A week had passed since the start of the academy.
In the village academy, the academy elder talked with confidence and composure about his knowledge about the Gu and this world. In front of him were 57 students, seated and listening attentively. Among them were Mo Bei and Fang Yuan.
Leaning against the window at the corner was Gu Yue Fang Yuan, who was bent over the desk sleeping soundly.
"Look, he's still sleeping," someone whispered.
"He's been sleeping continuously for a week, yet he's still not awake?" Someone cut in.
"There's more. I heard that he was up all night, wandering about at the edge of the village."
"There's been people who've seen it more than once, apparently he holds a wine-jar at night, dead drunk outside. Luckily these few years the village surroundings have been cleared clean, so it's safer." The fellow schoolmates whisper here and there.
Only Mo Bei knew the real situation. But he kept quiet. It was beneficial for him if Fang Yuan wasted his remaining Primeval stones for the time being. Then he could maybe lend or provide his stones to Fang Yuan in return for some minor help and to earn his favor. He knew that favors didn't matter much to Fang Yuan and he would most probably not return anything back, but this could help him proceed with his plans smoothly.
Mo Bei knew that killing of a Jia clan member Jia Jin Sheng by Fang Yuan in the original novel led to a series of disastrous events which could now be prevented by him. This also gave Fang Yuan to consider other opportunities to improve his strength.
For the past week, his physique had been improving due to continuous usage of White Boar Gu for 15 minutes every day. He was confident in facing Fang Yuan one to one if other Gu worms were not used. This way he could also prevent getting exhorted in the future by Fang Yuan when he become class president or vice president. But that was not his goal. He had chosen to hide the White Boar gu for the time being.
Without knowing it, the class was almost over. The academy elder finally informed, "You will select a Gu worm from the treasury today. Whoever can refine their vital gu first will be rewarded a generous sum of 20 primeval stones."
Beside the academy was a Gu room. This room was a mysterious room. Inside it contained many different types of Gu worms. Mo Bei directly chose Moonlight Gu without much thought since he knew the most about this gu.
These Gu were crystalline and shaped like a crescent; it was like a piece of blue quartz. Against the backdrop of the silver dish, the Gu gave off a quiet and beautiful feeling.

He went to his home and started refining the Gu with his Rank 1 middle stage primeval essense. It was effect of Liquor worm. Liquor worm upgrades the quality of primeval essense by one stage when primeval essence is entered into it.
He easily refined the Moonlight Gu within few hours using 20 Primeval stones. Even A Grade talent would take days to do so but Mo Bei did it within hours with the use of more Primeval stones and middle stage essense.
Then he started using White Boar Gu. He had used it for 15 minutes every day for past week. He would feed it pork that purchased from the market using 10 Primeval stones. His grandfather allowed such expenses since he felt that Mo Bei is working hard in his cultivation and need to relax with good food. He didn't suspect Mo Bei would have White Boar Gu.
Mo Bei set the White Boar Gu aside after it's use, and started planning for the future. However, he kept everything he thought of in his mind and didn't dare to note anything down, lest some wisdom path gu master or even Heaven's will may figure out things he didn't want anyone to know.

"Now that I look back at it, it was probably not a coincidence that it was banned at that point. Something probably happened which led to author of Reverend Insanity not write it further. But what happened and why? I definitely don't believe that the authorities would have the power/motive to ban such a novel with so many hidden secrets. If the hidden existence wanted this world to be revealed to the residents of the earth, I believe no power could have stopped him. What's the actual secret?"
"Atleast I have some guesses since I have read Legends of Ren Zu."
"I have a theory that Ren Zu can monitor both the Gu world and Earth. He sent Fang Yuan to the gu world and recorded his experiences and went to Earth and made someone write the story of Fang Yuan in the novel Reverend Insanity. However, is it really Ren Zu who has been transmigrated to our world? Was he somehow the one responsible for sending all the Otherworldly Demons into the Gu World since his end in the Tales of Ren Zu is the starting point for all the humans in the Gu World? How did I actually end up here?"
"It's probably not a coincidence that the author wrote a story about this one otherworldly demon that is Fang Yuan. But why was the same not done for others? What is the exact truth? I can assume that Fang Yuan was born in the past since his recollections of the earth does not include any of the modern technologies. Hence, I am actually brought to the past of Gu World to make some changes. But what changes?"
"If Ren Zu can affect both Earth and Gu World, what does he want? What are his objectives? Has he transcended Rank 9? Can he not directly interfere?"
"The author of Reverend insanity might not be Ren Zu since the author has already started a new novel 'Endless Bloodstone'. Although, I have not read it, I know it has nothing to do with Gu world. Don't tell me it is also based on real world like this. Before I had started reading Reverend Insanity, I had read many novels where the a book came to reality. What is the actual reality? I thought it was only possible in novels.", Mo Bei had a thought that everything he knew back on Earth might be fake or controlled by some higher existence.
(AN : If you didn't get the reference, I was talking about The Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and The Novel's Extra. Both books are good in itself but they can't hold candles to RI.)
"Also, some of the rules of Gu World are strange like lifespan of 100 years. How come everyone has a fixed limit of 100 years at the start? Why were tales like Legends of Ren Zu so widespread that even mortals can access it. It seems like there's a mighty controller behind Gu World others than the Venerables. "
"I would like to believe this is all related to Ren Zu but I am not really sure. "
"About Fang Yuan, he now has one powerup left - his family inheritance, but for that he has to reach Rank 1 middle stage as a Gu master. I wonder how he will do that without Flower Monk Inheritance. Right, I should pass him the White Boar Gu indirectly after I have completely used it so as to not affect the history too much while maintaining my strength to survive."
"I should claim the reward tomorrow morning to avoid suspicions"
