A young man by the name of Kusuno Shizamasu walked through Seigin, 10 years after the kingdom's destruction. The city had been rebuilt thanks to outside help from other kingdoms as well as lord Senku's help in maintaining the city's quality with most of the kingdom back together with no sign of the destruction even transpiring many years ago.
Kusuno had black hair with red eyes dressed in a black hooded robe. He made his way to the tavern to see a young man with white hair and blue eyes whipping down the bar. He wore a brown shirt and pants as he looked up to see the young man approach him. "Ah, welcome how may I help you this fine day?"
Kusuno nodded. "I'd like to take a request if possible" The bartender smiled pulling out a stack of folders. "Can I have your current rank please, some of these quests are only for B and A rank adventurers"
With a frown the young boy replied: "I currently don't have a rank, this is actually my 1st time going out on a quest" The white-haired man looked through the stack of quests, setting the higher-ranking tasks aside before looking up at him.
"Well, I'm afraid if you don't even have a rank currently, I'm afraid I'll have to start you out at a D-rank adventurer like everyone else. Here in Seigin, you're permitted to take any quests one rank above your own, but that's it. With that said, I can only grant you D-rank and C-rank requests until you've either completed five of either rank, or taken the advancement test to be promoted to a C-rank hero"
With a sigh, Shizamasu agreed to the rules before looking over the low threat quests... "I'll take this one then!"

INFO:
Reports of a monster attacking workers in a gold mine have been coming up recently, what could be the cause of these attacks?]
"Very well, I shall assign you to the task, but please do be careful, though it's only a C-rank request, we're unsure of what creature's been attacking the workers within the mine"
"Thanks for your help, I'll be back as soon as I can!" With that Kusno took off through the city streets, his black cloak blowing in the wind as he past many humans and creatures casually walking through the streets. Reaching the eastern part of the city, he made his way down a stone path leading towards the large forest that wrapped around the outside of the kingdom.
A few meters beyond the kingdom's walls, the young adventurer saw a crossroad with a wooden sign pointing left reading: "GOLD MINE" He looked towards the other path which lead straight through the forest. Though he was curious what lied beyond, this being his 1st time outside the city. He knew there was no time to waste, as well as the fact he wasn't sure just what kind of creatures roamed the forest.
Without taking up any more time, Kusno dashed down the left path towards the mine where he soon saw an entrance to the mine that was made on the side of a large mountain. The young adventurer came to a stop before the door-shaped entrance to the mine, only to find no sign of any workers, nothing but the sound of trees rustling across the forest.
"Hmm, there's no sign that says they closed this mine down yet, but also no sign anyone's even been here today. Seems my only option is to head inside and hope I find whatever's been causing trouble for these workers. Taking a step forward, the young boy could feel his stomach tighten up in fear. Aside from faint lanterns and torchers, he could see nothing but utter darkness within the mine before him.
"Tsk, I took this quest, it's my job to see it through and accomplish the task!" Clinching his fist he proceeded to enter the mine. The bright sunlight began to disappear behind him as he made his way through the narrow mine shaft. He walked on the gray stone path with rocky walls on both side along with wooden support bars against the walls and ceiling to keep the walkway from suddenly collapsing in on itself.
Continuing to walk through the dark hall, he soon saw light coming from a distance. Not wanting to spend another moment in the faintly lit shaft, Kusuno dashed down the straight path before making his way through a large entrance where he found himself standing in a large stone area which he assumed was the center of the mine shaft.
The large gray room was filled with lanterns and torches to fill the room with enough light to illuminate the whole room. In the center of the room was a mine cart which were used to carry ore and gold that were found within the mine. It was old and worn out with nothing inside.
"Hmph, this cart also looks abandoned. Hopefully there really is no workers here. Better than then one of them getting kidnapped or killed by that monster" Just then Kusuno heard a sound coming from one of the four mine tunnels in front of him, it sounded like something splashing like a water sack hitting the ground repeatedly. That's when a silver slime came hoping out from the middle shaft.
It stopped a few feet away, looking at him with cute black eyes. "A silver slime? I thought they were normally blue and in some cases red, green or brown depending on the element type they were. Could this be a wind type slime?"
[Ability Acquired :
Creature Tame - Capture any monster equal or below your current level ]
At first Kusuno was confused by the acquired ability, but given his current situation, he knew it was best to just take advantage of his only acquired skill. "Capture!" Throwing his left palm towards the small creature, his hand glowed blue as a ray of blue light transferred from him to the slime. The creature's eyes widened as it shook from the sensation. He watched as a transparent chain made of blue mana appeared between him and his tamed monster.
[Slime Captured]
A black screen popped up in front of him that read: "Please Name Summon" He thought for a moment before responding: "Suto. I wouldn't say it's a great name, but should work for now"
[Ability Acquired:
Tame Summon - Summon tamed monsters using MP. Stronger Summons requires more MP]
"Alright, let's see if this works...Come, Suto!" In a flash of light, the slime appeared in front of him, looking up at him with excitement almost like a dog or cat happy to see their owner.
“Heh, welcome abord Suto! I hope you become big and strong and be a great part of my team!” He smiled rubbing the creature’s head as it nuzzled it’s soft head against his palm.
Just then the mine shook as if something massive had just impacted the mountain. “Alright Suto, you think you can help me find the creature that’s been terrorizing the humans around here?”
With a nod the slime responded: “Suto! Suto!” Before hoping towards the center tunnel where it had come from with Kusuno following close behind. (Heh, I thought the slime would actually talk, but I guess it only knows how to say it’s own name. I wonder...maybe I can teach it how to speak at some point)
This narrative has been purloined without the author's approval. Report any appearances on Amazon.
They continued walking through the narrow mine shaft when Suto came to a halt catching the summoner off-guard as it shook in fear. “W-what is it Suto?” The silver slime hid behind it’s master as Shizamasu cautiously stepped inside a large poorly lit room when he suddenly felt his black boot step in a puddle. “Hmm? Strange...how can there be water in here? Maybe it seeped through the cracks of the rocks?”
Taking a closer look and feeling a rancid smell from it, he quickly realized what it was as a chill ran down his spine. He staggered back landing on Suto who cushioned his fall. (B-blood, this is blood! There’s no mistaking it...this is the blood from one of the workers. That means the monster is close)
“Suto?” The slime commented looking up at him still laying against him like a beanbag. Pulling himself together, Kusuno knew he’d have to fight whatever killed that man and needed to prepare. “If I'm going to fight that thing, I need to figure out just what Suto can do...bring up menu”
A blue menu with white text popped up in front of him:
• Equipment
• Inventory
• Summons
• Index
• Skill
“Good, seems I'm getting the hang of how this works” Selecting [summons] He saw a picture of Suto on the left with all his stats on the right. “Level one slime, his abilities are [wind slash] and [transmorph] Since he’s only a lvl.1 slime, I'm surprised he even has two abilities. Unlike me who can only summon. Ok Suto, I know you’re scared just as much as I am...but we need to find and kill whatever’s killing these innocent mine workers”
Slowly making his way past the puddle of blood, he thought he heard something on the other side of the room. Carefully pulling a torch of the wall, he walked towards the faint sound before coming to a complete stop. He could feel his heart sink in his chest as he raised the torch up, illuminating what looked like a large green troll fast asleep before him, surrounded by skeletal remains of the poor workers that had been caught by the monster.
He clinched the wooden torch in his grip preparing to throw it right at the troll in hopes it will kill or at least burn the creature. But seeing it’s thick green skin, he assumed a small torch wouldn’t be nearly enough to wound such a large creature. Looking around the large gray room, he noticed the old worn-out support beams above them and smirked.
“Suto! Break the support beams with wind slash!” Taking a deep breath, the slime inflated unleashing condensed slashes of air. SUUTTTOO!” It cried out as the condensed air pierced through the support bars holding the ceiling in place. The ceiling began to rumble as small rocks began falling around them. Without warning, Suto opened it’s mouth, pulling it’s master inside for protection as it raced towards the exit.
The entire mine began to collapse with massive boulders and debris falling all around them. Suto launched out of the mine just as the entire inside caved-in on itself with a violent boom. Once they were safe, Suto let it’s master slide out completely dry as he looked up at him.
“Heh, good job Suto, I'm happy we became friends, and you allowed me to create a tame link with you” He rubbed the slime’s head once more when the ground around them began to rumble. That’s when the large green troll burst out of the mine as rocks flew past Kusuno barely missing him and Suto.
“Shit! That thing’s still alive!” The large green troll let out a deafening roar causing the young summoner to cover his ears feeling the soundwave brush past him. Looking up at the monster, he saw it had sharp teeth with muscular arms but a round stomach, it had white eyes with no irises.
That’s when the brute spotted the young adventurer and his slime as it threw both fits up preparing to crush them. Kusuno was frozen in fear when Suto stretched it’s body, forming a wall as the brute’s fists came down in a powerful strike, only for the slime’s protective wall to nullify the force of the troll’s attack like hitting a wall of rubber.
Runinng in the opposite direction of the enraged beast, Kusuno cried out: “Suto! Use wind slash!” Reverting back to it’s circular form, it jumped into the air taking in as much air as it could. “SUUTTTOO!” The young summoner watched as the waves of immense air pierced the troll’s body repeatedly like razers as purple blood ran down it’s shredded body.
Standing a few meters away, Kusuno watched as the green brute shook in pain before picking up one of the fallen boulders preparing to throw it right at the small silver slime. “Raaagghh!” With one final roar, the troll threw the colossal rock straight for the summon.
“Suto!” The boy cried out as he could watch his summon get crushed by the large rock. Tears began to fill his eyes at the sight of Suto squished beneath it. “N-no, you can’t be dead Suto...g-get up Suto...please” The boy fell to his knees in tears when the injured troll focused on him, running straight form him with thunderous steps shaking the forest.
Kusuno just sat and waited for the end as the troll threw a push right for him, only for a large silver tentacle to wrap around the troll’s arm, bringing it’s fist to a halt. With a confused growl the monster turned to see Suto slide out from under the rock before once again taking in air to grow as big as the monster.
His master was amazed as the slime transmorphed it’s body into a golem-like shape with arms and legs still made of it’s silver slime goo as it bellowed in a deep voice: “Suuttoo!”
Suto Has Acquired :
[Transmorph : “Golem” – Suto can now take the form resembling a golem. [ATK & DEF Buff]
“Wow! He can take the shape of something that big!? Go Suto!” He cheered. The large slime marched towards the troll, it’s large form shaking the forest with each step. Baring it’s sharp teeth, the troll threw a blow right for the slime’s face, only for it to be stuck inside. The large green brute struggled to free himself, only for Suto to use his fists to strike both sides of the creature’s skull simultaneously. Though still a slime, the golem form boosted the creature’s attack and defensive power five times greater than it’s base form.
The force of the attack sent a slight shockwave across the area as the troll hit the ground defeated. Kusuno slowly walked up to the slime golem as Suto shrunk back down to his small round self. “Great job Suto! You keep surprising me more and more! Time to finally finish this this quest”
[LEVEL 2 Unlocked]
[Suto has Reached Level 2]
With a quick head pat, Kusuno started heading back towards the Seigin kingdom with his new slime companion following close behind. As they left, the troll vanished in a burst of wisps of pink energy....
CHAPTER 1: The Beginning Of A New Adventure
Making his way through the stone streets, many of the citizens took notice of the unique creature following Kusuno with one of them commenting: “Wow, I've never seen a silver slime before, aren’t those supposed to be the rarest type? I’ve heard they have potential equal to an A-rank or even S-rank monster!”
Kusuno looked down at his summon with a surprised look before smiling at Suto before reaching the tavern he had visited earlier. The bartender looked up at him, giving him a smile as he welcomed the young adventurer back. “Glad to see you’ve made it back safe Kusuno, was worried that monster might have got you like the others I've heard about. Did you manage to get a look at the creature?”
“I did better than get a look at it, my new friend Suto here managed to defeat the creature which turned out to be a large green troll we found asleep in the depths of the mine. The mines collapsed on him, but the troll somehow escaped the rubble. If it wasn’t for Suto, I would have been the brute’s next meal”
The silver slime hopped into a stool in front of the bar with a happy expression on his face. “Suto, Suto!” He announced to the bartender. The white-haired man laughed. “Nice to meet you too Suto, I'm happy you both have become such great friends so fast. So Kusuno...what quest will you take next?”
Looking over the remaining D-C quests, he smirked pulling up one of the quest sheets in his hand. “I’ll take this one!”

INFO:
Reports of a figure sneaking into houses stealing money and valuables have popped up all over Seigin, who is this thief and what is their goal?]
“Good luck Kusuno, I have faith you’ll accomplish your task. Before I forget, allow me to reward you for your recent quest”
[1,000 gold obtained]
“Thank you- uh...I never got your name”
“Oh heh, apologies, I am Sabastion Everworth. But you can just call me Sabastion” The man placed his hand across his chest with a formal bow. Kusuno smiled thanking him heading towards the exit before stopping.
“By the way Sabastion, would you know of a place where I might be able to find a shop that sells weapons? All I have is this robe for the moment”
“Ah yes, all adventurers must surely refine their attire at some point of their journey. If you walk along the path towards the king’s castle, you should see many kinds of merchants along the streets all selling all kinds of weapons and equipment for adventurers such as yourself”
“Thanks again! Come on Suto!” The silver slime hopped off the stool over to it’s master as they made their way through the city streets as the sun began to go down turning dark red. “Alright Suto, let’s see if we can find me a weapon to help me in battle, I'd hate for you to have to always protect me when we should be protecting each other”
Walking towards the large castle across the city, Kusuno soon began to see a few wooden shops set up in the streets selling many kinds of items such as swords, knight armor and more. He spotted a tall buff dark-skinned man with long brown hair dressed in a brown leather jacket with a white under shirt, black pants wearing black leather gloves. He stood inside a wooden shop he had set up with a variety of weapons.
His interest peaked, the young summoner walked over to the weapon shop. The tall man looked up at the boy with his arms crossed. “Welcome young adventurer. As you can see, I am well diverse in my selection of weapons. I ensure my clients are well prepared for almost any situation. Is there a particular type of weapon you’re looking for?”
Shizamasu looked on the left walls of the store seeing swords hanging on the wall, the large wooden desk in the center had wants and staffs while the right wall had guns and large weapons such as axes and scythes. He picked up a basic knight sword holding it with both hands, but it didn’t feel right to him, so he placed it back on the wall. “Hmmm, well I am a fan of swords, but my skills are magic based, so I guess I'd have to choose between either a wand or a staff. What would you suggest sir?”
“Heh, well it would depend on what kind of spell you’re casting, if it’s just your basic elemental spells, then I'd suggest a wand. But if you’re casting high-tier magic such as time or summoning magic, I'd suggest you choose from the staffs. From what I've studied between wands and staffs, the staff were specifically created for high-tier spells especially summoning magic”
“Alright...seems a staff is my best option then” He looked down at the table before him and saw three staffs: A white one with a red crystal, a black one with a purple crystal and a black one with a white crystal ball on the tip. After a few minutes of deciding which one to pick, he slowly reached down...picking up the black staff, gripping it in his hand. He could feel faint mana essence flowing within the staff.
“I’ll take this one. How much is it?”
“Normally a staff like that would run about 1,000 gold, but I'm feeling generous today and will only charge you 950 for it”
“Wow really!? Thank you, sir!” Kusuno’s eyes filled with excitement as he gave the merchant the gold pieces before he and Suto raced off down the street to finally begin their hunt for the one stealing from the people of Seigin.
[Weapon Skill Acquired]
Cyclone – Create a powerful cyclone with wind magic. (Only usable while weapon is equipped)
Reading over his new and 1st offensive skill, Kusuno was excited to try it out, but was unsure just how big the cyclone would be and decided to wait and avoid causing any unnecessary damage to the surrounding area.
