Yawn
A loud long yawn echoes through the office, drawing the glances and eye rolls of his, Veritas’s, coworkers, with the exception of 2, “I feel you Ver, last night was hectic huh?”, a blond man says.
Veritas looks at the man blankly before calling him out, “Josh, the fuck you talking about? Your ass was sitting in the back getting protected by 1 of our 3 tanks, of which said tank had AOE defensive skills, you literally just had to sit there and send a heal to the lowest person, or just spam heals and buffs on cool down, to which I’m 85% sure that you did. Not to mention me and Pan[1] were pulling aggro risking our asses to be main DPS’s.”
Josh stood there whilst his mind was processing the cluster of information dumped on him, before retorting, “You make it sound like you and Pan weren’t DPS’s before the raid, you guys chose to be the moment you started playing!”, he said angrily, muttering, “Plus it was a team effort, if our roles were switched it would be the same.”
”Probably wouldn’t, though I doubt there will be a game which we can switch, unless we make alt’s but I can’t be bothered power leveling a character to max.”

”Fine, if we ever play a different game, I’ll be the rogue, you can be the healer.”
“Nah can’t be bothered, plus it’s way less fun, not to mention I’m not leaving my back to your trash ass.” Veritas chuckles, getting playfully hit by Josh who replied, “Nah I wouldn’t abandon you, unless you continue being toxic.”
“Who do you think I am? Someone who is toxic? Never!” Veritas jokes, but quickly changes the subject seeing Josh about to reply, “Anyway how is it going with you and Jess?” He says with a sly grin.
Josh however starts feeling down, “I don’t know man, I’m starting to think she is intentionally denying me, I asked her, “Hey are you busy tonight?” She says yes, I say “oh okay, what about tomorrow,” she says she’s free then, I ask if she wants to go to the movies, she says no, then I ask the aquarium, no again, the beach? Nope, I don’t know.”
”Nah mate, she is denser then a black hole, one time during middle school she was asked out by her crush and she didn’t realise until 4 dates in, to be fair the crush didn’t go for a kiss but he made it obvious.” Veritas says.
”Seriously?” Veritas nods.
Before either could continue talking Veritas blinks and Josh is gone, then blinks again, and he’s in a white void.
[1:Pan is a nickname for one of their in-game teammates, who’s name is Pancake. With the period because Pancake was taken.
