Boring.
Boooring.
Boooooring.
Well, spending 50 years alone definitely makes things boring.
I did many things during this time, but if I had to say, the part that progressed the most is definitely my combat experience.
I had a bit of a beef with the Beast that ate Kriya, so I decided to use him for my combat experience. Poor guy was first tortured by getting smashed around with strong cultivation, then getting pummeled by someone with much weaker cultivation (I had sealed my cultivation to improve my Combat Arts.)
Well, I then went around the whole mountain fighting beasts to improve my combat experience, and with my ridiculously overpowered talents, created many footwork skills, fist arts, evasion skills, traversing skills, movement arts, defensive arts, attacking arts, elemental arts... with and without Qi, wherever possible. Only, I hadn't yet begun on alchemy, as I didn't think I would be able to since I haven't had enough time to identify plants and their effects. As for blacksmithing... similar reason. That's why I haven't created Sword Arts and such.
Well, even though I did all that, till now, that only took me five years. The rest forty-five... I spent making my own clone.
Yes, a clone.
During this time, I had been continuously accumulating Qi, to the point I broke through the Grandmaster realm. After Grandmaster, the road of Martial Arts ends, and the road of Cultivation begins.
The first realm was the Transformation Realm, and it was divided into three levels, each with nine ranks: The Body Cleansing Level, The Body Refining Level and Body Restructuring Level. The Qi was first used to cleanse impurities from the body, then to refine the body into the characteristics we want through Qi, and finally to correct any hidden injuries and wrong bones. Each cultivation technique has their own effects, and so, this realm was extremely important. While it should be possible to come back to this realm, changing anything might destroy your whole cultivation.
After pondering on my technique for twenty years - hey, I didn't want to destroy my future or something - I made the Transparent Mirror Cultivation Technique, which, while sounding lame, was extremely powerful. It's strength was that it could be used in conjunction with any cultivation technique, and would promote harmony between all of them. The 'transparent' part was that it was transparent in that it didn't have its own effect, and the 'mirror' was because it would mirror every cultivation technique you used. It took me ten years to get there. That's a total of thirty five years, including the combat experience.
The rest 15 years, I spent improving my Qi control, and nothing else, in pursuit of making clones - and finally, today, I succeeded.
First, I would use the Transparent Mirror Cultivation Technique to use my Mirror Qi and shape it in the shape of a human; then, use another cultivation technique, the Perfect Human Cultivation Technique that allowed anyone to control every part of their body and enhance it, to form a human through the Qi. Then, finally, use the Spirit Enhancing Cultivation Technique that vastly increased the brain's capacity in all directions to increase my multitasking, and use the Manipulation Art made to control a being by controlling the electric signals of their nerves to possess the clone.

By now, I had made ten clones, the first few of which were failures and were dissipated. But, the fourth onwards, they were much better - I gave them each different jobs to do.
One of them would play strategy games with another - such as Checkers, Chinese Checkers, Go, Shogi, Chess, Go, and so on. Even business games weren't left out.
One other was made to have no talent but immense comprehension. His task was to make a cultivation method for those without talent that is fast enough.
The third one was asked to make a technique that uses Qi to detect specific information about an unknown object or being.
The fourth one was for making a technique to sense the surroundings only using Qi.
The fifth one was tasked with making a technique to control Qi in nature. It was extremely hard to control, sure, but all I needed was a technique that allows me to contact people over long distances using Qi in the nature.
The last one was tasked with learning the classics of this world. Of course, it was impossible now; so, instead, it was comprehending its own classics and those from my planet.
I kept making more clones; each one had its own task. And, the plus point is that since they all share my own consciousness, all of their knowledge belongs to me, and I can do whatever I want using them.
A hundred years had passed so, and during this time, I had retreated to cultivate. All my clones had spread over the world, learning every thing from every place possible. Farming, fortune telling, medicine, alchemy, business, talisman making, jewellery, cooking and whatnot. My clones never aged, but since they could change how they looked, they looked like they aged. Of course, when they left the town after learning, I made sure they changed their faces back to a young man.
A few other clones were simply accumulating information from every possible source. Stories, history, legends, culture, politics - you name it. There were even a few clones whose job was to use Qi and appraise everything they find - people or not.
There were those who then concentrated on weapons, defeating and fighting everyone they find, and trying to learn every form of swordsmanship they could. In the end, I used their combined comprehensions to create many Sword Techniques. Other weapons, too, such as the bow, the saber, the fists, the palm, the feet, even fingers...
I scoured the entire world with my clones, not leaving a single stone unturned, literally. And I got all my information by hypnotizing people to tell the clones only the truth.
In the meantime, I wasn't slacking off in my cultivation, either. Now that I had clones take care of my weaknesses - in fact, since even the clones could cultivate I could siphon off Qi from them, increasing my cultivation speed, although not by much - I broke through repeatedly in a short time.
After the Transformation Realm, which was the link between Martial Arts and Cultivation, there were the Foundation Establishment, Qi Accumulation, Golden Core, Mansion Building, Qi Galaxy, and the Qi Condensing Realms. As I got stronger, the Qi around me got richer, meaning the river next to which I cultivated slowly became a Holy River and the mountain became a Holy Land. As a result, many people tried to get on it, but I put up a barrier around it to prevent such things happening. This, in turn, made people worship the mountain even more, believing that the mountain was the "home of god", and those who could get into it are all amazing geniuses...
Irritated, I once yelled out loud, and people thought god was angry at the crowding - which, technically speaking, was not entirely wrong, as I was strong enough for them to consider God - and stopped crowding around. There were even legends that if one were to go there without permission, they would be punished immensely to die without reincarnation.
Well, the punished part was true - I erased all their memories and sent them back on their way to walk for a whole day before they regained consciousness.
Hey, I didn't want to be interrupted. I mean, do you like being interrupted when reading your novels? It's similar to that!
Well, I soon called back all the clones for a reason, though...
