All jester saw was James shedding his skin like a snake with blood all over him, he scratched and scratched like a maniac looking like he had just murdered someone and drained their blood for fun.
But Jester didn't move a muscle or try to help james, instead he stood there watching, seeing how it unfolds, it went on for a few more minutes before James finally lost his consciousness.
After that had happened jester picked him up and put him on his back like nothing happened, then he took him back into the cave and laid him down on the on his bed made of soft things they could find on top of a rock and cleaned him up with water magic, he dried him with fire magic before leaving James to sleep and rest.
"You think he's fine dear?" Asked Elisha to jester "don't worry honey, he's fine" "yes but it's not this aggressive for other humans, I'm just worried something will happen to him" "don't worry my love, it's just the natural way of life, and I'll stand guard so no one can harm him."
For the next few days jester stood guard Infront of the cave while Elisha took care of James and fed her three cubs with meat they preserved specifically for this day, they knew this day would come and they didn't know when James would wake up, which is why they kept as much meat preserved in order to protect James for as long as they needed to.
After 3 days of James being unconscious something weird happened, his body started to emit mana like never before, it almost felt like he'd be drained out by the end of it but jester assured Elisha that it was normal and nothing would happen.
Finally on the 5th day after he had been almost fully drained out of all his energy and mana, he woke up, he looked around at first assessing where he was, then he asked his step-parents "what happened?" Elisha jumped in joy James was alive and she was happy he was.
He was one of the only things now that made jester happy, and jesters happiness was her happiness, she would protect james with her life he she had to just to see her husband smile.
James did not understand what happened and looked at jester for answers, jester seeing his confusion explained "You have just shedded your mana body for a mana core, let me explain more, you humans unlike us animals are born with a mana body, it's significant weaker to a mana core which is the source of magic itself.
"But once a human reaches his peak potential in his mana body and can control the mana body at his own will, they unlock their mana core, the mana core is much more superior to a mana body and finally a mage starts his true journey in the path of magic."
Listening to this James was dumbfounded, wasn't he just 3 years old? How could he max out his mana body and reach its potential? Wouldn't this you know like take years? Possibly decades? Or even eras? Oh well he had no time to worry.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
He needs to train harder and become as strong as possible, so he doesn't ever have to be chained by anyone or abused/beaten by anyone ever again, but some part of him scares him that he'll be looked at like monster for being so strong at such a young age.
Oh well if he does have to go to the outside world he'll just cancel his true potential and do the necessary to survive, putting thoughts aside he showed determination to go train but jester absolutely forbade him to train right now.
He said "you need to rest right now, no exceptions no buts, you need to rest and recharge your energy or you'll just be working kill yourself" James could do nothing but sigh and obey his father.
-------
5 days later...
-------
After 5 days he was finally permitted to practice at the most of 1 hour, no more, he wanted to train so much more but what could he really do against his beast of a father or I guess step father who could trap him with a single earth barrier.
In the past 5 days though he had gained a lot of weight as he just ate and slept, so he needed to get that excess fat off of him, so he first started with 20 minutes of exercise and fight training drill Elisha taught him.
Apparently she learned some human fighting techniques from a very formidable human opponent, 'I wonder if that's my actual father' he thought but quickly dismissed it would unfold as he got older, right now he just needs to practice to get as strong as he can.
Currently his mana core was the lowest tier of brown, well with physical and magical training it'd get better but he'd have to work very hard for that so he decided to start from today.
After his 20 minutes of physical exercises and what seemed like martial arts, he finally started his magical training, well it was more like trying to create his own spells as he had no access to the human library of spells he heard about from jester.
The fireball magic he used on his step-siblings was self-made, and he was actually pretty proud of it, but jester pointed out some mistakes he failed to notice.
------
Flash back...
------
"Show me your self-made move" jester said waiting with anticipation "okay!" Said James with enthusiasm as he showed the fireball to jester, he also had earth water and even electricity ball but let's keep them hidden for now.
"Hm, good very good for your first try little one, but let me tell you something that you probably missed, first thing is that your fire ball doesn't need to be so big haha, you can compress it down to make it stronger, currently it is strong but it'll be more concentrated and faster if you compress it down.
"So intern more faster and stronger, also try not make it too compressed as it'll explode in your hands of you try to do so, make sure it's just the right amount so you can destroy the foes infront of you"
------
End of flashback...
------
"Okay so in theory that should work with all the other power balls I created, namely earth, water and electricity. But what about I try to make a spear now? That'd be helpful" a spear would be helpful as he could run around with it and throw it at anyone he wanted also retrieving it as his magic would return to him if he willed it to.
Now the question remains which element should he use? Earth would be a nice pick as he would just make the spear out of obsidian and it could basically penetrate through everything, but if he used lightning he could electricity his opponent killing him faster, if he uses fire he could kill a large army faster.
In the end he ended up using all the elements, at first he gathered mana and created a shell out of earth/obsidian, afterwards he made the inside hollow and put electricity and fire inside.
Now it was finally time to test it out, he went hunting without jesters permission, he was sure jester wouldn't mind as he was testing out his new spell, he ran through the woods for a little while until he found a wild boar, he hurriedly ran behind a tree and hid there for a while.
After a little while he looked at the boar which was feasting on its meal of fruits, he then threw the spear finally determining that it was safe to throw the spear at the boar, as lightning itself was stored in the spear even if the boar knew the spear was coming he would not be able to dodge.
After the spear hit the boar it absolutely pulverized the boar, the meat was cooked inside out by the electrification and heat from the fire and the earth spear shell went through the boar from one side to the other.
James absolutely dumbfounded by his new spell or I guess mixture of spells, stood at his place for a solid minute before moving again to get the food for today, he knew jester would be happy with him now.. or so he hoped...
Please jester don't be too mad...
