As the morning wind hustle and the sun rises. The sun lights up the room of the young boy named Grim Hardwell, who just woke up from a good night's sleep. He stood up from the bed and fixed his deep brown hair, washed his face, and went downstairs. He greeted an old man cooking in the kitchen, his dad, Gild Hardwell. The Hardwells lived in Whiteshore Country’s Forest near the lake. Hardwell’s are the most trusted supplier of fishes in the market.
“Dad did I smell Glumfish soup?!”
“What do you think? It’s your special day so I made your favorite.”
“Special day?”
“Are you seriously forgetting your own birthday Oh stupid son of mine?” Gild finished cooking the soup and asked Grim to sit at the dining chair. He put two bowls of soup and a piece of bread on the wooden table.
“I knew it! Man, I hope every day is my birthday!” he laughs.
“Then we’ll lose the money, you idiot!” Though he curses his son Gild loved Grim so much that he’ll give everything to him. Gild looked at the boy and smiled. After finishing their morning meal, Gild took something out of his pocket, covered with pure white handkerchief is a necklace with a purple stone ornament. He gave the necklace to the boy, and with a bit teary eyes he said:
“Take care of this. Your mother wanted you to have this at your eighteenth birthday. Always wear it and never lose it.” Grim grabbed the necklace and put it on. Even though he never met his mother, he loves her very much. He always imagined what she looked like since there are no devices or ways they could capture a persons face at that time or maybe they have they just don’t know how.

“I will cherish this forever,” Grim said to his dad sincerely. “Well then dad, I need to go and deliver these fishes you caught! Take care on the river!”
“You too son!”
Grim grabbed a few boxes which have fishes inside and carried it all into the back of the ox carriage. He hopped on and followed the trail.
A few moments later, while Grim is traveling for the town he saw a familiar silver-haired pretty girl wearing a dirty white long-sleeved shirt, pants, and wooden sandals. She is just a few steps from him. He went forward past the girl a little bit, stopped, and looked back. It was his friend Arriane Jeanne Leumi, she is one year older than him, has bright red eyes like fire and have a piercing stare, her stature were thin, and her skin is pale. Looking a little less healthy she is still one of the beautiful girls in Whiteshore. Leumi family was once the biggest and well-known seller in Whiteshore. However, due to past war, their family lost some of their assets, which turned to a big loss in profit and some of the competitors grabbed that opportunity to grab places in the market. Now Arriane's parents are no longer living and only her uncle, the husband of her dead aunt who was the sister of her mother, is now taking care of her. Their last store is located at the Whiteshore central city. The question is, is he really taking care of her?
Grim called Arriane who was looking blue and sad. He told her that she could hop on the back of the carriage, if she is also going to the town. Not noticing the girl's mood and state, he and Arriane went off.
