-Chapter Twenty-Seven Point-Five-
Intermission
As the heir of Kanaria, one of the only two Archduchies of the Farrien Kingdom, a small nation to the South of the Sacred Continent, Aelius Kanaria was surprisingly weak compared to his peers. The life he led was uneventful and disappointing at Farrien's most prestigious Magus Academy; Sky Academy. One day however, he had a fateful encounter. It was ordinary in all ways on the surface, but to him, it marked the turning point of his life. The day he met Alea in the Headmaster's office was the day it all begin - the hellish nightmare that was to come. After the two split ways, uncertain to ever meet again, Aelius quickly transformed from the shame of the Nobility to a genius on par with the Holy Knights. With no path at the Academy for him, he became an Adventurer at the Headmaster's recommendation and joined a Mercenary Group. During his time adventuring, he faced crises of death many times, but none of them would compare to what was to come.
Years passed by and one day, he coincidentally stumbled upon Alea's dying body, as if it had been Fate Ordained. The threat finally barred its teeth, Alea's killer invaded the Continent. Overtaken by grief and rage, scarred by the loss of an entire future that should have been but could not be, the hunter was born in that very moment.
His struggle against the invading races, almost like trying to resist Fate itself, never ended. Each day only tormented him further and ultimately, he won the battle but lost the war. The invaders were driven off, but at what cost? Too many had died. Too much blood had been shed, and no one remained but himself. What had been the point of winning, when there was nothing left worth saving? No home to go back to. No family to return to. Revenge proved to be all but fruitless. And that was the last he remembered. The single, bitter regret, that he had led a meaningless life of suffering and loneliness, was all that remained.

And then suddenly, he opened his eyes anew. He had returned to the day the hellish nightmare had began. It was a chance sent from the Goddess, what else could it be? He abandoned every pointless thing he had on his hands - the position of the Heir, the peaceful family life that awaited him, the toxic Academy, he left it all behind. He quickly hatched a grand plan. His knowledge and experience from past life, he will take full advantage of them and speed-run his way to the top of the power scale.
After leaving the Academy, he had already set his destination in mind. Because of his memories from his future life, he finally knew the reason why his magic was so inferior to all of his peers. He was poisoned by the Aerianne Archduchess, and she also plotted the death of his family. Before any of the terrible things can come to pass like it did in the past life, he's going to nip the flower in the bud.
Aelius was already a seasoned, stone-hearted killer. He won't even think twice about killing the Aerianne Archduchess, if it could save his family. Though his plan was simple, more and more strange events kept getting in the way. Originally he intended to travel alone, but that all changed when he strangely encountered Lia, and decided to keep her by his side. Soon, Aria Aerianne had joined his party as well, until finally, he encountered Saki.
Though it was unexpected, there are no changes to his intentions. In fact, perhaps he can propel his plans even further forward? His original idea was to reach the main bunker, far further up North of the Farrien Kingdom, acquire the proprietary Saint technology he needed, and then immigrate to the Empire to found his own organisation together with his sister-in-cause, Tristia the Sad Saintess. Because only one of him can do so much, he needs allies. And because of his future knowledge, he knows who to recruit, as well as how to recruit them.
As the Chosen Re-Ordained, he will monopolise any spoils he can, and break the cursed, wretched Fate that awaits him.
