Chapter 3-The Changes

Guess what. I am back again! This time with another chapter of course. Some of you might think I am trolling but maybe I am. Anyway, maybe the hype of starting my new work has not die down just yet and what’s more is that I am bored and have some spare time. Hope to have some feedback from my readers regardless whether my naming sense is bad or whatever so that I can try to improve the story and tune it to a masterpiece level. So, let’s just skip the rants for the meantime and ENJOY!

The Chen clan patriarch, Chen Mu makes his descend to Haiko’s house. It is followed by the clan grand elder also his son, Chen Ling and then the elders of the clan. The light is said to be revolutionary moment for the clan as the divine beast (the White Tiger which one the four trusted men of God which actually no one knew about) predicted this baby that is borne and bath with the light will be prominent figure in the martial arts’ world. What’s more is that he left a marker to identify how terrifying this person will be. The rank is divided into bronze, silver, gold, platinum and then diamond (that will mean pure crystal, transparent light). For each rank there is a sub category there is black version. The rank indicates how many affinity the child has while the black version show that the child has a special magic that occasionally is heredity. For example in Nelson’s case, black gold means that he has three highly or moderate affinity of elements which is quite rare and he stills has the special magic with him. (Note: Haha! Didn’t anticipate that right. The MC didn’t starts off with super op affinities with all of the five elements)

Later did that know that, the system is slightly flawed as Nelson spent more of his time in tuning himself with the water and fire elements. Any martial artists will know the nearer one is towards perfection the harder it becomes. One can imagine if Nelson discards his time and concentrate in attuning himself the rest of the elements ,that will be scary indeed. Of course, God notices the loophole in his subordinate and fixes the flaw.

Of course, there will be a gift that is the removal of the limiters and granting the clan a more superior bloodline of a cultivator as the White Tiger knows that a one-man team can never win and therefore the clan members can be considered his arms and legs to help him in the future.

This gift has of course help the Chen clan members to elevate at least a level or the entire realm. That was not all, the White Tiger’s seal breaks out and the atmosphere is fill with abundance of chi energy and countless priceless plants for alchemy grew in the garden.

Do not forget that the limiter do of course has some effect on this destined child. Nelson has reached level 5 of the intermediate realm and have gained 15% affinity for the earth and wind element.

The clan members are all happy but all except one person, Chen Ling. It is understandable as Chen Ling, he himself is just one step to be the clan leader only to be snatched away by a newborn baby as it is stated by the clan rules that all clan members must paved way for the child and be given the highest authority.

Due to that reason, Haiko’s position is elevated as well. A jump from a mere branch member to a clan elder by-passing the main member position which these two position is hardly attainable by any branch member. However, what can they do about it.

With that a huge movement happen in the Chen clan. Haiko being a clan elder. He and his family are moving toward the central location of the clan’s residence. Due to the golden light phenomena, Nelson is named as Chen Jin.

Nevertheless, this event has caused a rift. A hidden conflict as two fractions begin to emerge as clan elders have to take sides. Some elders fear the erosion of their power held as so they sided Chen Ling and the older and traditional ones sided Chen Jin. Meanwhile, Chen Mu notices the subtle changes going on with his clan and only sighs as no matter what his son does, he can never succeed as there is this secret that only the clan leader knows about and his son does not about. The secret is indeed terrifying and he cannot do anything about it as he knows somewhere lurks the hidden eyes, presences watching behind the scenes.

These people are ready at any moment and Chen Mu knows that when the time is ripe or at a dangerous moment, the will make their appearances. Just thinking of trying to disobey their orders or to retaliate causes shiver down the spine of Chen Mu. Who are they exactly?

Of course, they are the previous patriarchs of the clan. Wait a minute, it clearly did not make any sense as every Chen clan members knows that these people are supposed to be death as countless time has passed. How did they survived? Well the White Tiger has ‘curse’ every retired clan patriarch. With that they are practically an immortal granted that they do not suffer serious injury that can cause death. The price for the never aging ‘curse’ is that they are not allowed to leave the place and their cultivation speed is greatly reduced until the child is borne.

One might think to have like 0.1% of your previous cultivation speed and being lock is a bad deal but if you think in another way, one does not need to care about trying reach the next realm to extend their age limits as upon reaching the next realm, one’s life span is extended. Imagine even with 0.1% of your previous speed but you have cultivated for thousands of years, you will still be quite strong and the current situation applies to previous patriarchs.
