According to the most agreeable versions of legends, it is believed that the place soon to be called CANDEMARO was once a hostile land enveloped in a heavy blanket of Darkness. The ground erupts violently, carving rivers of molten earth everywhere. The air is thick from smog and the poison from these fumes made the ground unfit for vegetation to grow and flourish. The sea is murky and acidic, hostile to those both who dwell above and below it. This environment is not the most ideal, yet manifestations of what people call "The Evils" flourish in it-- engaging in disastrous fighting-- the aftermath of which stands against the test of time. These Evils come in various shapes and forms; some slither, others gallop or swim. Many roar, but there are also some who covet the anonymity brought about by Darkness.
It is said that the cacophony of destruction has attracted the attention of a heavenly being, who the people of CANDEMARO revered as K'raas, the Old One. He saw the potential of the land and decided it is most suitable to be blessed with life rather than continue to be destroyed by The Evils. As such, the Old One sent his four children down to earth to fight The Evils.
Each child possesses a unique ability and personality and most of their exploits during this time are still told in stories across communities. The divine children are successful in their endeavors, sealing The Evils they cannot kill in a prison deep within the mountains. They were successful, but their battles was long and the time away from their parent had diminished their ability to rejoin him in the heavens. As such, the four children focused their attention into giving life to the earth. Itowa, the second oldest of the four, gifted the earth with an amicable sky, harnessing the sun's gentle rays, and created the wind flow that continues to blow across the country until now. Halli, the third, known for her viciousness in battle, brought fertility to the once arid ground. With Mira, the youngest's help, they drove the poison out of the earth and water and blessed the land with animals of all shapes and sizes. The oldest, Mael, has ensured the security of the land as his siblings work. This process took more of their divine energy, but they continued to give the newfoundland with one more gift: the humans; some of which inherited their extraordinary abilities.
Mira and Mael's union gave birth to the most exceptional humans and the first tribe: the Bedas, who are known as the people who received Mael's shapeshifting abilities, as well as his high intellect. They are known to travel across the purified earth, searching for knowledge.

On the other hand, Itowa, Halli, and Mira gave birth to humans who inherited their ability to manipulate the earthly elements and manifest it from their own bodies. They are called the Encantos.
The third tribe is composed of humans who gained Halli's passion, creativity, and thirst for fighting. They are called the Digmas and they are known to develop all sorts of invention—from the wheel—to all the toys of war. They greatly revered Halli and her code of warrior.
Those who did not inherit any gifts from their divine parents formed the last tribe called Usor. Despite their lack of any formidable ability, the Usors were able to harness the energy of what was left from the battle of the gods and use it to their advantages. Inventing the earliest form of Sorcery, Usors are known for their desire to improve on their own arts.
Between the death of their divine parents and the establishment of the country of CANDEMARO, something groundbreaking had happened that caused the downfall of the Bedan civilization. What it is, and how each tribe is involved continues to be a mystery, even after 400 years since the country's establishment. Only one discovered inscription bears more questions than answers:
"When the Adonai rises, so am I..."
In an attempt to recover the lost records and missing pieces of the country's history, the Intellectual Society of Solferino (ISoS) formally opened the extensive collection of historical information via numerous expeditions to ancient sites about 250 years ago. This prompted the competition and race over discovering ancient artifacts and vital information.
Led by the prominent academics called Mavens who hailed from different tribes, previous expeditions have unraveled interesting bits of information and have unlocked many probable sites, yet many continue to be overlooked due to its unknown dangers; one of which is the dense Rainforest in the west. Even though the Encantos of the Western Capital Hele reveres the Rainforest, little of its secrets have been revealed to them...
... until now.
