6. Prologue: The Carnage (5)

The sheer presence of the eight SSS-ranked beings sent shockwaves through the battlefield, shaking the very foundations of Hell itself. Each of their forms exuded an aura of pure annihilation, distorting the air around them, threatening to tear the world apart.

The guide, clutching the soul tightly, stood frozen in terror. His voice, barely a whisper, trembled with dread. “These… these aren’t demons. They’re forces of annihilation.”

The soul, wide-eyed and trembling, could only stare in disbelief. “What have we walked into?”

The demon hordes, already cowed by the arrival of the seven rulers, began to retreat instinctively. The rebellion, once poised to shake Hell to its core, faltered as these eight horrors—these supreme beings—emerged, each more terrifying than anything the demons had ever faced. The very earth beneath them trembled, and the sky above seemed to darken in response to their presence.

Amidst the chaos, Groviko stood tall, his laughter ringing out across the battlefield like the cackling of a madman. His arrogance radiated from him, eyes gleaming with confidence. “Witness the glory of my master’s creations! You, seven lords of Hell, think you hold dominion here? Let’s see how you fare against them!”

His words echoed defiantly as he gestured to his summoned monstrosities. The very air crackled with malicious energy, and the battlefield seemed to darken even further under his influence.

The eight rulers exchanged grim, resolute glances. Lucifuge Rofocale, ever calm and composed, was the first to speak. His voice was cold and measured, like the whisper of death itself. “Foolishness,” he intoned. “Power borrowed is power fleeting. These abominations will fall like all others before us.”

With those words, the rulers of the eight circles surged forward. Their combined might clashed with Groviko’s monstrous champions, and the battlefield erupted into a cataclysmic collision that threatened to tear the world asunder.

King Minos vs Draugaroth, the Unyielding Abyss

King Minos, his golden scepter raised high, split the earth beneath him with his overwhelming presence. In front of him, Draugaroth, the colossal obsidian-skinned behemoth, loomed. The chains that bound its form rattled ominously as tendrils of dark gravity rippled from its body, distorting reality itself. Minos’s staff summoned jagged mountains of stone that rose to challenge Draugaroth’s crushing fists. The Unyielding Abyss responded by slamming its fists into the ground, creating shockwaves that rippled across the battlefield. The air around them bent and trembled as these two titans collided, the very fabric of space shuddering under the impact.

Asmodeus vs Malphas, the Stormbringer

With a deafening roar, Asmodeus, his three heads howling in unison, summoned fiery tendrils of lust that lashed out with blinding speed, incinerating all in their path. From the roiling storm above, Malphas, the crow-headed beast with obsidian wings, emerged. Its talons, dripping with acid, slashed through the fiery onslaught. Malphas summoned violent winds, whipping poisonous gas through the air, obscuring Asmodeus’s sight. But Asmodeus, never one to yield, retaliated with torrents of hellfire, sending pillars of flame toward the beast. Malphas dove, its wings cutting through the fire like a razor, and the battle raged on in a deadly dance of flame and acid.

Beelzebub vs Shriekthorn, the Fear Bringer

Beelzebub spread his decayed wings, summoning a swarm of infernal insects that consumed everything in their path, turning the battlefield into a writhing mass of death. Shriekthorn, an insectoid monstrosity, screeched a terrifying cry that sent waves of fear through the ranks, causing the demon hordes to falter. Beelzebub’s swarm enveloped Shriekthorn, but the insectoid beast’s blade-like limbs lashed out, tearing apart the infernal insects with savage precision. The two insectoid horrors clashed with unstoppable force, their cries echoing as they tore through the battlefield, shaking the very earth beneath them.

Mammon vs Kalruun, the Lava Titan

Mammon hurled gilded shards that exploded on impact, turning the earth to molten gold. But Kalruun, the horned demon with molten veins coursing through its body, charged with fiery fury. His molten fists cracked the air as they slammed into the ground, sending waves of lava cascading through the battlefield. Mammon’s golden shards collided with the lava, but the heat and fury of Kalruun’s power were too great to contain. Kalruun’s fiery limbs shattered the earth as Mammon’s golden wealth melted into pools of searing liquid. The battle between fire and greed escalated, each blow more destructive than the last.

Amon vs Umbrieth, the Reality Bender

Amon, his primal rage igniting every fiber of his being, tore through the air with his claws, colliding with the shifting wraith, Umbrieth. The wraith phased in and out of reality, evading Amon’s blows with impossible agility. Umbrieth’s tendrils twisted in and out of existence, each strike coming from impossible angles. But Amon, in a frenzy of rage, tore through the fabric of reality itself, shaking the ground beneath him. Every clawed strike connected with Umbrieth’s shadowy form, but the wraith’s elusive nature made it a near-impossible target, creating a whirlwind of fury and evasion.

Belial vs Gorgonath, the Venomous Colossus

With a flick of his hand, Belial unleashed a wave of searing flames, incinerating everything in their path. But Gorgonath, the serpent-like colossus, was unfazed. Its multiple heads hissed, unleashing venomous breath that dissolved the very air around it. Belial’s flames clashed with Gorgonath’s poison, creating an explosion of fire and toxic fumes. The serpent’s jagged scales deflected the flames, and its many heads struck like vipers, aiming for Belial with deadly precision. But Belial, with his mastery over fire, held his ground, his infernal flames scorching the serpent’s many heads, as he burned through its venomous defenses.

Minotaur vs Terrorox, the Behemoth of Steel and Bone

Minotaur, wielding his colossal battle axe, charged with unrelenting brutality. Terrorox, a hulking behemoth of steel and bone, met him head-on, its dual warhammers glowing with cursed runes. The two titans collided, their weapons clashing with earth-shattering force, the very ground beneath them splintering. Minotaur swung his axe with devastating precision, but Terrorox absorbed the blows, retaliating with crushing warhammer strikes. The clash of steel and bone echoed across the battlefield as the two behemoths waged war for supremacy.

Lucifuge Rofocale vs Vexalore, the Eye of Destruction

Lucifuge Rofocale, ever the master of binding and control, raised his hand. Dark chains erupted from the ground, binding entire groups of enemies in an instant. But Vexalore, the floating abomination with countless glowing eyes, retaliated with destructive beams of pure devastation. Each of Vexalore’s eyes fired beams that tore through Lucifuge’s chains, cutting through the very fabric of reality itself. Lucifuge, unfazed, moved with deadly precision, deflecting the beams with his own dark power, closing in on the abomination. With every eye of Vexalore projecting beams of destruction, Lucifuge shifted his strategy, aiming to breach the abomination’s defenses and bring an end to its reign of terror.

The battlefield was consumed by explosions of fire, shadow, light, and destruction. The clash of these titans shook the very foundations of Hell, and the air crackled with the power of their conflict. The guide and the soul could only watch in stunned silence as the fate of Hell itself hung in the balance.
