"!?"(Rune , Kiel, & slave trader 2)

"W-what nonsense are you saying!?"(slave trader 1)

"After you forced yourself on me that night, after you marked this man's body of mine, you will just toss me aside and act like nothing happened? How cruel...." (Allan)

"..........*backs away*"(Rune , Kiel, & slave trader 2)

"Y-you guys are wrong! I don't swing that way! I just tortured him like usual!"(slave trader 1)

*stare*

"S-stop! Don't stare at me like that! I'm telling you, I don't swing that way! Allan, you sh*t! Stop spreading nonsense!"(slave trader 1)

*SMACK*

Aaa.... he just got beat up by that slave trader.

"Hey! Just leave him be, we need to report back to the boss or we will be in trouble" (slave trader 2)

"Tch!"(slave trader 1)

*click*click*clang*

The slave traders just leave us and lock the door.

"........could you take five steps away from me?"(slave trader 2)

"I told you, I don't swing that way!"(slave trader 1)

I just sit at the edge of the cage along with Kiel.

"....."(Rune)

"......."(Kiel)

"..........."(Allan)

There's a big silence in this room.

".......are you okay, Rune? Are you hurt? Those guys did pull you with force before."(Kiel)

"W-what are you saying, Kiel? The one whose hurt is you... they beat you so much! There's even blood on you lip."(Rune)

I wipe Kiel's blood as I say that. She just smiles gently towards me.

"I don't mind as long they don't harm you."(Kiel)

Uu... you're good kid, Kiel! Good kid!

"...that's rare, I thought silver eyed demons only cared about themselves since they're vicious creatures. Is she your future meal or something?"(Allan)

What with his attitude?! First, he tries hitting on me, then he badmouths Kiel?! Now I'm angry!

"Everyone is different! Not all silver eyed demons are like that! Kiel is a very good girl, you know! So stop treating her like she's a bad person."(Rune)

As I yell at him, Allan's eyes stare at me wide open and then he starts to laugh... he laughs really hard. I just stare dumbfounded at him. Is he laughing me!?

"Hahaha*cough*.....I'm sorry, little missy. I didn't mean to anger you. I apologize for my rudeness."(Allan)

Huh? Isn't his personality somehow a bit different from before?

"My name is Allan Riddean. I'm a locksmith"(Allan)

Just as he said that, his chains fall on the ground, opened.

"H-how did you?!"(Rune)

"I just pretended to be chained by them. This kind lock's level won't be able to withstand my skill"(Allan)

He just walks slowly towards me and Kiel. He sits down just a meter away from us.

"Say, are you guys kidnapped?"(Allan)

"??"(Rune)

"Don't worry! I will not harm you both! So, are you both kidnapped or not?"(Allan)

Just what does this guy want? I don't understand him.

"......he really won't harm us. Are you gonna tell him Rune?"(Kiel)

"Is he really not gonna harm us?"(Rune)

"Yes, I can assure you that."(Kiel)

I don't know how Kiel knows whenever this guy's lying or not, but telling him won't do any harm, I suppose?

"I was kidnapped a few weeks ago."(Rune)

Kiel looks at me right before answering Allan's question.

"......I was sold to them about a year ago."(Kiel)

"You're sold?!"(Rune)

"Yes."(Kiel)

Kiel smiles bitterly while looking at me. I want to ask more about it, but I do not dare to. I am shocked.

"Are there any other kids who're kidnapped by those guys?"(Allan)

"There are many. Most of the kids in this building are kidnapped by them."(Kiel)

"Right, so it's true after all...."(Allan)

Allan was deep in thought, then he suddenly looks at us.

"One more question, do you guys by any chance know a girl named Arin?"(Allan)

".........no, I don't know. The only kid I ever talk to is Rune."(Kiel)

"Is that so....."(Allan)

Allan looks so disappointed and sad. With a bitter expression and a little bit of anger, I could hear him in low voice.

"There's a probability she's here but-....."(Allan)

"Is this Arin girl your sister?"(Rune)

I asked him out of curiosity. He seems so serious when he asked about this girl. He smiles with a very sad face.

"Arin is my daughter..."(Allan)

D-daughter!? Isn't he a little bit too young?!

"She's only six year old, and she was kidnapped a few months ago. I'm searching for her."(Allan)

Allan looks so sad as he mentions his daughter. It's only a moment's thought, but I've seen every single name of every little kid in this building.

"....she's not here"(Rune)

"What do you mean she's not here?...Is there any chance that you met her?!"(Allan)

Allan tries to grab my shoulder, but Kiel stops him before he touches me.

"No, I've never met her before."(Rune)

"Then how would you know whether she's here or not?! Do not play with me, kid."(Allan)

He seems a little annoyed. Of course, if you're searching desperately for your daughter, then some kid just acts as if she knows something about you daughter's existence while she never meet her, I would also feel peeved.

"I have an ability called [Analyzing Eyes]. I've seen every name of every kids in this building. There is no girl named Arin."(Rune)

"How should I believe you?"(Allan)

Allan looked at me full of suspicious.

"I can't instantly prove it to you, because a person's [status window] can't be shown without an adventure card. But just remember, I don't gain anything from lying to you."(Rune)

I look at him right in the eyes. For a few moments, we stare at each other.

"*sigh*....you're right, I will believe you for now"(Allan)

After he says that, Allan is the first one to broke the periodic silence.

"You said you're kidnapped a few weeks ago, so you live near beast continent border?"(Allan)

"Eh? Yes, I do."(Rune)

"Poor you. Do not worry, because you will see your family soon"(Allan)

Allan pats my head.

*SMACK*

"What do you mean by that?"(Kiel)

Kiel just slaps Allan's hand away and glares at him full of hatred.

"What I mean is that help will come soon."(Allan)

He said, while a bit shocked by Kiel's attitude.

"Don't you want to see your family? They must be worried"(Allan)

I do want to go home. But.. there are the game's story issues.... about this and that..... I just can't go home.

"Don't joke with me! Didn't I just tell you that I was sold?! I was sold by my village! There is no one I want to see and there is no one worried about me!"(Kiel)

Kiel's voice tone is getting heavier as she speaks. I can feel her hatred for every word that she speaks. She then looks at my eyes and speak with a weak voice.

" Are you gonna leave me too Rune? Are you gonna run away from me?"(Kiel)

"W-well, you will get your freedom. Isn't that something you should be happy about? You can be an adventurer or a merchant or a traveler?  Isn't that great?"(Allan)

Kiel ignores Allan words and doesn't avert her eyes from me. It's just like she's waiting for my answer.

".....I'm not going home"(Rune)

"Eh?"(Allan)

"There's something that has to be done, so I'm not gonna go back home. So if you don't mind, would you travel together with me, Kiel?"(Rune)

"Rune! Of course."(Kiel)

Kiel just grabs my hand and shows her biggest smile.

"I'm so happy! And I would have frozen you on the spot if you tried to leave me"(Kiel)

"Huh? Did you say something?"(Rune)

"Yes, I said I'm so happy that my anger froze on the spot because you chose not to leave me." (Kiel)

"Oi! oi! Don't kid me, kids! You're gonna make your parents worry you know! You have to go home!"(Allan)

"No, I can't do that. I have my reasons to not go back"(Rune)

"Then tell me the reason."(Allan)

"I..I can't tell you"(Rune)

"You're lying then! Kids need to be with their parents! That's why you need to go home!"(Allan)

"I really can't! I have my reason!"(Rune)

"Then tell me the reason!"(Allan)

"........."(Rune)

"If you can't even tell me, you need to back to your parents. This is the end of our conversa-"(Allan)

Before Allan finish his word, a big gust of wind suddenly passes us. In the blink of an eye, Allan is thrown to the corner of the room and is held down by Kiel. Her hand chokes Allan's neck.

"Rune wants to be with me. Why are you so darn persistent about separating us?"(Kiel)

Her tone is so heavy. I can feel killing intent emitted from her. She's serious.

"K-Kiel stop!"(Rune)

"I patiently waited, but he still persistently try to separate us. So why do I have to stop, Rune?"(Kiel)

"Allan's reasoning is logical as a parent."(Rune)

"So?"(Kiel)

"So...um, if he's worried about us being kids, isn't it better if we stick with him?"(Rune)

"What?! *cough*"(Allan)

"He's an adult after all, and he knows more about society than we do. We can learn from him."(Rune)

"Learn from him..."(Kiel)

"Allan is just worried about us since we're just kids. That's why he doesn't agree with me about not going back home. And just I said it's logical for him since, if we don't know about the outside world, we can't survive in society. But if we learn from him and grow to be dependable people, we can go together. I believe you won't disagree with that, right, sir Allan?"(Rune)

"Are you crazy!? Of course I disag-*cough*"(Allan)

This stupid guy! I need to reason with Kiel to calm her. That why I try to propose a deal with Allan.

"Allan, it's not like I will never see my family again. I will leave a lead to my family so they can know about me being here and all. Besides, if you agree with me, I will help you search for your daughter. With my ability, it would be easier to find her and, of course, Kiel will help too. Right Kiel? Please, just let him go first."(Rune)

As I said this, Kiel starts to let Allan go slowly.

"If Rune helps Allan, of course I will help too."(Kiel)

Kiel says with an innocent smile, even though she looked a bit scary just a moment ago. Kiel is pretty short-tempered, isn't she? That's not good for her personality. I should give some anger management lessons to her. I believe that everything that has happened to her, and due to tiredness, she just needs some air to release all her anger.

"Huff..huff... just how old are you really?"(Allan)

"Huh? I just turn four this month"(Rune)

"F-four..huff... you're so mature for a four year old kid...huff"(Allan)

"I think so."(Rune)

I just smile wryly at Allan's words.
