When Blane and the girls woke up he saw the sun hadn’t set yet through his window, they were still naked and slowly began moving so they could begin getting dressed. It was a sight he appreciated very much. And he wondered just how that had happened so fast.
“Is everyone okay?” He asked them all.
Regalia stared at him. “Well yeah, it’s not like you broke us or anything. But damn I needed that bad.”
“So did I, I haven’t had such fun since before the plague.” Kana replied.
Grace looked crestfallen and he stared at her as he placed a hand on her shoulder, “What’s wrong? Did I do something wrong Grace?”
“No, no nothing like that. You were perfect for me, you and Regalia were amazing. I have been celibate since my friend passed a year ago. She was my first…and she was my only until now.”
That threw him for a loop. He wasn’t expecting her to have only been with one person, especially when she was such a good looking woman. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t aware of that.” He told her, hoping she understood his sincerity at the loss of her friend.
“It’ll be okay. Let’s just get dressed and try to find some food.”
There was a knock at the door and he walked over to open the door and found Yumiko standing on the other side of the door. “The King and Queen want to see you as soon as you are…well decent. They will be in the dining hall awaiting you all.” She turned and left the doorway, but not before giving them all disdainful looks as if she was superior to them. That grated on his nerves because he knew people like her back home, and he hated how they all acted. Maybe he’d find a way to turn her frown upside down and get her to at least treat them with decency at least.
“I wonder what the hell that was about.” He said turning around to face the women.
“Don’t be so hard on her, she hasn’t had anyone since her lover was killed in battle.” Kana said as she pulled her top tighter to support her breasts. She walked up to him and linked her arms around his neck so she could pull him down to her lips and pressed her lips against his. “That was great earlier, I hope we can do that again.” She said smiling at him before starting to walk out the door.
He watched her ass as she sauntered out the door and then turned back to Regalia, “Well, I hope you will want a repeat performance too.”
“Calm yourself, that was a lot of fun, but I don’t know if I like you enough to want a relationship with you. Sex would be fun, but that’s as far as it goes. Can you handle that?”
Blane stared at her for a second and thought about it, surprised she was waiting patiently. “I’ll be honest with you, I don’t know. Last night was a ton of fun, I don’t understand why it just all seemed to click that way, but I enjoyed every second of it. But I’m not into casual hookups, I want a real relationship. So if Kana wants a real relationship like she suggested then I’m all for that. But otherwise I don’t want to just be a hookup and leave kind of guy.” He noticed how her eyes sparkled and he wondered if he’d said the right thing, or the wrong thing. “Did I say something?”
Regalia stared at him and just smiled before walking away and following Kana.
Grace nodded and grasped his chin pulling him close, “You’re doing well so far, I’m sure if you keep it up you’ll end up with them for your harem.”
“Harem? That would be a little strange wouldn’t you think? I mean it’s not like I’m some Adonis.” He thought about her tone for a second and said “Wait, your tone just changed, what the hell’s going on?”
“Where I am from we have many partners, both men and women. But here that is a luxury that they have not had for a long while. I was told by my priestess that the next man I fell for would become a great and powerful sorcerer and that he would have a harem of women who would aide in his rise to power. You are that sorcerer.”
He stared at her for a second with wide eyes and began laughing. “I’m no superpowered sorcerer! Hell I don’t even understand why I have this little bit of magic that I do have.”
“Because you are to sit on the Throne Eternal as the first and last king of our world. You will have a group of women who are powerful enough to aide your ascent to the throne, who can become more powerful if you join with them. And I am to be one of them.”
“So…in order to have the woman I want I’m supposed to become this powerful king? And you’re sure I need a harem to do this?”
“So, what you’re saying is that you wouldn’t want a harem?”
“I mean…okay look if I’m being honest almost every single man has thought about that. A group of women just waiting to serve him sexually? That’s like a dream come true.”
“Then play your cards right and you’ll have them both.”
“So, you want to be in a harem with me?”
“For you. I want to help you become who you are destined to be, and my priestess has never been wrong about a prophesy before.”
He considered it a little and nodded. “Okay, let’s say I agree to this, what would I need to do?”
“That is the beauty of it. You won’t need to do much at all because you are already doing what you need to do. You have begun to win their hearts, and in doing so they will want to become members of your harem and you will become their king once you sit on the Throne Eternal.” She got up from the bed and reached down to cup his member making him shudder as he remembered the pleasure of the night before. “Do what you must my King, but let us not get ahead of ourselves. You need to play this as a political game so you can gain what knowledge and power you can so you need to work with me to find the throne and claim your birthright in this world.”
He watched her as she walked out of the room and he wondered how he was going to sit on that throne. And why she said it was his birthright. Reaching down he felt his hard cock and sighed, he didn’t have the time to take care of himself now so he’d have to make sure at least one of them came to his bed that night. He wasn’t sure if he wanted it to be Grace or Kana, he doubted Regalia would be up for it.
----------------------------------------
Blane caught up with his three —he wasn’t sure what word to use— women standing in front of the closed double doors that led to the throne room. Walking up to them he smiled and touched Kana’s shoulder as he asked her “Are you ready?”
She nodded and the others nodded in concert as the guards at the sides of the doors allowed them entrance into the room. They walked in and Blane noticed that both the King and Queen sat on similar thrones and that the room had a more homey feel than it had before. He also noticed more guards were inside the room and he wondered what had happened to warrant that.
“And here are our heroes!”
He looked at the Queen, Lady Galantine, for a moment as she brimmed with excitement and adoration and he felt a twinge of emotion in his chest as well. He’d helped reunite her with her husband whom she had believed was long dead, how often could one say they had reunited two lovers in such a way.
The group bowed and he noticed that Grace seemed to bow only slightly less than the others. “My Lady you summoned us.” He said as he stood and stared at them both. Blane had watched enough period shows to know at least a little on how to address members of a court, he still couldn’t believe it had come to this though. But if he played along he hoped that would help him get back to his own world.
“Yes, we wanted to find some way to thank you for what you’ve done, reuniting us and bringing a bit of peace back to the land. There were so many women who were able to bring their husbands and sons home because of your magic, I cannot fathom how to repay you for that gift.”
“Nor can I.” Her husband said as he stood. “I thought all was lost, I thought I would never see my family again, nor my people. And yet here I stand because of you four brave heroes!” The guards snapped to attention at that and Blane felt uneasy. “I fear there is no way to repay you for this amazing gift, however I did think of something to start.” He walked down to their level as he spoke. “When my wife did her best to fill me in on what I had missed she informed me that it was said you were to sit on the Throne Eternal and it sparked something in my mind. When I was a thrall I had overheard the Non talking and they were searching for the Throne as well, but they searched to destroy it. If my memory is correct there were a few groups dispatched around the country to find it. None ever returned with clues to the thrones whereabouts though.”
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“So this thing is a weapon then?”
“Some sort of weapon, yes. It’s unclear how it works or what it can really do. But they were worried enough that they sent a lot of men looking for it. In fact I think that might be why they were only attacking the men, I wonder if a woman can sit on the throne, or activate it, or whatever they would have to do.”
“Which means that they were targeting the men because if one of your people were able to sit on the throne then they’d have control of it. If it’s powerful enough that they want it then we need to get our hands on it, maybe it can send me home and show me how to bring my friends home.”
“You could always stay.” It was Kana’s voice that reached him and made him turn. “You don’t have to go back to your world unless you want to.” Her eyes were sad, she almost couldn’t look him in the eyes.
But Blane caught her eyes, stared into them and he knew he was going to be lost in them if he looked any more. He closed his eyes and did his best to steel himself against the thoughts waring in his mind. If he stayed there was a damned good chance he could have the woman he wanted most, but if he stayed there was also an equally good chance his friends wouldn’t make it home and he would be abandoning them to wherever they were. if they were even alive at all. No, he couldn’t think like that. They were alive, they had to be.
“I will think about it.” He promised her. “I need to make sure my friends are safe, after how I left them…” he closed his eyes as the memory came back in harsh focus, “I need to know if they are hurt because of me.”
“Kana dear, if Blane wants to return to his world that is up to him. But I do think you should all work together to find this throne before the Non do.” Lady Galantine said. “However I do wish to caution you Blane, either way you will be leaving one life behind and you will never be the same. Think long and hard about the decision.”
“I agree, in fact I would like to officially send you four on that very quest, and no matter where it takes you I hope it will bring you home.” The king said.
Blane stared at them all for a moment as he tried to separate the thoughts spinning around in his mind. He was going on a real quest, given to him by a real king. If he succeeded then he would become a king himself and hopefully be able to return home. But doing so meant he would lose the one woman he’d been in love with for so long. It took a few minutes before everyone was staring at him awaiting his response.
“We’ll go.”
Just those two simple words would bind him to the quest, and he hoped and prayed it was the right thing to do.
“Then you’ll leave after breakfast, that should give us enough time to have some provisions readied for you.” The king said.
“The cooks will get you all some food together, is there anything you’d like to request Blane?” The queen asked.
He nodded, “Just no nuts for me please. I can’t have it touching any of my food.”
“No nuts touching your food? That sounds a little odd.”
“I’m allergic to them so if I eat them and I can’t get to my EpiPen quick enough my throat closes up and I’ll die.” They all looked at him as if he were growing a second head and he said. “The ‘Pen is a medical device that delivers a shot of epinephrine to my body to combat the allergy, if I get it in time I’ll survive. But the down side is that it’s a one use device and I don’t think there’s a pharmacy around here I can go to for a refill.”
“We do have an Apothecary that might be able to give you some herbs or roots to combat the illness.” Regalia interjected.
“It would be a good idea to stop there on your way out of the city, to pick up some potions for your trip.” The queen said.
“True, we could use some antidotes and some medicine in case one of us gets hurt.”
“Let’s just eat first and then we can go get packed, sound good?” Blane asked them and they nodded. He sighed as he realized it was going to be a long trip.
----------------------------------------
Once breakfast was finished they went to their rooms to pack their stuff. Being new there all Blane had to pack was his cards. The cooks in the kitchens had given each of them a medium sized bag of hard cheeses and bread, some fruits and nuts for everyone but him. He’d even asked the cook if the nuts had touched any of the food she’d given him and she’d adamantly said no.
“My King. I have a gift for you.” Grace said as she walked up to him with her hands wrapped around a cherrywood box. Gently he took it in his hands and she said. “While you were sleeping off the fatigue from the battle I picked this out from the blacksmith in town. He said that it would be a good starter blade and that it should be easy enough for you to get to know.”
He stared at the blade and couldn’t begin to describe how he felt getting a weapon as a gift. It felt strange, but also good. She was giving him another way to defend himself should he need it, she was clearly thinking ahead and he loved her for it. Was that the right word? Love? He thought so, she had done a lot for him and asked nothing in return except that he treat her the way she wished to be treated. Didn’t that amount to something good? Didn’t that mean he was enough for her?
“Is everything okay my King?” She looked worried now, her smile downturned now.
“Yes, it’s just—I’ve never been given a weapon as a gift before and I love it.”
“I’m glad you do. I was not sure what you’re reaction would be to such a gift.”
Blane wrapped his arms around her and held her tight thanking her for the knife. It wasn’t a particularly beautiful one, the blade was normal looking, the handle almost boring in appearance. But it would serve it’s purpose well if he had to use it. He looked to his belt and took the length of cord that came in the box and tied the sheath to his belt so it would be secure enough when he walked.
“Is there anything else I can get for you my king?” Graced asked him. Her voice was soft and pleasant to the ear. She walked up to him as he was looking through his cards and pressed a hand to his back, “Is everything in there?”
“I think so. There are a few cards that I don’t remember having though.” He rifled through the deck and pulled one out with artwork he had never seen before; doves flew en masse towards a person in the center of a battlefield, there was smoke and fire all around and the person stood bathed in silver-gold light. “This is something I would have remembered, the artwork is exquisite and the name alone would have triggered my memory, Heavenly Light, not really a name you forget when the artwork is this beautiful.”
“That is odd, but you are positive that this is new?” She asked him and when he nodded she smiled “Then maybe the world is making new cards for you? Maybe your magic is getting stronger and you’ll be able to make new cards yourself.”
Blane looked at her a second and nodded, “That makes sense. If using magic is like using a muscle then it stands to reason that the more I use it the stronger it becomes. These new cards must be showing up as my levels increase…which means the more I grind the stronger I’ll become.”
“What does grind mean?”
“It means a lot of things, but the main thing is it’s a gamer term meaning that we are going after low level quests to get more XP to level up faster.”
“But…how does that work here?”
“I haven’t figured that out yet. Maybe it happened when I defeated those thralls.”
Blane thought back to the battle that seemed like a lifetime ago, when he’d used the cards and how he’d felt. Casting so many cards really took it out of him, but it was a necessary evil to stop the Non and their thralls. But then afterwards there was the feeling he’d had right before they all had sex. That warm feeling that felt as if he were getting extra energy.
“I think I know when the leveling up happened.” He stated definitively and smiled at her as she looked him over. “It happened right before we all had sex. I had this feeling like I had renewed energy, a newfound vigor if you will. So I’m willing to bet that was when it happened.”
“Would it wait that long though? It was a day after the battle.”
“True, but that was the only time I noticed a feeling of power, and every video game I’ve played showed the character getting a huge boost when he powered up and it always felt to me like they would have felt so much power. Almost like Superman.”
She stared blankly at him and just sighed. “So we need to keep getting you to have sex or we need to keep getting you into battles with the thralls? Which is it?”
“Both ideally.”
Grace huffed at him and walked over to push him back against the bed. “Whoah what are you doing?” He asked as he fell back onto the bed and she climbed on top of him.
“If I understand your words correctly I am giving you experience.”
She reached down and pulled his hardening cock from his pants guiding him to her warm entrance. Sliding her shorts aside she impaled herself on him throwing her head back as a moan escaped her lips. She leaned forward and kissed his lips as she lifted herself until just his tip remained in her, and thrust herself back onto him taking all of his cock.
They moaned together as he began thrusting towards her, his hands fighting with her top as he tried to remove it so he could taste her nipples. Her thrusting matched his and together they found a rhythm that made them both moan in pleasure as he finally got her top off and took one then the other nipple into his mouth. His tongue laved over the hardening peaks as she thrust her breasts into his face reveling in the pleasure of it all.
Pulling his mouth away he said “I’m not going to last much longer.”
“Good.” She replied haughtily as she quickened her thrusts and leaned even farther forwards pushing her breasts into his face and forcing him fully onto his back. Grace’s breasts smothered him as she rode him like a prize stallion, her hands holding his face so he wasn’t able to move.
Blane tried to push her hands away so he could move her and breathe but she was insistent, and when she took his wrists and held them just above his head he understood what she wanted. She wanted to be in control, she wanted to be the Dominant in the bed. He let her hold him and tried to calm himself as she cried out, moaning his name as her orgasm rocked her and he felt his cock grow harder as his closed in. She ground herself against him milking her climax for all it was worth as he thrust quicker into her. He couldn’t say anything even if he’d wanted to, his cock throbbed and erupted as rope after rope of cum filled her wet pussy.
She collapsed against him as he kept thrusting into her, expending his seed as the pleasure washed over him. “Did you like that baby?” He asked her, she just nodded and he felt that same familiar feeling as if he were leveling up and he wondered how it had happened so quickly.
The feeling washed over him and he felt a renewed sense of energy and power. He grinned at her but she shook her head, “I cannot go again. My body feels weakened for some reason.”
Blane noticed the look on her face and the weak tone in her voice. It scared him and he rolled gently so she was safely on the bed as he pulled his cock from her, still rock hard. “Stay here and let me get someone to help you.”
“The physician, go ask for the physician.” they were the last words she said before her eyes rolled back in her head and she passed out on the bed.
Blane could feel his heart pounding as fear lanced through his blood and he ran from the room yelling for a physician.
