I was at the bus stop waiting for the bus to get home after a rather stressful day at work. I was casually browsing my phone, reading a random chapter of the manga Naruto. While I was reading, I noticed from the corner of my eye that a truck was speeding towards an oblivious mother and her child.
Just as the truck was about to hit them, my body acted on its own and started to run towards them. I managed to push the pair out of the way before being struck by the truck.
As I was lying on the cold asphalt road with my blood pooling around me, I did not feel any pain, strangely enough. I turned around and looked at the unharmed pair of mother and child. I slowly closed my eyes and smiled.
‘At least I am not going to die for anything…’
As I was slowly losing myself to the darkness, I heard a voice calling beside me.
“Oh shit, I screwed up.”

I slowly opened my eyes and was stupefied. I found myself floating in the darkness.
‘Wasn’t I supposed to be dead? Where am I? This can’t be the afterlife, right?’
Just as I was asking all sorts of questions to myself, a neutral sounding voice sounded out in my head.

“What is this place? Who are you? Did you bring me here?” I questioned the mysterious entity in my head.

I managed to grab hold of a bird plushie of some kind next to me and placed it in my inventory. I opened the inventory interface and saw a 2D bird plushie frozen in one of the grid boxes.

I closed my eyes and tried to sense any sort of energy in my body that I have never felt before on Earth. After about five minutes of trying to sense any sort of ‘energy’ in my body, I felt a pool of warmth slightly above my navel.
‘Finally! Now to move it around my body…’
I tried to move a small portion of the chakra to my right hand. After a few minutes of intense concentration, I managed to see a slight blue glow emanating from my right hand before I became lightheaded.
