Now standing outside the building, he paused, staring at the building with a blank expression
"Sure had a lot of memories here." He whispered before staring at a sundial.
"No..Late…late…late." Kairos repeated as he began running again.
As he ran through various cuts and roads, he would occasionally get greetings from various people which he would equally reciprocate; he sometimes would even stop to assist some who were in need of one. This was the life in the Pacifica Island.
'The Pacifica Island was just like a bigger version of a neighborhood, in which everyone knew themselves. It was founded by an Ex Captain of a squad in the Adria Faction Leander Eros, my father. A few months after the end of the great war, not long after I was born.
Slowly people who had one way or the other been affected by the war and was in search of a place for convalescence after the war came to the island and slowly the population of the island began to increase and this increased population with togetherness and understanding began increasing the island's versatility and productivity to a point it could be referred to as a single state of its own.
Everyone had played a separate distinctive role to make this feat achievable, even my father who although was and is still the chief of the Island also had to form a band of valorous element manipulators with which he together with them upheld law and order in the island while protecting its residents.
While the Island had grown to the point of being referred to as a state of its own thanks to its various inhabitants, it was actually just a big neighborhood as the inhabitants had some sort of relationship with each other considering at the end of the day they had all come to island due to same cause, so it was normal that everyone in the island at least had an information about the other.'
"Hey child where are you walking off looking so lost?" A voice startled Kairo's thoughts causing him to look towards where he heard it coming from.
"Oh…Mr Lucas." Kairos immediately replied in a startled tone, as he stared at the bulky figure who looked to be in his late fifties holding a hammer and a long flat iron plate.
"I really almost walked past where I had been in a hurry to go because of my lost thought." Kairos whispered, bearing a pitiful smile as he thought about it.
"Lucky you came just right in time…I was already planning on locking up for my second siesta." The man said in a tired tone, as he rubbed his fat belly with a hand and one of his eyes with the other.

"A second siesta? It's not even noon yet," Kairos replied, staring at the blacksmith oddly.
"Kid…when you become the only blacksmith on a developing island, you'd understand my sleeping schedule better." The man replied, as he at same time drew open a drawer which he took out an object wrapped in cloth and handed it to Kairos.
"...Tell your father I had put in a lot of effort on this one, it was formed from a rare grade mana stone after all." The man said with a long yawn afterwards before powerlessly dropping to a chair nearby.
Kairo's eyes immediately opened wide after hearing rare grade mana stone being called.
Mana stones were stones collected from beasts who had absorbed mana, it was usually located in their chest close to its heart and collected after these beasts were killed. The stones were believed to be mana that the beast's body couldn't absorb so it got stored as a stone in its body and a fragment of it could be seen visible on the beast's chest. These stones had been known to give buffs when welded and molded with various tools and weapons.
And as expected each of these stones had a power rank level that went from common mana stones which although is ranked common has nothing in relation to its name as it still gave nice buffs and is not as common as its name implies, it could be easily identified by it's red glow and then the Rare Mana stones with it's yellow glow, Epic Mana stones with it's blue glow and the last rarest and most powerful, The Legendary mana stones that could be identified by it's clear lustre mana stone. The level of mana stones gotten also depended on the beast killed.
So one could understand Kairo's shock when he heard the rare grade mana stone being called, considering he was used to seeing weapons only made from common mana stones which wasn't frequent either.
Kairos, filled with curiosity, wanted to see what buff this rare grade mana stone sword had to its wielder.
"Seems the old man has been chasing bigger dogs eh." Kairos said with a grin and he heaved a sigh to relax himself, he took out the majestic looking sword from the cloth it was wrapped in as he stared at for a while, it's blades had some sort of faint but visible yellow glow. He then in his head wished to know what buff it added.
And just like magic, he heard a soft soothing whisper in his ears:
"Increases the sword's durability by onefold and its wielder's agility and strength by three folds. He repeated as he nodded with an impressed expression. "That's like two buffs for just one stone…as expected of a rare grade mana stone." He praised with a smile and then covered the sword back with its cloth.
"Aight…Mr Lucas, better go-" interrupted by the repeated snoring noises coming from the lifeless looking body of the blacksmith, Kairos let out a chuckle before quietly leaving the workshop so as not to wake the blacksmith.
Immediately, he began his running again, this time with a wrapped sword in his hand. He had decided to not think of anything anymore for now, so as to not repeat the mistake of moving past where he was planning on going because of being lost in these thoughts.
He kept running, greeting a few more people on the way as he ran past them until he got to quite scanty and quiet eerie environment with just one building standing there, which in a sense also looked abandoned.
Standing for a while to catch his breath, he then walked towards the abandoned looking building and knocked on its door, in not less than a few seconds the door opened up revealing a tall figure, his outgrown hair and beards somehow made him look inhuman and his clothes didn't seem to be a better condition too and his eyes although sober, still managed to give a piercing stare.
While He just stood at the door staring at his intruder with indifference and unfamiliarity, Kairos suddenly bore a smile and stared at the man with indifference as though not concerned about his unwelcoming look.
"What?...you are not gonna invite your fellow enthusiast in?" Kairos asked in a calm tone still bearing his smile.
