Chapter 4

The tune seemed to be coming from within the cave, but it was too dark to see anything. She hesitated for a moment, but her curiosity got the best of her and she decided to venture inside. As she walked deeper into the cave, the tune grew louder and she started to make out other sounds as well.

It sounded like voices, but she couldn't quite make out what they were saying. She continued walking until she reached a large chamber, and that's when she saw them. A group of witches were gathered in a circle, chanting and playing musical instruments.

At the center of the circle was a cauldron, and from it emanated a strange, pulsing light. She recognized some of the witches as members of her old coven, but there were also some unfamiliar faces.

They all turned to face her, and for a moment, she thought she was in trouble. But then the high priestess spoke up and welcomed her. "Sister, it's been too long. Come, join us. We have much to discuss."

She hesitated for a moment, but then she remembered why she had come to this realm in the first place. She needed their help, and they were the only ones who could provide it. So, she stepped forward and joined the circle.

As the witches stared at her, the noise continued to play, and she realized that it was coming from a nearby portal. She glanced over and saw the shimmering, pulsating energy of another portal, beckoning her to come closer. She couldn't resist the temptation to explore this new world, but she knew she had to be cautious. With a deep breath, she approached the portal, bracing herself for whatever lay on the other side.

The tune became louder as she approached the portal, and she realized that it was not just a tune, but a voice calling out to her. The voice was familiar yet distant, and it echoed in her mind. She tried to ignore it and focus on her mission, but the voice persisted, and she could not shake the feeling that it was important.

The sound of her grandmother's voice became clearer. "When you hear the following tune, you'll know that I'll be with you soon," the voice repeated. She felt a sense of comfort and familiarity wash over her, and without hesitation, she stepped through the portal.

She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, trying to clear her mind. As she did, the voice became clearer and she could make out the words. It was her grandmother's voice, and she was saying something about a prophecy.

Suddenly, the portal flickered and glowed with a bright light. She opened her eyes and saw that the voice was coming from within the portal. Without hesitation, she stepped through the portal and found herself in a completely different world.

The world was filled with vibrant colors and strange creatures she had never seen before. As she looked around, she saw that the voice was coming from a figure in the distance. She started to make her way towards it, but as she did, she couldn't shake the feeling that this was just the beginning of a much bigger journey.

As she surveyed the new world, her gaze fell upon a quaint cottage. Drawn by the alluring floral fragrance that filled the air, she approached the dwelling. The scent was almost hypnotic, a clear indication of the presence of a skilled and benevolent witch.

She approached the cottage, noticing the intricate carvings on the wooden door and the colorful flower beds surrounding it. As she knocked on the door, a woman with long silver hair and a warm smile answered.

As she approached the cottage, she noticed the vibrant flowers and herbs blooming around it. The cottage itself was small and quaint, with a thatched roof and wooden shutters on the windows. She hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should knock or not, but the allure of the perfume-like scent was too much to resist. She knocked on the door, and after a few moments, it creaked open to reveal an elderly woman with kind eyes and a warm smile.

"Welcome, dearie. I've been expecting you," the woman said in a soft voice.

Taken aback by the woman's words, she hesitated for a moment before asking, "How did you know I was coming?"

The woman simply smiled and replied, "I have a gift for sensing things, my dear. Now, come in and make yourself at home."

As she stepped inside the cottage, a cozy atmosphere enveloped her. The walls were adorned with tapestries and shelves full of books, and it filled the air with the sweet aroma of baked goods.

The woman led her to a table and offered her a cup of tea. As they sipped their tea, the woman explained that she was a good witch, one who used her powers for the betterment of others. She offered to help her in any way she could and even provided her with some much-needed supplies for her journey.
