A formless strenght started pushing back the crushing weight arrassing the trio. This strenght of the same nature then the pressure exerced by luna was coming from the body of the three youth. Indeed, the obscession of chihiro, the stubborness of daisuke and the kindness of hikaru under the threat of this extrem situation dug out of them a might that they themselves were not aware of. Though, even then the combined power of the three wasn't a match for luna's, only just able to give them breathing room.

At this sight luna had a complex expression on her face. Like she said earlier the life in the magic world was many time cruelier than on earth. By sudjeting the three to her spiritual pressure, she wanted to let them experiment for themselves a portion of the durness of this world. If they were able to endure and use this pressure to awakened their own it would demonstrate their suitability and determination to live there.

If on the contrary the lost consciousness, it would mean that they should give up on trying to become mages fr they would only get killed meaninglessly or become mediocre mages without futures. Seeing this luna smiled faintly and said" please do forgive my rude manners from before, its one of the quickest and safest way to unlock the spiritual force in an individual. There woulf of course have been no adverse effect had you failed, beside getting knocked out and waking up without memories of anything supernatural."

gesturing to the still sleeping taru she pursued "and that include this dear brother of mine of course." This declaration made the three of them pale slightly at the idea imaginating losing the memories of their friend that was so much more than that.

Looking at the clock across the room luna finished by saying, "If you have anymore question, do ask taru. This periode is almost finished and i still have to prepare the neccessary documents confirmating your admission."

She then shooed them all from her office, including the just awaken taru. Who even while looking like half asleep was maneuvering expertly through the halls of the school like he made them. Finally the four found themselves in a wide room alike a fancy diner chamber for wealthy peoples. Taru lead them to one of the blue transparent table and seat them there.

As soon, four holographic image appeared before them with a list of dish for them to choose from.

Too tired to feel surprised anymore chihiro asked listlesly "i thought it was suposed to be magical fantaisy, not sci-fi "

"Why should a magic world tied to earth be behind it in technology, in particular if there is a time dilation of 1 to 5 like now." replied indifferently taru while browsing the list and comanding some steak and coca as drink. " well, it's true that because of the war and the focuse on magic the technology if far from what it could be." he added while starting to eat the meat that feel from the ceiling along with the cutlery.

"Wait, what ?" Asked daisuke " the time dilatation? You mean that fives days here are one on earth?"

"Now that i think about it, we still don' know where 'here' is." Added chihiro sagely. Meanwhile hikaru was losing herself in the wide arra of choices provided by the school.

"I guess i never did tell you." Nodding to himself taru looked at the three and said " well for now, eat something. I am pretty sure you didn't get any breakfast and its almost 12h. you also need to recover the mana you used during your awakening."

With that said he returned to his meal. Daisuke and chihiro ad know him long as to know that when he really don't want to do smething, nothing short of a divin intervention can mouve taru as such they swallowed their questions for later and procceded through the menu.

the choice of food was overwhiling. It seemed like every food ever cooked in the world history and then some more were compiled in this. In face of such a diverse selection, chihiro choose the safe option and ordered the same as taru, although with some modification. A small steak and some salade with citrus water. As for daisuke and hikaru who still hadn't decide the give up thinking and ordered two burgers and some fries.

After a good meal that was better than everything they ever ate on earth chihiro finally turned toward taru to talke to him, only to find that this guy was asleep. face palming herself she said to no one " I forgot that he always fall asleep after eating."

Nudging taru awake was could be a long and delicate proccess. However, chihiro had a stressful day and decided to make it better by choosing to do it the fun way. Standin up from her chair she stood before him and then procceded to french kiss him awake. No matter how heavy of a sleeper he was, taru had no choice but to wake from that. Instead of pushing her away, he embrraced her and returned the kiss until she was struggling for air.

Panting slightly and blushing from the gaze of hikaru and daisuke, chihiro hide her face by pressing it against the chest of taru. "Good morning." Said taru while yawning.

"It's already well past morning though" retouted daisuke, with a grin that said 'i saw something good' all the while nudging his own girlfriend, who was trying hard to ignore him with a bright red face.

"ah, that's true ." Nodded taru "Well, i think its time for me to answer yours questions, so shoot."

Refocusing on the matter at hand chihiro, regained her composure, although she still didn't get off taru's knees.

"Right. first of all where is this place?" She asked before clarifying "i mean this world."

Embracing back to his chest shamelessy and resting his shin on her head he answered " This plane is the plane of victoire, discovered by the grand archmage Frederic tirade and another 10 first grades archmages when they tried to banish the gate to the abyss, the gate from which the nightmare come from, away from our plane. Basicaly trying to throw away our problem to the stars. They succeded in ripping open a hole toward this plane ;named victoire in hope for the future victorie against the monsters; and succeded in relocating the entrance of the abyss in there."

"If we are there i guess something want wrong" remarqued hikaru absentmindly while munching some remaining fries.

"correct, turn out that you con't just throw out the monsters created by your emotions. althought they succeed in depacing the gate they also created a permanent connection between this plane and earth. There is also the fact that while the nightmares attack everything in sight they are extremely partial to earth peoples, their progenitors so they would have found their way home one day or the other. So it was decided that the mages would fight here in victoire, while the powerless would remain in the home world giving the situation we have now."

They remained silent for a while proccessing the news informations before Daisuke asked the questions that was on theirs lips since they left the headmaster office.

"What the heck was this aura thingy back then?"

"Mana, spiritual energy, soul force, aura thingy, this power has many name. Basicaly it's the will, the intent of a being."

"intent? What do that mean" asked hikaru confused by the notion.

"It's exactly as it sound. Magic can be resumed by the modeling of reality by the usage of the will. Not everyone can do that, which is why no everyone can become mages. Hhowever if as ordinary peoples get together with a sinle hope and belief, it can overyime have the same effect then or even stronger than magic. That is the power of miracle, of belief. Being a mage mean honing your will and soul to be able of affecting more and more the reality. What happened back then was that before the overwheling pressure of luna, your will to not lose was condensed and strenghten to the point of becoming mana. Even without that you would have had a chance to awakened with time, but the chance of this is minuscule and without guidance your mana would have just collapsed back into regular, if not stronger willpower."

Looking at his watch taru added "Well that's as info dump for today. You will learn the rest in your classes anyway. Luna should have finished with your admission form by now. lets go before the starving students burry us."
