Chapter 8: Where it all beings
Richard POV
After finally leaving the dungeon: Goblin Hill, I log off and I did my normal exercise, just because I am fat, doesn’t give me any excuses to be lazy. 5 push ups, 5 squat, 15 seconds of knees up (on a spot). As well as 1 minute of of jogging on a stops.
While doing all this I was thinking of what I could improve on. My fighting skills in royal road are lacking, to be more precisely it is my control of the weapon that is hurting me the most, followed by my skills with the weapon and my control over this new speed and strength. oh well, I will have find a way to fix that later.
Afterward I went straight to bed. It didn’t even take a full second to fall asleep.
In the morning the sun has a nice way of waking me up. By that I mean, light bursting into my room and into my eyes. Blinding was a understatement. Struggling to see I fall over my sheets and fall head first onto the floor. Most wouldn’t call this a good way of waking themselves up but I have some very old problems when it come to sleeping ever since that day.
Shaking my head in an attempt to help me wake up and get ‘that’ picture out of my head, I do some morning stretches.
“What a long weekend playing RR for 16 hour each day. This is the first time in a long time I have had so fun.”
I laughed at myself for forgetting about how to enjoy life.
Heading into the kitchen I grab some bread from the fridge and some toast bread for my breakfast. Well I wait for the toast to cook I walk into the area where a living room is meant to belong, but mine is more of a grave. I sit down.
“Hope you are happy on the otherside. My life has been great thanks to yours and hers efforts.”
Getting up from where I had been sitting, I walked over to the get my toast. Adding some margarine and some peanut butter. While eating my breakfast I turn on the TV: Channel KMC Media.
The two reporters, Joo-wan and Shin Hye-min, were quarreling once again. I had only watched it a few times but they are almost always quarreling about something, whether it was weapons class or skills. Ironically, that was the thing which made me always come back to this stations News as all the other are bland and boring.
“The mage class has strong attack but needs people, mainly close-combat classes to buy them time to cast their spells.”
“Talking about people at the moment the user at British Confederacy’s and the Balkan guild have had some issues regarding taxes. However yesterday the Balkan guild has increased the tax yet again.”
“We had the chance to interview Mr Oh, one of the guild leaders opposing this tax increase.”
“Mr Oh, what is your view on this increase of taxes”
“A few weeks ago, the Balkan guild was trying to get along with other players, so they must have given up on negotiation. It is understandable some of the terms were unrealistic and down right stupid. So they are gaining as much money as possible for what seems to be certain war.”
‘Again, nothing that helps me.’
So I turned off the TV and get myself ready.
“Today I get a replacement pair of glasses for the ones that broke the other day
Heading out I greeted Sam.
“Hello.”
“Hey there Richard.”
Even though it happen a few years back not all adults had gotten over it, but some had, Sam was one of them. But he always try to look cool which he fail miserably.
“Going somewhere today Richard?”
“Yeah only got one pair of glass left.”
“So your are going to see Weck, I have told you before that’s not a good idea.”
“Not much I can do about that, my eye are can’t be fix at this point in time. plus I get them for free from Weck anyway.”
“Glass or contacts you have to wear all your life.”
Much has changed in a few years. Before it was 1 in 10 that needs glass or contact but now it’s more like 1 in billion, maybe less.
People with bad eyes fall into 2 cases. They fix one which is the majority of people but not the other one which is the one I am classified under.
“Gotta get going, later.”
“Later”
After a quick little walk, about about 3 blocks. ‘Man I am getting fitter since I stop going on the bus and walk to school’ I got to the bus stop and sat down,
“Have you heard Badray overtook Guilty and has become the top player in Royal Road.”
“Yeah, dude that last fight he showed on the hall of fame was amazing, I wish I had his skills.”
‘It really has become popular if even the elderly and those punk primary school kids are talking about it.”
“Dear did you get that ore you wanted?”
“What? I can’t hear you!”
It didn’t take long for bus to arrive, on it there were 5 people who had his school uniform sitting in the back row, 3 elderly at the front and a few couple sitting all around. He took a seat near the middle, right next to the door hoping it would be somewhat quiet. It wasn’t. The high schoolers at the back could be heard from the front with ease.
“Man, how did you ever got so rich Vince?”
“Royal Road is a vast place. Even though some items are of no value to you, doesn’t mean they have no value. That is our motto, as a dark gamer we make money and use our information to help others get more.”
“So lucky, they say that only one out of a thousand dark gamers can make a fortune.”
Vince, Almost as boasting this fact “yup I am one in a thousand.”
“That is my stop.”
“See you tomorrow.”
“You too.”
After he exited the bus, things got a lot quieter and at the next stop I got off, heading down the road until I got to the ‘Perfect Eye’ shop.
‘Everytime I come here, I regret it later. Oh well.’
Opening the door I come into what looks like what was once a party. Not that anyone ever came to one of these parties, yet as usual he manage to do it. Close the door to prevent his loud voice from escaping the room and getting him in trouble, again(x200).
Getting close to the counter was kind of hard to do due to the floor containing a bit of, - well everything.
“Well looks like Weck is away today, better leave.” as I start walking away to the door an old grandpa comes out.
“Sorry for the mess Richard come on in.”
This old man is Weck. Creepy, yes. But he is nice, unlike all my schoolmates. Even if he is wrinkly all over.
I follow him into the basement This is where he does all the work, from making glasses to fixing broken cars. it just like the shop, a complete and utter mess. So I was never surprised when he had trouble finding what he wanted.
“So, what can I do for you.”
"No smalltalk? That's unusual for you."
I was Trying to figure out where Weck is more quieter than usual.
“Yes. something has come up so tomorrow I will be out of town.”
“Lucky I came today then.”
“... true. So why did you come today Richard.”
“Some kids in my class smashed these.” I said, showing him the broken pair of glasses.
“Oh, hold on for a minute. I think I have a spare.”
Weck vanished behind a door making a lot of noise. five minutes he came out with a pair of glasses in his hands.
Trying them on, the size was not a problem, neither was my sight.
“How much is it.”
“Free for you, Richard just like everything here for you.” Wech just stares at the ground.
“Thanks Wech.” Trying to bring his spirit back.
“No problem, say have you got used to school yet?”
“It’s crap as always, why.”
“Out of all the high schools in our town you chose the one who is run by ‘Him’ why?”
“I got my reasons.”
“I guess it is not my place to ask yet is it? well... I can’t blame you.”
“I guess so”
Sadden by my words. Wech shaking his head he change his face back to a smile, as if he never show that reaction to my word in the first place.
“Ok, anyway now on to the chair. Got to check you up.”

Zues POV
Me and the other 3,000 guildmates were fighting a large group of level 60ish bandits, near by falcon city. Our goal is to get back a stolen, ruby ring. Our Guild, ‘Pig’s Head’, went to retrieve it but... the bandits are not only are as strong as we our but also in number sizes we are about equal. As our guild has mainly fought in groups we are having a hard time fighting them in 1v1 battles. lucky it seem like they are also facing the same problems. this fight remembers me of how easy it was back when I started at Baran village.

Zues POV: a few weeks ago (RT)
When we started Mrs Smith or Ahti in Royal Road told us to do quest. as that way we could make friend with NPC and how important it was as they the better friend you are with them the better the quest, sales and rewards are.
After 1 month(VT) of questing I finally enter the battlefield with good armor and a decent weapon. Aiming for me first pray.
A white bunny was hopping around.

The bunny was sent fly and crash landed a few meter away. The Bunny got back up as I charge at it. The Bunny some how disappear right in front of my eyes and at the next moment something hit my head. stunned. what just happen I was attacked again and again and all I can do is stand there and try to block the Bunny.

“I can’t die like that fat lump.”
Out of nowhere came an arrow. It didn’t hit the rabbit but it did stop it. Then some voices yelling the good old “CCHHAAAARRRRGGGEEEEE!!!!”(charge)
Soon the rabbit was surrounded by these people. I quickly notices that these player are schoolmates and series is also in the mix.
Not backing down I jump up and join in the circle.
We attack, attack and attack mostly miss the Bunny but after a while we did slay it.
“Definitely the hardest fight I have ever been.”
“Yep but we did kill it Zeus.”
“Series thank for the help.”
“No problem.”
As five more guys/girls came up to us, they had been firing the arrow to stop the bunny for running away. Our group heads back to eat after all it was a hard fight and a long day.
Later on we became the ‘Pig Head’s’ Guild. The guild which will make Richard life like hell in Royal Road.

Aurora POV
After another successful hunt from our party, we were have a talk about what we would do next.
our party consisted of the 4 princess of Arrowsmith and me the prince of arrowsmith. Each of us had stuck with a very similar build to what they had in real life with some changes to the face so that other couldn’t tell if we how we were. Also some minor change like increasing or decreasing height by a few cm and because they did it themselves instead of the system, it works. They could hide from them very well. (unlike richard). Aurora was blonde, Ula has blue hair, Nia has red hair, Hinata has black and Ibuki has white hair. Out of the five girl Ibuki was the only elf well everyone else was human.
Because they were so beautiful most store they went into, they got a discount and sometimes free items. Quest were easier to obtain but there weren’t as great as other because well, who would want to send a pretty girls to a dangerous place.
We had hunted together in the near by dungeons and had level up to the 100. We plan to explore this new world. Here we were free to do as we like and all five of us plan to enjoy it as much as possible. We could go anywhere we wanted to go and do as we like.
“Noel- ops i mean Aurora why did you start talking about Royal Road to who ever was on the roof, hiding” ask Hinata. even though hinata ask the other girls all had wonder the same thing.
but i just go more ironde “Just because. Why did you tell about me being a girl in here, Hinata”
Turning away Hinata replied “Did I do that?” as if she was trying to forget the event altogether.
Moaning to myself ‘Of course you did.’
Butting into the little chat was Ula “Anywhere are we heading?”
Ibuki replied “Only were the wind take me.”
“So, where is the wind take you then Ibuki.”
“Not home I can tell that at least.”
“True enough.”
We all look down. Not one of us could do what we like because of our ‘high class’ family statis. So when Royal Road came along it was a breather for us, As we didn’t need to do are due of show how ‘great’ are families are. That might have been the reason why our class are some what.. different.
“Well we have spent some time together. Do you guy think it is a good idea to go our own way and enjoy this world for a bit and meet up at some point.”
“I think that is a good idea.”
We each chose are direction to head in from the Citadel of Serabourg. Me I choose east head toward our home town, the village of Baran. Ibuki decide to join me. Saying the wind was telling her to go this way. I just fought it was a good idea to improve her subclass.

Having collect my new glasses and dealing with Wech. Strazio log back in and continue to head back to Baran village as the dungeon wouldn’t help me get any food so I need to go back to the village to restock.
Not long after 5 wolf shared a great idea to attack. They use the plan they had use for so long, two of them attack from the front, well he is only force on then 2 more snuck up behind him and take out his leg. Then he is as good as die.
Having done this some many time, they approach like they always do, only he didn’t stop when he should of sense them. Not care about this they attack. This is where thing didn’t go as planned Strazio draw two of the six sword he had obtained from ‘goblins hill’ and slashed the 2 which approach him from behind as they were next to him, killing them both, following the same strike his sword went right in between the two wolf who had jump to bit him. they couldn't stop in mid air and they were slayed. The swords went into it’s through and out of its head. Withdrawing his swords from the wolfs head he activated ‘Running strike to get close to the last wolf and beheaded it.
Finish them off in only 30 second Strazio grab the loot they drop and head to Baran village with abit more exp and loot.

Don the giant goblin POV
I had with 20 of his best goblin. come back from hunting near by Baran Village and had captured a pretty young girl when she was out picking flowers. Being in a pretty happy mood for getting this lovely meal. He saw a building on fire inside his village.
I and all of my men run to see what had happen, final we saw some my subordinate staring into the building.
“What is going on here.”
“Chief Don, your back and I see you got a good meal” only when his subordinate regain his thoughts over his lust did he answer “Well you were gone an intruders came in through the north entry and kill are guards, 7 died because of him.”’
with a voice filled with anger “7 died, send a message to Xlxhol. Don’t worry guy we will averager you.”
