Jereth did not have much free time. He either had to go to work to pay off his tuition fees or he had to go to university for lectures. But when he did have time off, he played MMO games or games like D&D. Tonight, he was scheduled to work overtime by his boss so he went out and started biking across the bridge which was close to his house.
The weather forecast had said that there would be a lot of rain and even flooding, but Jereth didn't pay attention to it because he was in a hurry so that he would not miss work. Sadly, all decisions have consequences.
Jereth rode his bike onto the bridge and went onto the side of the bridge due to all the cars. However, the wheels on his bike skidded and he fell over the side. Normally, Jereth would be able to swim, but his legs got tangled with the spokes of the bike. Thus, leading him to drown.
Everything went black.
He had spent what seemed to be several hours in the darkness. He neither felt cold nor hot. Before he suddenly saw red.
He felt squished and uncomfortably hot. He tried stretching his arms and legs, but that's when he realized he couldn't feel them anymore.
"Oh my God! Am I in the hospital!? Where are my legs and arms!? Why can't I see!?", Jereth thought to himself as he panicked. He thrashed around as wildly as he could until he heard a crick-crack noise.
Suddenly blinding light seared his eyes and he closed them shut tightly before steadily trying to regain his sight. It seemed that he was in some sort of dark cave. The ground was rocky and rough, but with a slippery feel. He sensed a small patch of water off by the side. It wasn't that he could see it, but rather that he somehow knew it was there. He inched his way over and looked at his reflection. It was a jet-black small snake-like creature with purple highlights and red eyes. He screamed and crawled back.
However, all that came out of his mouth was a large 'Hissssasa!'. Then, he looked back in the pond and moved his head. The snake did the same. It seemed that he was the snake!
"What the heck happened to me....Am I on meds or something? Or did I die and end up as a snake....Is this that reincarnation that people talk about in novels?", Jereth thought to himself. Then, he wondered if this would work. "Status", he tried to say or rather "Hssasssiss" is what came out.
Suddenly, a screen popped up.

It seems that he had been reincarnated into another world as a sea snake. But even so, he was pretty weak. If he stayed here with stats like this, then he would certainly die. Not to mention, he was beginning to feel hungry. He decided to explore more of this place for a while until he could either escape or find a number of weak monsters so he could feed off them and increase his level.
5 hours later.
By using the skill [Analyze] against the ground, he was able to figure out that he was in the 6th floor of a dungeon known as the Deep Sea Dread. There were 10 floors in total and apparently he realized that the place where he'd hatched was a small aclove on the side of a cliff. The only way down was to swim through a small conduit through the cliff face which was filled with water to the bottom part of the floor. The problem was whether or not there were powerful monsters in the water.
He did not assume that a D Rank monster was particularly powerful. Most stories he'd read often cited a S-Rank or SSS-Rank monster as being the strongest of it's kind. He decided to satisfy his hunger by eating his leftover shell, but that may not have been the best move.
He'd gotten the [Poisoned (Medium)] status which caused him to lose 5 HP per minute. Until after 3 minutes where it wore off due to the effects of [Venom Resistance] . He waited a few minutes for his HP to go back to full before trying to taste anything else. The only good thing that came out of this experience was the fact that he gained the [[Passive] HP Regeneration Lv 1] and [[Passive] Venom Resistance Lv 6].
Although his hunger was satiated. He was still thirty. However, he did not risk drinking the water from the conduit. Sea creatures often had poison and he was afraid that he might get a high level poisoned status if he actually consumed the water. So he tried licking the rocks around it. He'd heard that water would condensate near rocks and that it would be a safer alternative, however he was sorely mistaken.
He got [Infected (Small)]. It only reduced his HP by 1 per minute, but he feared that if he let it go on, it would escalate. Thus, he poured out a large amount of venom from his fangs directly into his mouth and covered his mouth in it. He'd hoped that the venom would kill off any bacteria and stop it. It paid off and the status disappeared, with him getting two new skills. [[Active] Infectious Bite Lv 1] and [[Passive] Infection Resistance].
After those two bad experiences, he went close to a crack in the wall and fell asleep. Hopefully, he would be able to figure a way out of this place.
