"I know who he is... I just don't understand why he is coming.... Did he got bored with all his girlfriends or just want to annoy me...?"
"Adeline... Calm down." The duchess said in a soft tone, trying to control her daughter's anger.
"That moron will be here in like 3 days and you want me to calm down?" said the girl, getting up from her seat with an annoyed look on her face.
"Adel... Sit down." Shouted the Duke.
"..." She sat down, saying nothing.
"I understand what you are trying to say, but we can't do anything. He is the crown prince"
"So..."
"What So...?"
"Why can't we do anything...? We can certainly break both of his legs, so he won't ever come back."
"What do think will happen if we do that...?"
"I don't know."
"It will be an act of treason... We will be declared traitors for harming the next ruler of this empire."
"So what...?"
"Adel, why are you talking like you brother..." asked the duchess. Her daughter always spoke when needed and her words were always meaningful, but now she was acting her brother who would never listen to any reasoning.
"What....? Or How do you want me to talk mother...? You know what he tried to do to me and now I should meet him. Just how do you think that's possible?"
"Adel, think calmly, he is the... "
"So what...? You want me to marry him and have kids and live a happy life?"
"Listen Adel..."
"Noting like this would happen if brother would be here." said Adel in an annoyed tone.
With that, the girl left the office room, closing the door with some force for added emphasis, and the duke and duchess sighed at the same time. Even if they wanted, they couldn't do anything. Heinrich acted violently because that dumbass had tried something inappropriate, but now he was just coming here for a normal visit, nothing more than that. It would be rude for him to even deny that.
...
Adeline left the room, but she wasn't calm. Her plans were to go visit the town to buy something, but now that news ruined everything. She was a duke's daughter, one of the most powerful people in the entire empire, but still she couldn't even say no. It was beyond her capabilities. It was like she was following orders like a puppet, with nothing of her own.
The last time everything turned into a chaos because Leonhart was present and he was not some ordinary guy who would stay calm and analyse the outcome depending on his actions. He was a man who never thought about consequences before acting and the result was everything blew up on the most powerful man in empire, the emperor's face.
The duke also acted because he thought it was necessary, not because he thought waging a war was fun. His actions were justified because he did what a father must do to protect his daughter, but now he couldn't do anything, as there was nothing more to do. That guy was not coming to kidnap her or to fight her brother. He was just showing up here for a small talk, which shouldn't be denied. Still, she didn't like it.
From the very beginning of her life, she had always looked up to her brother, who was always fearless and faced everything head on. His ways of doings things were questionable, but still he didn't care. The entire empire scorned him for his woks but he didn't bet an eye. Lived his life however he wanted, followed no one's order, did nothing to please anyone. Stayed true to himself.
She also wanted to become just like him, but this society didn't allow her. She tried to learn his ways of doings things, but it just didn't feel right. Tried to talk like him, act like him, but couldn't. And one day Leonhart told her to be herself and don't follow him, so she took his words to the heart.

Adeline didn't become a mature and perfect lady in one day. She always had an interest in literary and books, so she started reading. All this girl's talks felt childish to her, so she didn't attend, despite being told thousands of times by her family to attend parties. Many noble families invited her to many social gathering, but it all felt a waste of time to her. With having an abundant amount of time in her hand, she once again stared meddling in her brother's affairs. Most of the time she just messed with him, as it was genuinely funny and relaxing for her, but also gave him advice when needed.
She didn't know how she was able to tell him what was right and what was wrong. It all just felt natural, like that was how she was supposed to act. She had read thousand of books at this point and knew many things which she wanted to share but couldn't. None of her friends were interested in hearing that. All they wanted was to talk about who was more handsome or who was more easygoing and many more useless things.
And eventually she had no friends left to talk, and she became alone. First, she thought it was best for her to not to have friends as she would have more time to read and mess with her brother, but that didn't last long. Everyone needed friends so they could hang out with them and share their thoughts, desires, secrets which they couldn't to their family. Friends were the definition of stress relievers. But as the days passed and with no friends or anyone to talk to, she started getting irritated and annoyed over little things because of the accumulated stress, which didn't go unnoticed by Leonhart.
He was a pinnacle of human arrogance and idiotocracy, but was always kind towards his family. He didn't follow orders and did everything he wanted, but never did anything that would harm his family or loved ones. At first, he thought Adeline was having a hard time with her friends, but soon after seeing her behavior, he realised it was not the case.
And one day he confronted her about it and she just told him everything. From that day, both of them started talking about what Adeline wanted to talk. They discussed various topics ranging from philosophy to human civilization and its views and why they named the horse Elizabeth. With this, her days got a little better. He also forced her to make friends and Caley, the orange-haired girl, was one of them. She had a huge crush on Leonhart, so talking with Adeline about her brother was not an issue, and they became good friends quickly. She would talk about how great Leonhart was and Adel would talk about how idiotic his views were.
Everything was going fine until the day Leonhart left for Esvet. From that day the frequency of the letters started increasing. She started receiving one letter every two days, and the contents were also pretty bizarre too. And now he was coming here in just 3 days.

"So... How was your Journey...?"
"It was bumpy, it is bumpy and it will be bumpy and why don't you move a little?" replied James in an annoyed tone. He was sitting in this carriage for like 3 days now when he was about to get out, Adeline came out of nowhere and started pushing him to the corner. Just what this girl wanted to do...?
"That moron is coming." said Adeline in a sad tone, without answering his question. She was mentally tired from thinking about all the ways to handle that guy alone. But now Leonhart was here, he would definitely help her solve the problem.
Hearing the word moron, both Sophia and Caley's face stiffened as they knew who he was and what he was. But James knew nothing about that, so he was confused.
"Who...is that...?"
"What....?"
"What? What?"
"What did you mean by who is that...? Literally you started calling him moron." Adeline couldn't understand how the guy who invented the trend of calling the crown prince a moron in every party, every public place, would forget about his own creation.
"I...I... Don't remember calling anyone a moron." James had no about what she was talking about, so he appeared puzzled naturally. He would call no one moron except some guys in office who only knew how to refresh their PCs. But that was another topic, so let's forget it.
"Hey Sophia, is he drinking again...?"
"No..."
"Then how on earth he doesn't remember about that idiot of a crown prince?"
"Crown-prince..." James had read about him in the library, but what did he do to her? He had no memories of those events as he was not here and those were not recorded in books like how google recorded everything.
"Yes... That moron. Remember..."
"No..."
"For the love of God, brother, why won't you remember these simple things?" said Adeline in an annoyed tone.
"Whaaa... You know what, just explain it to me then." Seeing her expression, the only thing James could do was to ask her to explain to him about the whole thing.
"What...?"
"Yes... Just explain it, and I will understand."
"You want me to explain the whole thing?"
"Yes." Nodded James. It was the only plausible way for him to know.
"No."
"..."
"No... I can't. I can't explain to you the who freaking year long events."
"I... C-an explain, if you don't mind." said the orange-haired girl timidly, raising her hand.
"You can..." said Adeline, shockingly, looking at Caley with wide eyes. She knew this girl had a huge crush on Leonhart but didn't expect her to go this far to explain to him about a year long events. Well, if she wanted to do the hard work, then let her do it. What's the issue?
"Yes."
"The go on."
So the girl with golden eyes explained everything to him. She didn't explain with details, as she was not an idiot contradicting Adel's expectations, but it did the job and James got the gist of it.
She explained from who he was to what he was and then how it all started. Then, how he (Leonhart) got into a fight with him (Crown guy) and how it turned into a war. Then everyone thought it was a joke and went home. After six months of silence how he sent a horse to Adeline and how he was writing letters to her. That's it.
"Wow..." that's the only thing left James' mouth as he was amazed by how that guy survived this long and kept doing his idiotic work. In conclusion, that guy really was a moron. That title really suited him.
