'God help me... How do I aim...' Basmon thought to himself after trying to shoot the bow a couple more times at the wolves. Only 1 shot hit, and it did nothing, at least from an outward perspective. The wolves' fur coats seemed much stronger than they looked. Their grey fur shined under the moonlight. Around 5 hours later, whilst the sun slowly rose, the wolves backed off. They had no way to get the bow, so they gave up. Slowly, the panic left Basmon. He noticed he still seemed to feel emotions and experience adrenaline, even though he is no longer a human and does not have hormones.
'How... How will I train to become a better shot???' Basmon wondered to himself, half asking the system to aid him. He slowly started to think about what had happened, along with his aim. 'Hey! The Quests!' Basmon suddenly remembered the Quest option that the system had. 'Quest'
'Hey! I saw spectral body in the shop for 60TP! What a wonderful deal! I just need to shoot 9 more arrows!' Basmon immediately pulled himself up from the tree with Bow Control and formed an arrow. Aiming towards a tree, he pulled back the bowstring... And missed the target by 6 meters. From only 10 Meters away. 'Aghhh!!! I'm still garbage at shooting...' He followed this up with 8 more arrows, with only 1 barely hitting the tree... But it was a hanging arrow. (Arrow that does not penetrate the target)
'Oh... So I should use this to shoot, not try to do it with bow control... oops.' Basmon thought on this, whilst waiting for his mana to regenerate, as he had used it on the arrows. He realized that he also seemed to regenerate 1 mana/min. After about 20 minutes, he summoned the Spectral Body. 'Spectral Body!!!'
Around where the bow was, a spectral, glowing body appeared, with a slight purple tint. It radiated power and fear. 'Holy! That looks awesome!' Basmons sight merged with the body, and he realized he was holding the bow. He could easily control the body but still could not talk. He grabbed the bow by the handle and formed a blueish arrow. His hand grasped the handle (Central part of the bow) whilst his other hand pulled back the string. He aimed towards the nearest try... and released.
-1 Durability. Spectral Body Deactivated.
'Hey! What the frick! Why did I take damage! There's no one around me!' Basmon screamed internally.
'What? Also, no need to bring that up!' Basmon complained to the system, clearly salty about that fact. 'Also, how can the bowstring kill me?' Basmon wondered to himself. 'Wait... does this mean if my own durability reaches 0, I will die?'
'What! I already lost 20 of it! How do I regain my durability???' Basmon started to panic. After all this, he did not want to die again.

'So Expensive! Alright... System, I'll transfer my remaining 18 mana to durability.'
'What! How! I haven't a clue how to do that!' Basmon said in confusion. The system didn't respond, so he started to do what he had read about in novels. Try and feel his mana. His mind slowly felt a small ball of seeming nothingness in his consciousness. It felt sticky and immovable. He tried to move it, to pry it, but he couldn't do it. It felt like a giant rock. For a couple of hours, he kept trying to move it, even after all his mana regenerated. Actually, that was interesting. He felt the mana slowly form every minute, making the small ball larger. Even so, he couldn't even budge it, try as he might. 'System! Please! Help me!' Basmon begged the system.
'W-What? You're fading?' Basmon questioned the system for a bit longer, but it didn't answer for a while. In the end, he gave up, and decided to try what the system suggested. He slowly focused on the ball of mana. 'Arrow' Basmon used the skill. In front of him, a bit of mana was seemingly drawn from the ball, then formed into an arrow, like clay. Out of his consciousness, a blueish arrow had formed. 'What... What happened...' Basmon wondered in confusion. How did the mana just flow with it?
He experimented a bit more and slowly came to the realization that: He was out of mana, and still hadn't figured it out. He was ready to give up but steeled his resolve, and every time his mana regenerated to full, he would try this again.
After about 20 hours, he finally figured something out. The mana was part of him. He didn't need to force it to move, he needed to move it, like a muscle. Just how you and I can flex our muscles, he could move his mana. It came suddenly and naturally to him. Now his problem was figuring out how to transfer it to durability. The first thing he did was try to drag 12 mana out of his consciousness towards the bow. Surprisingly, it worked. He immediately tried to form an arrow... and failed. He couldn't form an arrow or even shape the mana. Just move it. 'System, Why can't I form an arrow?'
'Oh... That makes sense... I guess... But why can the skills?'
Basmon was confused about this entire situation, but accepted it and moved on. Then, he grabbed the rest of his mana, 30 because some had regenerated, and brought them to the bow. Then, he tried to infuse them with the bow... And succeeded. 'I did it! System, what is my durability at???' Basmon exclaimed to the system.
<30/100 for 1 durability point>
'Wonderful! I can probably heal fully if I just sit at the top of this tree and heal for a while!' Basmon, for a while, healed himself, until he was full durability. The next thing he wanted to do was train his stance. 'System! How do I train my stance?'
'For real? Train!' Basmon thought, and was immediately was transported to the room he saw earlier when the tutorial was going. He activated spectral body and got up to look around. The room looked like a modern shooting facility, was a workout room, break room, targets, everything anyone would need. The walls were white, in strict comparison to the black targets. Basmon saw on a small bench, a small book with a longbow on the front, seemingly insignificant. However, Basmon realized its importance, and got up, grabbed it and started reading. It was a book all about basic bow stances.
Slowly, he started to try and train it. Basmon added another durability to Spectral Body, just in case, and started to practice. He straightened his torso and positioned his collar bone to the arrow. He made sure his hips didn't bend forwards or backward, along with making sure his torso did not bend left or right. He aligned his whole body towards the target. After reading the book, he understood that stance is the most important part of archery, the foundation. He relaxed his pinky finger, placed his pointer finger above the arrow, middle, and ring below the arrow, thumb down, and homed the arrow (Pulling all the way back, ready to be shot), and focused on the target.
Suddenly, his hand released the arrow, and the arrow shot towards the target. Hit! While it was on the side of the target, not only did it penetrate, it actually hit the target! 'YES!!!' Basmon was extremely happy. He actually understood the basics of stance. For the next couple of hours, he practiced his stance, slowly getting the basics down pat. Now, he could be considered a rookie archer. This was the beginning of the world's God of Archery.
