·      Gates between Earth and another world/reality open

·      A global ancient fantasy empire invades

  o   Hundreds of Thousands of civilians are slaughtered before and during the military response to enemy forces while the enemy lost nearly a million soldiers

  o   Enemy uses Magic, Magical Beasts, sword’s, Bows…

  o   The first battle lasts three days before being pushed back through the gates

  o   World government’s and the United Nations unsure of what to do even consider nuking the invaders but instead send their own invasion forces through

·      War between worlds

  o   War lasts for around two decades

  o   Empire would not surrender or submit to the united nations

  o   For most of the first decade the empire just continued to send troops in waves of old military formations to be slaughtered

  o   The united nations won almost every battle until the empire staged a new tactic using magic as barriers to get close

   §  Did not last long most magicians were to tired after the first two skirmishes to continue tactic

  o   The empire sent wave after wave of races and monsters at the united nations troops

   §  Humanoids – Elves, dwarves, humans, Halflings, gnomes, orcs, barbarians, goblins, Giants, etc

   §  Demi-humans/beast men – wolf men, fox, cat’s, rabbits, lizard men, mole men, rat men, centaurs, Minatare, bird men, snake men, fairies, shark men, mermen/mermaids,  etc.

   §  Demonic creators – Demons, hellhounds, succubus’s, vampires, undead, spirits, etc.

   §  Magical/fantasy creatures – Trolls, wolves, ents, Dragons, talking animals, chimera’s, brownies, massive multi tusk elephants, etc.

  o   They even started to resort to dark magic of necromancy to raise an army of undead

   §  For over a year the united nation’s military had a string of losses trying to fight their new enemy

   §  Eventually they began to devise new tactics against the undead

                  ·      Using flame throwers to burn the ranks of undead to ash

                  ·      Using armored vehicles to run over the undead breaking bones and tearing recently dead flesh

                  ·      Killing the summoners or destroying certain magical objects

   §  Near the beginning of the war fear spread when demons also began to attack

  o   Into the second decade of the war the empire began to fall apart

   §  Fiefdoms, races, and even corrupt politicians began breaking away from the empire

                  ·      Some formed their own countries

                  ·      Others negotiated with the united nations to join

                  ·      Some even started peace talks

                  ·      Others fought anyone and everyone

   §  The number of male soldiers dropped severely thanks to the war and so did the size of the empires armies

   §  They also could not train soldiers fast enough due to the long process.

   §  A few races even went extinct in the proses of the war

   §  Eventually the last few years were just gorilla warfare with remnants of the empire

  o   Over the course of the war many things happened

   §  The empire had five different emperors and two empresses during the war

                ·      The first sent the invasions to earth but eventually he died with in the first five years of war

                ·      The second emperor died with in two years of taking power on the front lines

                ·      Over the next three to four years two emperors and an empress took power but were assassinated by other’s in line for the throne

                ·      The last emperor put up a valiant effort to retake control of the situation but by then the empire was beginning to fall apart at its seams, he eventually committed suicide most believe

                ·      Finally the last to take power was an empress the last living child of the first emperor, she fought for almost a year before surrendering to the United Nations and began peace talks.

   §  The empire also sent a number of suicide attacks

                ·      A hand full made it to earth and attempted to kill those in power though some who they believed were in power and they attacked were actually company head

                ·      The worst attack was on the United nations building in new york were a tenth of the delegates in council where killed

                ·      The rest of the suicide attacks where made on officers and soldiers holding positions in the other world

  o   A great fear arose from illnesses, disease, and parasites from this other world spread

   §  The first was the Pig virus or Swine Flu

                ·      The first sighting of the virus were shortly after the gates were opened around the world

                ·      The virus alters the infected causing them to grow tusks and alter their body’s to give them the look of pig men thus given the viruses name

                ·      The infected also lost major brain functions degenerating to the point that they lived like cave men

                ·      The infection was spread through direct contact and body liquids along with bites

                ·      The virus quickly spread from around a few gates infecting regions of the middle east, and northern Africa with minor contained outbreak around the world

                ·      Scientist eventually discovered that the virus is genetically connected the species of Orc’s in some way

                ·      Orc’s are also immune to the virus

                ·      Through study Doctors and scientist believe it is a cross between a virus and a parasite though currently they are not able to find a cure or vaccine

                ·      The infected are known to rape and pillage settlements, towns, and cities.

                ·      Some people have even been known to purposely be infected

   §  Another virus was the werewolf virus

                ·      The realization that werewolves are real lead to the united nations hunting them to near extinction

                ·      The virus infects its victims through bites and body liquids

                ·      Werewolves are harder to find due to them only changing during a full moon

                ·      The infected also act slightly differently then they use to such as a craving for raw meat

                ·      Eventually negotiations between the infected and Government began though the situation is still unresolved

   §  Another virus like the werewolves is the Vampires

                ·      Vampires have also been hunted though not targeted as much as the other two viruses

                ·      The infected only turn when injected, injecting blood, or infected blood gets in the bodies system

                ·      The infected can no longer go out in daylight

                ·      The infected still remain sentient unless they do not get enough blood causing them to degenerate into blood thirsty beasts

   §  Another virus is connected to the bubonic plague

                ·      This virus is currently at the top of the CDC’s threat list though there has been a hand full of contained outbreaks

                ·      Some do not die from the disease but fall severely ill with no signs of getting better – believed to be resistance created from after effects of earths bubonic plague

                ·      A vaccine has been created recently and has passed all trials.

   §  There are a number of other viruses though not as serious

  o   After the war the countries of earth began dividing up territories of this newly conquered world

   §  The world was made up of four continents or five if you count the one covered in ice and its temperatures average bellow zero

   §  This world unlike earth was covered in about 67% water compared to earths 71%

   §  The planet even had three moons with one partially destroyed creating a small asteroid belt/ring around the planet

   §  The planet was also slightly larger then earth but did not have that much of a difference

   §  Scientists continue to study the gates but can not confirm if the other world is in another solar system, another reality or some would say dimension, or traveling through time(though this belief is considered by most to be the most unlikely),…

                 ·      The scalars, and mages of the other world do not fully understand it either with their only knowledge discovered in ancient text and artifacts on how to create the gates with little knowledge of anything else, some even believe that the gods gave it to them (Earth discovers a form of Gods though they are more like immortals that can live forever if not killed)

                 ·      But people of both worlds believe that the gates use to exist at one time in ancient history due to legends, myth’s, and a few ancient scriptures

   §  Eventually a could war between three major powers began

                 ·      The alliance lead by the united states with a number of countries such as Canada, Japan, Mexico, Britain, Spain, France and parts of south America, and Australia

                 ·      Then there is the New United nations lead by Russia with major portions of Europe, Africa, Cuba, a country or two of south America, and the middle east as members

                 ·      Then there is the Asian Collective or collanition lead by china controlling most of Asia, portions of Africa , and north Korea which took control of south Korea during the 20 year war(so now its just Korea)

                 ·      There is very few neutral countries left mainly in Africa but there are a few here in there through out the world that fear joining or not joining a side may ignite a war

   §  A realization occurred to the people of earth and the other world happened as the war ended

                 ·      Earth lost around 80 million to the war but including the viruses and other effects of the war the total casualty rate was just over 400 million and still counting

                 ·      The other world on the other hand lost most of its male population due to over conscription of troop that were easily massacred by Earths weapons and war machines, over all the other world lost around a third of its overall population

  o   Original male to female ratio around 1:2 or one male to 2 females

  o   New current male to female ratio is between 1:15 or 1:30 (Also depends on race)

  o   It has now been forty years since the war and sixty since the invasion

   §  Peace between the nations of earth grew during the course of the war but began to fray as the war ended dividing up into the three powers

   §  The races of the other world living under the control of earth governments

                  ·      The Alliance says they believe in equality though many of the other races or species are treated as 2ndrate citizens while a hand full are treated as pests and outcasts

          o   Slavery is still illegal though there is still the black market slave trade, and sex trafficking

                  ·      The New United Nations has reinstated forms of indentured servants and criminal (slave’s) workers used in manual labor

          o   The other species/races are treated harshly and unfairly but they are still mostly free under their rule

                  ·      The Asian Collective on the other hand have enslaved all the other species and races in their new territories and have tried to rapidly gather recourses and build up their new frontier while preparing for war

   §  In the alliance territories for the last thirty five years began trading resources and knowledge with the other races living in their new territory’s

                  ·      They began to give basic technologies, and teach new things that were new to their world and in return traded knowledge on magic and other thing

          o   Studies over the last 24 years have shown that around 52% of humans from earth have the ability to use magic while less then half would ever be proficient in it if taught

   o   Technologies have also changed and even improved with the addition of magic though some have been slightly set back

   o   The dwarves have also traded information on their metal working and mining while we gave them more advanced equipment to use

   §  Learned about fantasy metals and even found a few though rare deposits on earth

   §  Have learned alternative if not better ways to purify metal

         o   Trading with the elves has also given humanity the knowledge and ability to start fixing and improving the environment on earth and even ways to purify the environment from dangerous pollution

         o   With all this trades improvements to earth’s cities began and even knew ones began to form in the other world combining each others knowledge

                 ·      Scientists believe that combining technologies and magic could advance us farther and faster then before.

         o   They believe it may be possible with the knowledge gained from the other world that we could begin colonizing space within the next century and even taraform mars…

         o   They also believe that we could combine the knowledge to create or even find and improve forms of energy and power sources
