Just FYI, Normally a new chapter would come out today at 4pm, but I've delayed it because to be honest, I did not like the flow of the dialog. It'll come out Monday at 4pm.

As for the flow of the story. At first I wanted to spend around 5 or 6 chapters talking about the MCs early childhood but I decided it really didn't need to be told. He had a fairly normal first 14 years and I didn't want to just post fluff just for word count. Now the next few years of his life have a lot going on so expect a dozen or so chapters before he turns 16 or so.
