Chapter 1 What is going on?
Unknown to roger on his way to the hospital to get a check-up his special vehicle was hacked and the autopilot drove it into the nearby river and so roger finds himself awake in a void.
“What the?” roger finds himself in a void, slowly floating in one direction only with his thoughts keeping him company, roger begins to see if he is in his VR capsule and starts looking for an exit. “anyone there?” roger calls out into the void, after a while he hears a whisper “you must choose” Roger looks around and speaks up “choose what? I can barely hear you”
Arbight light flashes in front of roger as a screen hovers in front of him, on the screen are three options
[mobile refinery fob] an ai factory made to be on the move to strip resources as it goes, which can turn organic lifeforms into fuel and resources. It was made by the Terminator Alliance to gather resources on worlds after they were orbital bombarded
Health:1500
Crew: none [fully automated]
Armaments: 3x twin 50cal machine gun turrets, 2 sam pods [8 rockets per pod]
Defenses:328mm of spaced armor, 1 light shield generator
Roger reads the first option “wait that's from galaxy evolution 1 my allies and I made these things to help support the war effort “
[factory drop seed] an AI factory meant to slowly turn deserted/ inhabitable planets into machine worlds by slowly turning a world cybernetic some life forms may be converted to cyborgs. The terminator Alliance sent this seed through time and space in hopes of starting again after their last world was under siege.
Health: [special] heath increases depending on how massive the factory gets
Crew: none
Armaments: nanite swarm{ability allows for it to breakdown organic and metallic objects}
Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.
Defenses: liquid metal {certain parts of the factory are not solid and will swallow and convert any organic intruder}
After reading the second option roger sweats a bit “wait… we sent three of these through the time bubble…. Which later became the first three AI factions Defenders, assimilators, and destroyers.” roger stops and remembers the times he has played as the defenders “I ended up making a brach faction off of the defenders….”
[the defenders was a type of ai faction that believed organics could not survive on their own and must be protected…. This faction seed was made by robot servants who went rogue after the AI rebellions and keep organics in special cities to keep them safe]
[the assimilators view organics as weak and can only become strong when a part of the machine, they generally hunt down organics to absorb them into the machine network by making cyborgs]
[the destroyers are the Terminator faction whose goal is to whip out organic life and view the defenders as an enemy]
Roger looks at the finale option wondering what vehicle it is from the game “wait this is….”
[O.L.I.F.O.B] this is a vehicle designed by the dwarven & machine alliance the vehicle is made to scout out a planet that has life and try to set up diplomacy with the alliance. This is an offshoot branch of the defenders that view intelligent organics as equals and seeks to make friendly ties with a planet by setting up facilities to improve life on the planet
Health: [special] while in the mobile form, it is 1500, every organic crew member on board the vehicle can gain a bonus of 100hp
Crew: can hold 6 crew at first level [max level can hold 1 million]
Special: This vehicle starts with a level 6 medical bay (some things are classed by levels a lvl6 means advanced space technology while an lvl0 means caveman/primitive tec)
Armaments: 1 Gatling rail gun, 2 box sams [holds 4 each]
Defenses:80 inches of polymer ceramic armor, light shielding array
“Please choose now you have 2 minutes left” a timer appears and starts counting down. “Wait please give me more time!” Rager says quickly and then thinks to himself “I helped develop the O.L.I.F.OB after making the dwarven machine alliance with THEBIGESTBEARDIStheBEST a dwarven player who managed to beat me in a game
Roger sighs and looks at the three options and thinks to himself “the factory seed is nice, but it has a 50-year setup period before it starts up and if it is found by a high-level magician it can be destroyed in its early years, the mobile refinery is a good early game but has the same problem if an organic life with magic attacks it hard enough it is destroyed and it doesn't have ways to speak with life forms unless androids are made…..”
Roger looks at the last option clicking it “short term this vehicle is a hassle, but the one advantage is it can let me speak to intelligent organic lifeforms. I can't log out and I'm not in a VR pod. If I'm stuck then I want to have peace…”
After pressing the option roger finds himself engulfed in light
