!”

[Hellhound] “Raaaaaawwrr!”

The Hellhound roared inside the house

[Gale] “This way!”

I pulled her to our left but suddenly the figure pointed to where we are running to and something came out of the ground. A monster came out. It got a cow head, muscled human body doubled my size about 380cm and holding an axe on its right hand.

[Minotaur] “Mooooooooar!”

[Gale] “Minotaur!”

[Sheila] “This way!”

Sheila grab my right hand and pulled me to the opposite direction then I notice again the floating figure pointing to the direction we are running to and guest what! Another monster comes out, human head with one eye and muscled human body with four hand each one holding a spike wooden club and a his height is on par with the Minotaur.

[Cyclops] “Kaaaaaaaaaar!”

[Sheila] “Where are this monsters coming from? And they making weird growl as well!”

[Gale] “Cyclops this time? * Tch* that floating guy is sort of summoning them!”

[Sheila] “Summoning?”

[Gale] “where ever he pointed to, monster came out! Actually his finger glows!”

[Sheila] “Glows? Don't tell me it's his fault when we crash? The thing that blocked the way is a monster he summoned?”

[Gale] “Looks like it.”

While we're talking we are backing away from the monsters, trapping us on the Middle of them and the monster slowly make their way to us.

[Gale] “This is bad, Really bad!”

I felt Sheila's hand gripping my hand tighter.

[Sheila] “Is this the end? Are we gonna die?”

She said with hands trembling and eyes wanting to pour many tears.

What do I say to her? “Don't worry leave it to me!” Kind of words? I'm not exactly capable of doing saying that, with my left hand I can barely move. Even if it's alright I don't think I have a chance with this three monsters and one weird floating guy with who knows what kind of power.

Damn! I will take the chance!

I removed Sheila's hand on my right hand and threw my weapon up into the air thinking they will look at it ever for a second, the monsters are pretty stupid after all. Then I grab again Sheila's hand and start running under the weird floating guy with mysterious power than the monster with slashing, smashing and biting power.

Then suddenly after reaching under it, it shot something to the both of us. After noticing it I pulled Sheila forward to get her away from the range of the thing shot to her. As for me, with no time to dodge the thing that shot to me. I sacrifice my

[Sheila] “Gale!”

[Gale] “Aaaaaaaahh!”

I sacrifice my left arm.

Aahhhh it's burning! Damn really hurt! what was that! Some sort of flame that cut and burn things! It cleanly cut of my arm! And burned it too! Shit!

[Gale] “Aaahhh! Damn that guy have too many tricks up his sleeves!”

[Sheila] “Gale! Gale! Why did you do that! Why did you save me again !”

Sheila run back to me with tears pouring out of her eyes and gripping my clothes.

[Gale] “Sheila don't cry. If I didn’t save you, you could have got yourself hurt.”

[Sheila] “We don't have a chance and you know it! You bet everything with that last run didn't you?! We are surrounded *hic* we are gonna die and you know that too *hic*

Sheila..

I hug her

[Gale] “I know that this is the end but still, I don't want you to die. I will do anything to save you.”

[Sheila] “Why? Why do you want to save me? I always ignore you and treated you badly *hic*”

[Gale] “Even so, just seeing you and being near you is enough for me.”

After I say that she hug me.

And I also noticed the monster closing in, damn monster can't you see we're having a drama here?

[Sheila] I'm sorry for ignoring and treating you badly.”

The monster closing in

[Gale] “It's alright and I'm sorry too, looks like big bro can't protect you.”

I told her with the monster decided to join in.

[Three monsters Roar] “Roooooooar!”

[Gale] “Goodbye”

[???] “Nooo!

Suddenly white light surrounded us.
