Ch 2 The Hideout

"1 YEAR!!!" Triss exclamied with wide eyes, coughing a bit at the sudden over exertion of her voice "B-bu.... wha... MAYA! My sister her her operation is she... is she...."

Triss trailed off her mind not even wanting to utter the words she feared the most.

"Calmd down, Maya is allright, the operations and transplantations went without a hitch." Triss felt relived as Sevin expelled her worries but added more as he continued. " She is living in a dormatory for teenagers with similar circumstances, she does go on a doctors perscribed Happy pill, anti-depressiants, however she has been trapping it down slowely and stedily."

"How do you know so much about that?" She asked, adressing the new concerns growing inside of her mind.

"See it as a kind of Extraservice if you will." Sevin replied. "It is simply a little someting that I provide everyone that deal with me."

"You see Triss pretty much everyone in here," Wheat the supervillian said as he gestured with his arms outspred to the other sleeping poeple in the room, "were pretty much like you."

"People on the edge ready to let go but just with a little something holding them back, witch I help them with." He continued, bringing his arms back to gether again.

"To some it was a familymember or friend in need other times someone wanted another one dead," He took a breath and deliverd the last line with a kind of sternes that would echo in Triss´s mind."...and I provided."

"If someones father´s cancer relapsed even after they had given their life to me it only feels fair I make sure he gets cured again, otherwise it would feel like I broke a promise..." Sevin said, answering her unvoiced question, then simply stopping and scrathing the back off his head a littlebit.

"Well about time we get you out off that chair new recruit." And with that the multitude of red flowers growing out of her body started floating, she stared flabbergasted at the beautifull display and noted to her relief that it did not hurt, at all.

As Triss continued watching the spectacle she noticed that the flowers were in fact not floting but being held by thin red string, she looked down to her arms were the flowers had grown and noticed some more of the strange blood vessel like string, she started tracing it with her eyes.

Her eyes slowely made thier way to Sevins fingertips, his hand now holding the bouqet of blood red plants. His power she concluded, how she did not notice them before was embaressing considering she had been too focused on his words, face and eyes.

He undid the IV and then came the most embarresing moment of Triss´s life as Sevin disconnected her catheter and whatever she had for her other waste disposal, and carfully wiped away any filth that had stained her with a wet cloth. He had behaved proffesionally but it did not help the feeling of just wanting to dissepear or fall through the floor she felt.

Sevin had thankfully dressed her in a pair of loosefitting grey sweatpants before he carried her to a wheelchair he had in a corner, he opend the door out froom the dimly lit room and finnaly she was out. Out of THAT room.

To her suprise she was not in a supervillian lair of strange white metal corridors or a old abandon drug den with flaking paint and cracked roof, instead the enviroment that Sevin was pushing her wheelchair bound self in was that of a hotel.

The floor was a giant cozy looking red mat with a yellow pattern woven in to it, the walls were painted in warm colours and lamps comfotably lit up all spaces. The biggest difference from a normal hotel was that there wasn not nearly as many door, and none of the doors had numbers on them, and no windows.

They made it to a pair of wodden and goldtrimmed double doors, she felt scarred, would she meet The Peacock Prince, leader of desire? would she meet a squadroon of cops ready to arrest her? a pile of bodies?. Her train of thought got derailed as the door opened by themself and she was taken in to a big room filled with chairs and recliners, looking like a comortabe hotel lobby dialed upp to 11.

To the right was a expensive looking kitchen with everything one might imagine and to the left sitting at a computer was the only other person here that she could see. He did not seem to care that they had entered as he typed away at his keyboard. Sevin seated her close to the kitchen as he went to get her something to eat, to her dissepointment it was just a can of tomato soup but considering how weak she was it seemed logical.

Sevin used his thin "blood vessel tentacles" to spoon feed her the soup, she still could hardly lift her arms but it was getting better, while he used his hands to braid her now overly "not-cut-in-over-a-year" long hair, witch was very calming combined with the only other sound coming from the keyboard claking.

Suddenly the other man stoped typing and shoot an dissaproving stare at Triss. She flinched a little under his harsh gaze and quikly turned away.

"Don´t be rude to the new recruit Omar." Sevin said in a play full tone.

"New recruit? What the fuck do you.....She got powers while asleep in your friggin greenhouse?" Omar asked.

"Prettymuch yeah." Sevin replied.

Omar just sighed, shaked his head and rose from his chair making his way over to the kitchen to get something from the humongeus fridge. Now that Omar stood upp Triss finnaly got a good look of him.

Omar was pretty huge, taller than Sevin and with more muscle. Broad shoulders with a black besketball shirt, the kind without arms, and a few millimeters of platinum blonde hair and shaven face. Broad face with eyes that seemed almost artificialy white and blue while the strange seams right under his shoulders betrayed cybernetic arms. A sharp nose and she heard a sligth slavic accent as he went past her mumbeling something in audible to her.

As Omar went back to his computer Wheat once again seemed to read Triss´s mind.

"That is Shrimp but do not let the name fool you, he is one of the strongest Supers in the city and my second in command of The Red Star, on a power scale he is around 7/10. I am like 4/10 and right now you are barley 1/10 so don´t piss him off or you will find yourself on the wrong side of his Hydropumps wondering where your limbs went."

Triss felt a cold chill run down her spine she knew about Shrimp, everyone in the city knew about Shrimp. One of the strongest villians in the city, with his strange powerssuits ending in a 4meter long shrimptail with thin creepy legs letting him treverse practicly any surface, and thought to be the vice-leader of Desire, yet Wheat was supposedly over him. Just shows how much the public knows she guessed, or how good Sevin is at keeping a secret.

She went back to eating her soup, Sevins advise echoing in her mind.
